Just as a disclaimer, I also posted this to Trip Advisor. But I really need to get the word out about this hotel. Now that that’s cleared up, I can’t believe I am writing a review like this, but here I am. I traveled to Denver for a conference last week, and this hotel was one of the most convenient to the convention center. I also like to get my Hilton Honors points when I can, as do my coworkers. So we picked this place.

Upon arrival, check-in at the front desk was fine. The staff at the front desk were very kind—even after I wanted to switch rooms. Twice. The first room, the AC didn’t work and my mattress check turned up some suspicious stains. The next room, the mattress again looked stained. For the uninitiated, any kind of rust colored stain or black marks on a mattress means that there is likely bed bug activity in the room. The seams of the mattresses were also filthy.

I finally settled on a room. One of the mattresses in it seemed suspect, but I just made a point to keep my luggage away from it. Fast forward to my last day there. I saw two bed bugs crawl past me on a towel in the bathroom. I got a picture of one of them. I showed the front desk. I also sent the pictures to a pest control company, who IDed them as bed bugs.

Other things at the hotel that were not great: no one knew if breakfast was included or how to pay for it. There were not enough people on staff to monitor it.

I honestly really felt bad how understaffed this hotel was. Most of the staff there were trying their best. Except the GM. After I told him about the bug issue, he swore that in his three months there, they never had a bed bug issue. Supposedly I am going to be comped a night, but who knows. He also tried to persuade me to give the hotel a 10 out of 10 rating on the survey you get after checkout, as a condition of getting a night comped.

At any rate, my luggage is still out in my driveway sealed shut in large garbage bags. I’m too afraid to bring it inside. Please don’t stay here.

Most amenities have been removed. Waited at valet for 10 minutes before coming inside and being rudely and shortly told that they no longer do valet (might help to take the sign down then). From there it took her about 20 minutes to actually check me in, constantly remarking that their manager isn't here and she doesn't know how to do half this stuff. We had purchased breakfast vouchers for each day of our stay, only to be handed 2 (6 night stay). No longer have a pool/spa/business area, no longer have a bar/restaurant. Our room was shabby, with most of the electronics unplugged (wish we would have realized before we loaded our hiking food into the fridge). Guest service is kind of non-existent. The icing on the cake is the window blinds in our room don't even cover the window, so we are stoked to be waking up every day at sunrise. 🙃 It seems like nobody is running the show, or they're on their way towards closing down. Probably one of my worst experiences staying in downtown Denver. If I had another chance, I would've booked our hotel at any other of the downtown area Hilton's or Hyatt's, but unfortunately we only have one shot at a honeymoon and this hotel is most definitely the low point.

The location of this hotel is pretty convenient, but the hotel itself is pretty bare bones and feels kind of crusty. There is not free breakfast (we thought there was based on the site) nor are there really any frills. Our room’s desk was broken with wood hanging off and there were burn marks on it. The room had dust on some of the shelves and just felt like it hadn’t been properly cared for. The clock had the wrong time and required staff access to fix. The heat also didn’t work for two days for no real reason, which left our room freezing then far too hot. There is only one elevator to the parking garage, but you can’t select the elevator so you have to keep pressing buttons until the right one shows up, which is a waste of time. It’s a perfectly fine hotel and I guess you do get what you pay for but don’t expect any luxurious experience. It felt clean enough, the staff was nice, and the location was good but I’d probably pay a little extra to stay somewhere else next time. The beds were quite comfy and the showers were nice and hot and it’s a decent spot if you are spending as little time in the hotel as possible.

