We checked into our room and thought the turntable and records were a fun amenity. However, the turntable did not work...someone came to pick it up but did not leave a replacement. Also, the gear locker was a nice feature; however, after asking the front desk for access, no one ever showed up to unlock and let us in. Unfortunately there wasn't much availability for use of the rooftop pool, as there were a large group of drunk women celebrating a birthday, who essentially took over the pool. It was a very overpriced stay for not having the ability to enjoy the amenities.

I stayed there last month for a mini honeymoon. We were really disappointed with the customer service and lack of communication. Pro: the hotel is really beautiful. It’s decorated impeccably and has some great amenities including the gear garage and free coffee. Con: the service was not great. Absolutely not what we would expect for boutique hotel. We felt like we were inconveniencing when we had a question. We were asked if we were checking out consistently in our 4 day stay. We waisted 15 minutes to get a initial service at Quality Italian. I contacted they hotel 3 Times about a pricing issue without response. Friendliness of most of the staff (not all) was just not great. I didn’t feel welcomed.

I've stayed in this hotel with capital one premier collection. Stuff upgrades my room, and the service was exceptional. However, when I checked out, my breakfast was not covered with Premier program benefits (I had 2 breakfast free daily). I pointed it to the front desk, but they couldn't fix that problem. It's not a big issue, but I hope management will take a close look at this type of problem. That's why I take 1 star off. Overall, it was a very good place to stay.

The front desk is a coffee bar with espresso and lattes upon request. In the morning, there are complementary, fresh baked blueberry, pumpkin, or banana muffins available for guests of the hotel. There is a cozy meeting area just off of the lobby with couches and a fireplace. There is a rooftop pool and hot tub for guests and a small ice skating rink, as well. A daily happy hour is available for hotel guests in the lobby. There is wine and local beer available from 2 PM until 5 PM. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The service is excellent and available.

This hotel has a lot going for it, friendly and responsive staff, good location, modern and fun decor. Unfortunately their mattresses are just terrible. Like sleeping on a hot lumpy pillow with a big crater in the middle. The worst I’ve ever slept on in any hotel—who manufactured these awful things? Front desk said all of their mattresses are the same quality and age (yikes) but we moved into another room and paid for an upgrade hoping for improvement. Just as bad. My husband and I tossed and turned all night, trying to avoid the inevitable backache in the morning and keep cool despite the AC blasting noisily directly across the bed. If a hotel doesn’t provide a comfortable bed, nothing else matters. Big fail, and at a high price.

Rooms are beautiful and beautifully decorated, but that is clearly where the "wow" factor stops. The subpar service from the management team constantly left much to be desired. Meeting/event planners, beware, please! When I initially booked, I brushed off the lack of communication because I felt the property was beautiful and flowed well as it was a great place for my event. I wish I would have terminated then as I am OVER 60 days post-event and without a resolution. There have been several communication breaks between their staff and laymen in addition to the lack of responsiveness from the planner and salesperson that I deem completely unacceptable. I was then handed off to the Director of Catering (the original planner was on Paternity leave), which I found to be the most unhelpful, disrespectful, and condescending professional I had encountered. As a black woman, I couldn't help but wonder if it was a race thing that would give a person the audacity to speak to another professional or even human in this fashion. This trend only escalated further as I still don't have my issues resolved. Mind you, I come from this industry and quite frankly, I have done their jobs and have several friends still operating in the industry at senior leadership/management levels. The only individual solution-oriented that communicated with respect was the Director of Operations, Shannon. I wish I could advise you on what to look out for in order to make your experience better but I am at a loss for words there from an event perspective. Go to Hotel Clio. Do better, Halcyon Perhaps your hires weren't the best culture fit.

The hotel was really good. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Also they had allot of stuff for rent downstairs for rent like bicycles and tennis rackets and more.. the service is really nice and they always there for help. Had a good time there, on my bucket list. Would come back. I recommend this hotel

We expected more from this high-priced hotel! It was supposed to be a special getaway, just mediocre at best... Furniture beat up, lighting hanging of the walls, terrace door didn't lock, etc. No taxes or amenities charges explained on website, even charged a 2% credit card recovery fee! Staff was great! but didn't make up for a total of 30% amenity fees and taxes not explained anywhere.

