City Park is one of my favorite parks in Denver. The sunsets on the east side of the lake are absolutely magical. You can get a great view of downtown, especially if you go up on the steps of the nature and science museum. I used to live near here and walked at the park every single day. The flowers are amazing once they start planting them in the spring here as well. Do yourself a favor and come watch at least one sunset on the lake here, in my experience, I have had many life changing sunsets at City Park!

Very beautiful park from what I saw of it. It's absolutely huge and I only saw one side by the museum..

Was traveling on vacation from Fort Worth Texas. After we explored the Denver Nature and Science Museum with granddaughters and great grandkids we went to the city park overlooking downtown Denver and the Rocky mountains. It's a beautiful park just outside of downtown Denver. Lots of green space, play ground, picnic tables, trails and water features. On a great weather day I recommend visiting.

Nice place to take a break from the busy city. Lots of parking and large trees. Beautiful views of the mountains and city skyline from the walking trails that encircle the lake and meander through flower gardens, monuments, and historical memorabilia. Very pleasant experience except the high school kids who sometimes speed recklessly through the park and do donuts on the grass.

Watched the sunset here after a long day of driving and hiking. It was the perfect place to go and relax. We were stunned to stumble upon the gardens and pavilion. Parking is impossible for non-locals, but worth the hunt.

The Museum of Science and Nature in City Park is truly amazing. So big and on New years, with limited time, we were only able to do the third floor, but we saw the ice age exhibit, the dinosaurs, and the Egyptian mummies. We were 7 in our party, and it was great and so informative. We will be back soon to see the 2nd and 1st floor with our years pass.

I love the trees here. I pick a try to sit by and do earthing based on the growth of the trees branches. The tree with branches that pattern my life, I choose. I particularly admire the tree bark patterns. I go here as am alternative to Wash park. Note on school days they lock the gates between 7 am and 9am. I've gotten locked in. The outer perimeter is about 3 miles. 9/5/22 - Today I almost did 7 miles in about 1.5 hours. At this park I can do 6 - 8 miles taking two laps around. But unlike Washington Park, the laps are not straight circular or consistently defined. This gives me flexibility to creatively design different routes. I hike here for length of time, not laps along. More dirt and gravel paths. More tree pics. Kevy

Such a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a sunny day. Perfect for walking, jogging, cycling, fishing, volleyball, picnicking, people/dog watching, and, on Summer Sunday evenings, live jazz.

Beautiful in autumn. So many things available to do... I was glad to find a fairly clean picnic table for a project. As a bonus, there were cranes nesting and shopping in the lake/pond for their dinner.

A Refreshing Oasis in the Heart of Denver 🌳🏞️ I recently visited City Park in Denver, conveniently behind the Science Museum. I chose to explore this urban oasis on a pleasant Wednesday morning and was delighted by the experience. Entry to the park is free. πŸ’¦ The park's well-maintained grounds were evident as I strolled through. The freshly cut grass and the serene lake with its captivating fountain were highlights of my visit. Seeing numerous parents enjoying quality time with their children added to the park's vibrant atmosphere. ☺️ One of the standout features of City Park is its abundant tree cover. These majestic trees provide ample shade during the scorching summer months, making it a perfect spot to escape the heat and enjoy fresh, oxygen-rich air, rejuvenating both body and mind. πŸƒ Overall, my visit was delightful. City Park offers many amenities, including a playground for kids, picnic tables for gatherings, a serene lake for relaxation, and plenty of benches to sit and soak in the surroundings. 🧺 Parking at City Park is stress-free, with ample space, ensuring your visit starts on the right foot. In conclusion, City Park in Denver is a gem of an exceptionally well-maintained place. It's an ideal spot for a day out with family, a peaceful solo stroll, or even a picnic with friends. I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a refreshing escape in the city's heart. 😊 ©️MillionDollarTravelling Hit like πŸ‘ if it was helpful.

City Park is my favorite park in Denver. The sunsets there are absolutely magical. You can get a great view of sunset or downtown, if you go up on the small hill near the Nature and Science museum.

Spent a cold morning at the Denver Museum. Handicap accessible with wheelchair available. Hopi dolls include traditional and modern ( Mickey Mouse). We were truly impressed with the gem and stone creations on display by Russian-American Vasily Konovalenco!

I enjoyed every second walking around this park with my friends. The other people there were nothing but kind. It's just a very nice park, honestly.

In my neighborhood, there is a lack of quality parks. I typically drive about 10 minutes to reach the city park, which is my preferred place for strolls with my canine companions. I can easily rack up my step count while enjoying the picturesque Lake views. Convenient parking is a definite advantage, although the scarcity of trash cans means you’ll have to keep hold of your doggy waste bags until you come across one.

Seemed great but was closed for construction May 12-13 2022. Not sure of the status when you read this. It's supposed to have the best views of the Rockies in Denver. So sorry we missed it. We ended up just driving into the mountains instead and it was awesome!

Nice park in downtown Denver. Could definitely use more signs for everything. There is a water fountain near the pavilion. You can rent the pavilion out for events

A beautiful urban park, where two clear, swiftly running rivers join. Miles of walking paths along both rivers. Close to Union Station, restaurants, and the coolest REI store.! A great place to walk, people watch, or relax to the sounds of cascading water.

Fareplay Colorado is a cute little quiet mountain town that inspired the South Park cartoon. Lot of things to do from fishing, shopping, dining, and tons of exploration

Was never at the park, went to the museum. Which was an amazing place. Worth the price of admission. Highly recommend checking this museum out. Have no idea why it says city park, except it was next to city park. Go early if you want to see everything. They require reservations

We had an amazing time at the natural history museum. My mother first my siblings and I, in the summer of 85. I had wanted to take my wife, since she moved to Kansas City. She was not disappointed. We look forward to going back.
