A nice hotel with a fun unique theme throughout. The facility is dated - no elevators - but they've done the best possible keeping it up to date. The date was friendly and mostly very helpful. The breakfast was alright... Food was standard hotel fair, but it was dishes up for us. Seemed odd, but it worked fine. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Hot tub was amazing even in winter. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not the best smelling place but worth the money in convenience to food and things to do. Would stay there again.

Amazing hot tub! Clean, perfect temp and strong jets. The breakfast was also very good. The hotel and grounds were well maintained, but the room itself was just ok. The carpet had a few stains and the bed was very “springy”. It was comfortable enough however, I slept well. Overall I was very satisfied, especially for the price.

Very quiet and cute place. The dinosaur theme definitely makes it worth staying once, and I read they even have a small class to teach about dinosaurs (or something). Complimentary breakfast is good and has enough options to satisfy most people (assuming you're not picky!). They also have an outdoor pool, but we visited during a winterstorm so not quite the best time for us to try. Rooms were super clean, and we actually liked that housekeeping didn't come by often. Only thing keeping me from giving the rooms a five stars is the bathroom wasn't working correctly, but we attributed that to the winter storm. Additionally, the location isn't too bad either as you're in walking distance of a few local places and a Red Robin. Overall, I'd stay here again if I had the chance!

Great pool and hot tub and excellent service. The room was small, dirty, particularly the carpeting, the bathrooms were old and well used (but clean), the TV was old and small and had lines going through it. Breakfast was awesome and the maintenance guy was wonderful!

This hotel has exceeded my expectations! They go above and beyond what is expected and I would highly recommend you choose this hotel if you are in the area. They have a dinosaur themed lobby with real bones! If you are curious there's a expert who comes in occasionally in the morning that will give talks about the bones and dinosaurs. The continental breakfast is out of this world. They have waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage and much more that will make you wake up early even if you didn't have too. A lot of hotels have started requesting a 24 hour notice for room service. Not this one, they offer room service everyday without having to request it which I prefer. The room and shower are good and the rooms come with a desk and office chair if you need somewhere to set up a laptop. I hope more hotels can be inspired to have as much personality as this one.

I was unfortunate to only get to stay one night at the end of April 2022. I chose this hotel from most of the pictures I saw, and thought my 7 yo son would be impressed with all the dinosaur displays. I wish I was able to stay longer, but we had to go home. We stayed a little longer in a hotel in Colorado Springs because that was closer to our family for their wedding. That hotel in Colorado Springs was pretty good, and had good breakfast, however that hotel didn't have the very attractive, sweet, and attentive server at the morning breakfast here. She would help out and make your plate with sausage or bacon, and then she would ask the chefs to cook eggs to order. I was so impressed! During this time where we don't want to get sick, so we shy away from each other, the staff here go way out of their way! The hotel itself was very clean inside and out, and the room we stayed in was clean and we'll kept. Some hotels you go to the room will have something that's not mounted on the wall correctly or broken/cracked tiles. Just normal wear and tear, but it seems the maintenance persons here are either doing their jobs or they have just remodeled again. They have an outside heated pool and hot tub. We had to catch a flight so we weren't able to get in the pool, but I checked it out, and just like the rest of this hotel, it was clean and we'll kept too. I highly recommend this hotel for the kids or the kids at heart. Very interesting and nice specimens to look at, and some that are from very famous museums too. You will also have a clean room and bed to sleep in and a hearty breakfast to eat that's fresh and hot, and not just sitting there getting cold.

Very unique dinosaur themed hotel! Older property, but updated and well maintained overall, with some wear and tear. The pool was heated and quite nice. The breakfast was outstanding, with hot options (eggs, sausage/bacon/ham, waffles) and cereal, toast, bagels and the like. Much better than average in quality, always fresh. The dinosaur artifacts both appeal to kids, but are professionally done and appealing to adults also. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel with super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a little dated but well kept and has a neat archeology/dinosaur theme. The continental breakfast is great! In addition to the standard fare, they would make little biscuits with eggs, cheese and hash browns, but they weren't on the menu, you had to ask for them.