Quite possibly the worst hotel stay we have ever had. It won't let me leave a zero star review or I would. Parking is $42 dollars! There is no free breakfast like they advertise, we were told it starts at $16-$18 dollars a person to eat. We were told we had reserved a king bed room with a sofa sleeper and yet we had no sofa. There were clear blood stains on the floor of our room. The duvet cover was made of scratchy material and the worst part both my spouse and I woke up covered in rashes wanting to scratch our skin off from the inside of our bodies outward. When we checked out I called and asked for the names of the detergents used as we were both clearly having an allergic reaction to it. The woman said she would email us the information after getting it from housekeeping and yet it's been over 24 hours and still no email. The woman at the front desk was not a pleasant person when we checked in. We now know we can't stay at any of the Hilton hotels because we don't know what's causing our allergic reactions and it could be used at all of them. Here we thought we were staying at a nicer establishment when in all reality we could have paid way less to have such a horrible experience elsewhere. DON'T STAY HERE !!

The check-in was good and the room was good. The girl with the attitude at the bar needs to be retrained on customer service. When a group of us are walking in and her first words are "Can you shut the door? I closed it for a reason." All this while the rest of the party is walking in the door. I asked her if the rest of the party can come in first. She still had 30 minutes before closing and had a major bad attitude. Not likely to stay here again unless things are made right.

It is 3:02 am, I had just arrived in Denver at the hotel and had been driving all night. I arrived to check in 2 minutes after the selected 2-3 am check in time to a extremely rude desk receptionist. She informed us that there were no rooms available as they have all been booked. I stated we had a room reserved only to learn that there was a customer who had an urgent need earlier that day and that our room was given to them. We no longer had a place to stay and that the only way to get a refund was to go to booking . Com. I asked to speak with a manager (to which she told us was the 3rd time someone asked that day) and the desk receptionist informed me she “owned the Hilton franchise” and that no one is above her for me to speak with. She proceeded to be incredibly demeaning and disrespectful to me and my group. She even told everybody else they had to leave the hotel lobby as they didn’t have a reservation in their name and that she refused to speak to them. I called booking.com and they said it would be super easy to get a refund. All they need to do is call the hotel and get their approval and we’d be all set. They called the hotel and after being on hold for a long time they told us that we were unable to get the refund because the lady at the front desk who they were in contact with refused to approve this. Apparently we were not polite enough to get our money back. Not only were we unable to get access to the room we reserved, or a refund, we were also left without a place to sleep in denver with no money for a hotel. I was forced to sleep in a car with 4 people and luggage that we had been driving all night in. I feel as though Hilton has completely disregarded me as an individual, denying me of a basic need for shelter that I had paid for. This experience has tarnished the reputation of Hilton’s for me everywhere and they have lost a loyal customer.

Nice room with clean bed. The only things that were a bit of a let down was some mold around the edge of the bathtub and the card reader to the garage was a bit finicky. At first wasn't impressed with paying to park, but the secure parking garage with the elevator up to rooms was actually really great and gave me peace of mind. Elevators were clearly marked as just the one gave access to garage. I'm embarrassed to say that the room curtains were confusing; there's heavy drapes that only frame the window with a sheer curtain for privacy, but we did discover the blackout curtains behind the sheer one on our second night (they're just tucked away on either side of window, so they are easy to miss, but definitely there). Room had its own thermostat which kept us nice and cool. We do wish the pool/spa was still in service, but we survived without it. It was great to have a restaurant/bar/coffee shop on site (good food, cocktails and coffee); To be a bit more frugal we also visited the Target on 16th to fulfill most of our needs. All in all it was a nice stay and will likely book again when visiting Denver.

Needed a room while work was being done in my apartment. Lenna, the desk clerk, was so kind and understanding. Her professionalism and warmth was truly welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient to restaurants/bars, Target, and other shops, but I highly recommend this hotel on the customer service and cleanliness alone.