The Team was so welcoming and ensured that we had a great experience. The energy when you walk in is so noticeable in a positive way. My favorite part is the Gear Garage that they offer plus the food. We will definitely be back to visit Halcyon soon. Thanks for an amazing stay!

The Halcyon Hotel Cherry Creek is an exceptional retreat for any event, but especially for New Year's Eve. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were greeted with outstanding service. Meagan at the front desk made check-in a breeze and was incredibly accommodating, providing helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Our experience at Local Jones Restaurant (in-house) was equally remarkable. Brandon, our server, went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was enjoyable and memorable. His knowledge of the food and drink menu and friendly demeanor added to the overall ambiance. The valet service, led by Alejandro, was top-notch. It was clear that the staff takes great pride in providing exceptional service, and the valet service was no exception. It made navigating the area stress-free and convenient. The room itself was a haven of comfort. The bed was plush and inviting, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and well-appointed, and the high-flow water in the shower was a luxurious experience. It was a perfect way to unwind after a night of ringing in the new year. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to high-quality shopping, food, and beverage establishments is a definite plus. The ease of access to these amenities made our stay even more enjoyable, allowing us to explore the best that Cherry Creek has to offer without any hassle. Overall, our stay at the Halcyon Hotel Cherry Creek was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of outstanding service, luxurious accommodations, and convenient location make it a standout choice for anyone visiting the area. Can't wait for our next stay!!!

This hotel has a skating rink on their rooftop for the winter... The Halcyon is situated in the heart of Denver’s Cherry Creek North neighborhood with a winter wonderland waiting for guests - Halcyon on Ice. We kicked off the holiday season with a staycation here & had a wonderful time. We arrived at Halcyon and checked in. The front desk staff was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed before heading up to our room (they even gave our dog Forbes a homemade treat, which he loved). Halcyon is a pet-friendly hotel. We were in a Junior Suite room - the room was smooth and contemporary with all the necessary amenities you would expect from a luxury hotel. There was a Juliet balcony with views of the Cherry Creek neighborhood, large spaces and lots of light. In-room amenities featured Nespresso brewing systems, Jonathan Adler bath products, 100% cotton sheets, bathrobes, Smart TV programming and Wi-Fi. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. The Jonathan Adler bath products added a chic touch to the bathroom. Once we were settled in our hotel room, we headed up to the rooftop to meet our friends at Halcyon on Ice. The roof was decked out in Christmas lights, garland & holiday decor. We each grabbed a pair of ice skates and did some laps on the rink. For holiday inspired cocktails we enjoyed Mexican Hot Chocolate made with chocolate, cinnamon, chili powder, caramel, Dulce de leche, whiskey & mezcal. The winter cabana was cozy and sat all four of us comfortably (each cabana can fit 6). Our cabana experience included 3-hours of rink access, ice skates, hand warmers, and hot cocoa. There was a space heater in each cabana, but it’s still advised to wear warm clothes (it is winter in CO after all). We enjoyed dinner in the cabana - for shareable bites we had the Swedish Meatballs, Sourdough Pretzel & LJ Burger. General Manager, Peter and rooftop staff took great care of us in our cabana while we dined. The LJ Burger was a 1/2-pound patty, topped with bacon, smoked cheddar, onion, pickles, burger sauce, and served on a fluffy potato bun. The Sourdough Pretzel was a big hit and was made with warm sourdough and served alongside hatch chile cheese dipping as well as whole grain mustard. Now that's a winter experience you can’t get anywhere else! Tickets to Halcyon on Ice are $30 per person and include a pair of rental skates. The Winterized Cabanas can be reserved in advance for a $250 cabana fee with a $100 food and beverage minimum at the time of reservation.

One of my favorite hotels in the area. The only down side is the valet could be a bit more engaged and customer focused but the hotel staff is great. The restaurant also has good options and the rooms are clean and spacious. The gym has everything you need and the balcony is an added bonus for a nice day. The rooftop has a good vibe as well.

I left an item in my refrigerator that I am 200% positive I left. They claim they can’t find it but like I said, it was in the fridge. Wonderful hotel all around except for lying about my item not being there for me to come back and pickup. It’s not okay.

First of all Rare bird blew me away. 5 stars on service and drinks. The hotel was absolutely amazing. Went for my 2nd wedding anniversary and they made sure to go above and beyond. They left some amenities for the special occasion in the room with an ice cold bottle of champagne.

