This
hotel
has
a
skating
rink
on
their
rooftop
for
the
winter...
The
Halcyon
is
situated
in
the
heart
of
Denver’s
Cherry
Creek
North
neighborhood
with
a
winter
wonderland
waiting
for
guests
-
Halcyon
on
Ice.
We
kicked
off
the
holiday
season
with
a
staycation
here
&
had
a
wonderful
time.
We
arrived
at
Halcyon
and
checked
in.
The
front
desk
staff
was
lovely
and
made
sure
we
had
everything
we
needed
before
heading
up
to
our
room
(they
even
gave
our
dog
Forbes
a
homemade
treat,
which
he
loved).
Halcyon
is
a
pet-friendly
hotel.
We
were
in
a
Junior
Suite
room
-
the
room
was
smooth
and
contemporary
with
all
the
necessary
amenities
you
would
expect
from
a
luxury
hotel.
There
was
a
Juliet
balcony
with
views
of
the
Cherry
Creek
neighborhood,
large
spaces
and
lots
of
light.
In-room
amenities
featured
Nespresso
brewing
systems,
Jonathan
Adler
bath
products,
100%
cotton
sheets,
bathrobes,
Smart
TV
programming
and
Wi-Fi.
The
bed
was
very
comfortable
and
we
slept
really
well.
The
Jonathan
Adler
bath
products
added
a
chic
touch
to
the
bathroom.
Once
we
were
settled
in
our
hotel
room,
we
headed
up
to
the
rooftop
to
meet
our
friends
at
Halcyon
on
Ice.
The
roof
was
decked
out
in
Christmas
lights,
garland
&
holiday
decor.
We
each
grabbed
a
pair
of
ice
skates
and
did
some
laps
on
the
rink.
For
holiday
inspired
cocktails
we
enjoyed
Mexican
Hot
Chocolate
made
with
chocolate,
cinnamon,
chili
powder,
caramel,
Dulce
de
leche,
whiskey
&
mezcal.
The
winter
cabana
was
cozy
and
sat
all
four
of
us
comfortably
(each
cabana
can
fit
6).
Our
cabana
experience
included
3-hours
of
rink
access,
ice
skates,
hand
warmers,
and
hot
cocoa.
There
was
a
space
heater
in
each
cabana,
but
it’s
still
advised
to
wear
warm
clothes
(it
is
winter
in
CO
after
all).
We
enjoyed
dinner
in
the
cabana
-
for
shareable
bites
we
had
the
Swedish
Meatballs,
Sourdough
Pretzel
&
LJ
Burger.
General
Manager,
Peter
and
rooftop
staff
took
great
care
of
us
in
our
cabana
while
we
dined.
The
LJ
Burger
was
a
1/2-pound
patty,
topped
with
bacon,
smoked
cheddar,
onion,
pickles,
burger
sauce,
and
served
on
a
fluffy
potato
bun.
The
Sourdough
Pretzel
was
a
big
hit
and
was
made
with
warm
sourdough
and
served
alongside
hatch
chile
cheese
dipping
as
well
as
whole
grain
mustard.
Now
that's
a
winter
experience
you
can’t
get
anywhere
else!
Tickets
to
Halcyon
on
Ice

$30
per
person
and
include
a
pair
of
rental
skates.
The
Winterized
Cabanas
can
be
reserved
in
advance
for
a
$250
cabana
fee
with
a
$100
food
and
beverage
minimum
at
the
time
of