Room was good, check in was swift and the desk attendant was very helpful. Pool was closed though. Asked another attendant for recommendations for food in the area. She didn't seem to know much and was slightly dismissive. Overall, was not a bad stay for the price

Please let me start out this hotel has got everything going on great front desk staff. When we checked in our Diamond Status was noted an we got a huge corner suite overlooking 14th Street. The breakfast was amazing unlike what other guest say. H.K knocked softly an cleaned our room. TV & AC both worked amazing. No need to changed a thing. Kevin & Leslie

A pretty good hotel experience. The rooms were good (and notably very clean) with comfy beds. The location is excellent, and is the main reason we picked this location. Definitely skip the hot breakfast unless you like paying $20 for crunchy, cold, dry, questionable food that is lower quality than the average free hotel breakfast. The cold food was alright though, if you don’t mind paying $10 for fruit and yogurt. We had multiple people in our party and booked 3 rooms, and check in went very smoothly. My only room complaint is that the shower curtain didn’t seem to keep water in the tub, so we had to mop the floor with extra towels every time.

We flew in from Virginia and stayed two nights 12/15-12/17. Jayden checked us in and she was a GEM so sweet and gave us plenty of options on places to go. The room was sparkling clean. I always bring Clorox wipes to wipe things down. Not a speck of dirt. The bed was like a cloud to sleep on so comfortable. This location is walkable to Larimer Square, 16th St mall, the Denver Pavilion & the convention center are right across the street! 5 minutes from the Five Points neighborhood. Don't hesitate to book this location. P.S.-We were in room 1210. Here are the views.

Rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious! Chris had very good customer service, hospitable and very professional. Our stay was amazing because of him. Thank you Chris!

Horrible service! The evening staff needs a 101 in hospitality. Outdated furniture and smelly room. Moths!!! Called the front desk and there was no apology or attempt to assist with the removal of the pest. A colleague had one in her room the night prior. Clearly an infestation needs to be managed. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra somewhere where the people actually care.

A solidly adequate hotel, but short of excellent for a number of reasons. My complaints: the coffee maker in the room never worked. No toothpaste in the rooms, and the convenience store at reception poorly stocked with many things absent. Towels a little discoloured. Staff seem like they are all new, since they all seemed to need help with basic procedures like checking in and out, or buying bottled water. Positives: comfortable beds, secure facilities, good location for seeing 16th Street mall.

My stay for my conference was excellent. I had everything that I needed here. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I want to give an extra shout out to Renisha who brought my room service and empathized with me for working on a late night payroll. Thank you to Renisha and everyone who was so helpful this week!

Thank you to Malia for making our stay wonderful! Great customer service, and a smile that will brighten your day! We need more people like her in the hospitality industry! Kudos to you :)

Great location. We did a lot of walking. Clean hotel. Comfortable bed and everything worked except for the coffee maker. Very nice and helpful front desk. The breakfast buffet was cold. Fake eggs. They forgot to turn on the warmers then upcharged $8 per person that wasn’t mentioned when we asked what was included for Hilton Honors. The desk clerk took care of the extra charge.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Lovely room and bathroom: modern & clean. I loved my shower with glass door and extra big shower head. The pool definitely gave me spa vibes with its upscale seating and view of the city. The pool area was stocked with plenty of towels, and every chair had a clean/nicely rolled towel ready to go. The bathrooms in the lobby are gorgeous and upscale. We attended a baseball game, and this hotel was conveniently located close to Coors Field. We were able to walk to the game. Housekeeping does not clean your room every day, but we called them and asked them to take out our trash and bring us fresh towels. They were quick at fulfilling our request. Although this hotel is beautiful, we decided to leave two days early because of the mandatory valet parking at $50/day and the fact that that breakfast isn’t included in the price.

The hotel is nice and the rooms are nice, but I had trouble getting phone calls to the front desk, operator, or restaurant answered. Sometimes I was on hold for ages. Sometimes no one ever answered at all. Rooms on floors 9-12 with room numbers ending in 2,4,6,8,10,12, etc. are "mountain view" rooms. Pic included. The view is best in the morning.

Overall good. Room was clean. A couple things: Fire alarm went off during night and the hotel evacuated but I slept through it so be careful. It only rings in the hall so hard to hear. Also, forgot an important item in my room and when I asked the hotel to look for it I was referred to a website for lost and found. Not a lot of help or urgency by the hotel.