I am enjoying this hotel. It's got good rooms, a cheeky sense of humor with welcome mats and cool things like a skating rink this winter on the roof. Only complaint is I travel a lot for work and the room basically has no work surfaces (like a small desk and a chair). Otherwise quite nice.

The hotel was nice enough but had a really bad experience with an assistant manager who lied to us. We booked the room at the last minute ( a few hours before we arrived ). When we arrived we discovered that the room was accidentally booked for two nights instead of one. When I pointed this out the asst manager told me that they could not do anything about it and that I would have to go through American Express. So we spent about an hour on phone waiting for Amex and as usual they were very good to their customer once we reached them . They said they would be happy to cancel the extra night if the Halycon agreed. Amex called the same asst manager and she told them that the hotel would not agree and Amex reported that back to us .. THEN the run around really began. When we got back from dinner the asst manager saw us coming and handed us off to a desk clerk who was very nice and tried to be helpful. We insisted on speaking with her At first the asst manager tried to deflect that she ever spoke with Amex but finally conceded that she did and told them “no” because of a hotel “policy” that she could not and would not show me . I asked her why she lied to me initially and had us waste our time on the phone with Amex. The best she could come up with was that she never heard of Amex making such an accommodation and when they did she decided to enforce a one night “ penalty” policy. I asked her to make it right (if nothing else for wasting our time ) and she refused to do anything . Was politely arrogant. Horrible experience. Will be going back to the Clio in the future. Much more professional and better run. Mistakes get made but lying about them and giving a customer the runaround is completely unacceptable

This hotel is amazing! The trait aroma is intoxicating and their bar and restaurant serve excellent food in a posh setting. There are not many rooms with views as it backs up to the Moxy, but that will not deter me from staying again. I LOVE the glass water bottles, there is a complimentary coffee/muffin bar and coffee flows 24 hours a day!

Gem in Denver! Shout out to Kimberly and the crew at the front desk/kitchen counter! Awesome service! Wonderful amenities. We came to Colorado to see the Rocky Mountains for our family vacation.. On the last day before our flight we chose The Halcyon to see a bit of Denver. They offered wonderful amenities - My husband reserved a Vespa, and my daughter and I reserved bicycles (helmets & locks were provided as well). It was a breeze to make the reservations. The resort fee covers the bikes, plus free espresso drinks, & wine/beer at the counters. To top it off, the Halcyon also gives its patrons tickets to the amazing Botanical Gardens of Denver! We rode our bikes there and thoroughly enjoyed the gardens! After we came back, we got to relax at the rooftop pool with views of the Rocky mountains in the distance. The room was beautifully appointed- with a record player and v comfy beds! The bathroom with white/grey herringbone marble tile in the shower accessorized with gold hardware was a modern yet classy aesthetic. Great soaps/lotions as well. The whole hotel had character! Earth friendly with refillable water bottles & fresh fruits on every floor. Hospitality on point! I would definitely recommend the Halcyon to family & friends. I'm actually also going to look up their sister property Cliff House in Maine.

Location, great. Staff, wonderful, especially Tommy at the valet! It advertised “fresh pastries and fresh fruit” they are supposed to be located on every floor. Our floor only got oranges, and that was only on one day of our stay. The fruit was just apples and oranges. The pastries are just muffins in a bag. No assortment that we saw. The free coffee and tea was fantastic though. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms, eh. Tv didn’t work properly and they were TINY. The rooftop pool was cool, and staff friendly there as well. Furniture was beat up as well. Overall it was just meh, didn’t have a 4 star feel.

Fantastic day at the Halcyon! Perfect views, perfect experience! Two stand out employees were Francisco and Kimberly. Francisco made us right at home at the pool and made our time so comfortable and luxurious. On our way out Kimberly served us perfect coffee and left us with a warm goodbye.

Great location, amazing rooftop pool and outrageously cool complimentary amenities including: cappuccinos, motor scooters, cameras, bicycles, skateboards, and free access to the botanical gardens as well as workout classes and more. Will definitely be back! The staff was also very helpful and friendly. The food was good too!

This is a hotel with nice rooms and a great restaurant. However the service isn’t on par with others in the area. Let me explain… USB plugs don’t work in the rooms. The rooftop bar and pool seem partly staffed, with staff disappearing for 20 minutes, with many patrons around. (Not to blame the staff: they were hard working and affable but seemed under supported.) The check-in staff failed to make eye contact with their own customers. Daily staff seem nice. It seems that management is unaware, or hires don’t want to be in a customer service role. Still, a very comfortable place to sleep and great location near Cherry Creek.

It’s a charming and cozy hotel. Very tastefully decorated and in the perfect location, Cherry Creek is my favorite area in Denver. The staff was polite, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. As we had our little dog with us we didn’t go to the pool or bar, but all and all, it was a pleasant stay and we enjoyed the hotel very much.

The hotel is beautiful but poorly maintained. The coffee maker and record player in our room did not work. There was food on the floor by the bed that was not cleaned up before our stay. Literally the best part of this hotel was the bear in the elevator so my hubby could yell "Watch out a bear" but he can do that anywhere to we don't need to overpay for that experience. Lastly when my hubby posted his honest review he was harassed by the staff who never bothered to care when we told them about the problems with our room. We won't be coming back. Holiday Inn is cheaper and nicer. ****Update***** Halcyon keeps claiming that they have tried to contact us and we have never replied. This is not true. My husband did email them. They have all of our contact information as we stayed there. We gave them a chance to make things right when we told of the problems during our stay. They chose not to.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Halcyon in Denver for a weekend away and had an amazing experience. I don’t normally take time to write reviews, but I can’t say enough great things about our stay. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were entering a cozy, but elegant home. It was beautifully decorated for the holiday and the staff were all incredibly welcoming, both of which added to the overall personal feel of the hotel. Some of my favorite things were the never-ending amenities. Complimentary coffee, tea, beer, wine & bubbles at the lounge along with beautiful coffee table books to browse while relaxing in front of the fire… Heaven! Since it’s in the heart of downtown Cherry Creek, we had a lovely time walking around, enjoying the nearby coffee shops & window-shopping. The rooms had so many thoughtful touches including the record player, Nespresso machine, & delicious biscuits. The bed and pillows were also incredibly comfortable. The hotel also got us a reservation at one of the city’s best speakeasy bars (located under the hotel) where we enjoyed exquisite craft cocktails. There were so many other things we didn’t have enough time for like the hot tub, rooftop bar, Denver Botanic Gardens pass, and we are definitely coming back to take advantage of their Gear Garage! Overall, we had an unforgettable experience at the Halcyon and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury hotel with a personal feel.

Everything about the Halcyon is outstanding: service, food, decor, staff and amenities. The overall vibe is unique, inviting and comfortable. The staff is amazing -- all of them: front desk, valet, restaurant staff. Everyone is so kind, personal and truly wants your stay to be enjoyable. This is a one of a kind hotel that truly is a home away from home.

This is the best hotel I've stayed at in forever. EVERY detail was thought of. The decor is amazing, happy hour, a cozy living room, and wonderful food. I cannot say enough. Every floor has free bottled water, fresh fruit, and the daily newspaper as soon as you walk off the elevator. We had about 10 people staying and we all agreed we'd be back 100%. (p.s. we're well-traveled professionals!)

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location, and the amenities are very nice. However, the rooms weren't up to the standard I would expect for a hotel of this price. We stayed for a couple of days, two rooms, for a staycation. My room was dusty, had the world's cheapest hair dryer, had only very warped and scratched records for the record player (I tried them all), and the floor was very dirty - there was grit on my feet after walking without shoes. The other room was worse. There was no hair dryer at all, a ripped bath towel, a large yellow stain on the comforter, and solidified half and half for the coffee. The record player was broken so badly you could see wires coming out of it. Both rooms had a magnifying mirror but neither had the cord required for them to light up. We reported the problems and most were corrected, except the record player (or the mirrors, as I forgot to mention them). They did give me a $100 credit, but it seems to me that clean rooms with basic amenities should be a given in any decent hotel.

We just returned from a wedding weekend at the Halcyon in Cherry Creek, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This unique boutique hotel checks all the boxes - fun vibe, spacious guest rooms, amazing rooftop pool & bar, complimentary coffee and pastries each morning, happy hour in the eventing, superb restaurants and bars, and a team that goes above and beyond! We look forward to returning the next time we're in Denver.

First stay at Halcyon hotel, but definitely won’t be my last. The common area interiors far exceed any of the larger chains nearby, and the rooms are more spacious. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Much better option - especially for a multi-day stay - than any of the other hotels in Cherry Creek.