The room was so spacious and clean and the location was absolutely perfect and close to everything downtown. The employee at the desk was so friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked in the door. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel when the weather warms up

After reading the reviews about this hotel, I was very scared. The first thing I did after checking in from a very friendly front desk employee was check for bedbugs after reading the other reviews. It was so clean the mattress looked brand. New sheets were nice and clean. The hotel was clean, it was so nice for the price and the convenient location to the convention center. I would definitely stay here again.

We were told breakfast was free at the desk then got charged $40 for a banana and toast. Im assuming to pay for the water damage in room 313s bathroom. Location is great and the room was clean outside of the bathroom. Employees were really nice. Ill probably go somewhere else next time I have to stay downtown because I cant get over paying $40 for a banana after already over paying for a room and parking.

I was a bit leary to stay here after all of the bad reviews, but it was a great experience. We went for the parade of lights and we could literally walk out the front door of the hotel and be on the parade route. Everyone was more than helpful and the rooms were clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Our experience was far less than pleasant. Let's start with the $42 per night for parking in their own garage. No valet available. The garage didn't seem to be well marked as to which floor you are on. Granted we stayed during one of the worst freezes in years but...we had to go through 4 different rooms before we found one that the heat actually worked in. One room was 54 degrees and another 40 degrees. The third had the heater go out within a half hour of being in the room. The hotel was very dated and run-down. There were parts that had a very dingy feel to them. The lobby was filthy and freezing cold. The lobby restaurant was not open during our stay. We had intended to eat breakfast there. Everything seemed to cost money there in addition to the cost of the room. I have stayed at far cheaper hotels that were cleaner and offered more with just the room rate. Wi-Fi was available but you had to pay extra for any speed to it. This hotel has no business calling itself a Hilton.

Pretty solid location, but really nothing too special. Whole hotel feels a bit dingy in general. Lots of random little things were just annoying, such as only one of the three elevators accessing the parking garage, but having no way to specifically call that elevator. Parking garage is also not easy to get into if you drive a manual as you have to stop midway up a pretty steep grade in order to swipe your keycard. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, but honestly would probably not stay here again.

Francisco and Ryan made my stay worth every minute. Absolutely exceptional customer service. Francisco was extremely polite, professional, and went out of his way to help me with some minor issues in my room. Ryan has a very friendly personality and a great sense of humor. Her professionalism is outstanding. What a breath of fresh air to have great customer service. I will be back to this hotel and highly recommend it to everyone, simply because of Francisco and Ryan. Thank you both!

The hotel is a great location. A bit of a walk if you’re coming off the train from union station, but none the less it was a great location! The bed itself on the other hand was EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE. With the amount of money spent on the hotel room and everything you’d expect to have a nice bed. It’s not great if you have to sleep on it multiple nights. And the TV needs an update to at least be able to play Netflix or something. But overall the stay there was great and the staff were really welcoming! :)

Bathroom door did not shut. Sink dripped constantly. Shower did not drain. Keurig was broken. HORRIBLE room. Then someone was smoking in their room so the fire alarms went off at 1:45am. Had to evacuate the building for 45 minutes in the middle of the night. Absolutely horrible experience.

Kevin and his staff were amazing!!!!! We had 35 guests total and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Check in was efficient and if we had any issues they we quick to make it more than right. They took the time to know our circumstances and were very responsive and polite. I highly recommend .

Disappointed. With a load of hotels in the Downtown Denver area I would recommend not staying here. When we return, we will stay elsewhere as well. Keys never worked for room, key never worked for garage, elevator for garage was broken so had to carry luggage upstairs. Got double charged for parking ($42.00 a day per vehicle). Still no refund. Ice machine only on two floors of 12 floor hotel. Also, the pool is permanently closed at this location. Just a run-down version of a Hilton. I honestly can't believe Hilton puts their name on this location. As a Hilton Honors member this location was honestly terrible.