Booked a 4 night stay and was mostly happy with the hotel. Cons: Would have liked for there to be better blankets on the beds, they were very thin and light, felt like just a sheet. Shower wasn’t hot enough. Pool for some reason was very hot and being heated during the day even though it was sunny and 80+ degrees out. Pros: Clean room, mini fridge kept our beer cold. Nice view of the pool from our room. Lots of options for continental breakfast. Love the dinosaur theme and decor.

Beds are very un comfortable. Pretty sure I got a better mattress off of Craig's list in college. Pool area and got tub are nice. The sink is outside of the restroom? On carpet?.....and no bath tub. So showers only for the kids.

We spent 4 nights here while taking in 2 concerts at Red Rocks and exploring the Estes Park area. The location was perfect with plenty of great food options nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable with thoughtful touches. The staff was amazing and even accommodated an early checkin for us. The pool was super clean and large enough to accommodate many people. And then there’s the breakfast. Best hotel breakfast hands down! Not only did they offer eggs, hash browns, sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy and waffles, they make and serve them to order with a smile. If I had to say one negative thing, it would be that the lights in the bathroom were a bit dim. Nothing unusual for a hotel. If you have a dinosaur lover in your family then this is the place for you.

What a great find in Lakewood! We were back in town to finalize the sale of our home and final move. This location was very convenient for us. We were so surprised how great everything was! The room was impeccably clean and nicely appointed with a microwave and fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect for my tall husband. The staff was very friendly and responsive. We cant speak to the breakfast as we didn’t eat during our stay. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in town!

Stayed here while in Colorado for a friend’s wedding and this hotel provided a great home base between wedding events. Beds were comfy and the mini fridge and microwave really came in handy during our multi-night stay. If you’re particular about your pillow size, you might want to bring your own as these are small and square(?). My only other observation was that the breakfast setup is a bit odd. Unlike most hotels with continental breakfasts, hot items were not self-serve and guests had to ask staff for items, which seemed kinda weird, especially because some of the food was not particularly warm (even at 7:30 am). Overall, a nice stay with some … eccentricities.

We chose this hotel because it was near red rocks amphitheatre and decently priced. Quiet location, not much for bars or restaurants within walking distance. Room needed some updates and could have been cleaner, but it was ok. Breakfast was good, pool and hot tub looked nice.

A great place for families and travelers wanting a low-key lodging experience with a focus on dinosaur and paleontology theme. Tasteful and not campy. A great pool in the center of the place. Just 10 minutes from the Dinosaur Ridge and Res Rocks. Two must see attractions.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our room was cozy, comfortable, and clean. My daughter definitely enjoyed herself. The theme of the hotel I would recommend to any person with a dinosaur loving kids. You could find artifacts and murals all over the building. Really cute!! The breakfast area was so adorable all decorated for Christmas 🎄. It was clean and the food options where pretty decent. The omelet I had was blan, but they had a pork chili Verde available so I ate it with that, and it made all the difference in the world.

Great value and good service. Staff were polite. Special shout out to Paul the maintenance/do it all guy. Seemed to always be around, very friendly and helpful. As a business owner myself I know thats hard to find people with that work ethic these days. Gave him my personal praise and hope his owner sees this. All in all with the shortage of good workers and everyone taking on more responsibilities to cover, I hope everyone can find some patience and appreciation. Good motel, and location to activities and recreation. Kids loved the outdoor heated pool.

The room was clean, neat, and relaxing. I had a good rest after driving through a winter storm. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel and have no remarks. I did have a problem with the front desk: the manager was at the counter when I checked in and was unable to enter in a Rewards gift card earned through a promotion (the manager stated they did not know how to enter the gift card even though directions for the front desk are on the gift card). This is the second time I've tried to use this BW Rewards gift card and was met with attitude and ignorance.

Good luck getting a room! I booked in September and arrived on check in day in October and was told my room was unavailable due to overbooking!!! What? Why would you give away a room that was reserved? What’s the purpose of having a reservation? Isn’t it to hold the room for your arrival??? I feel like I’m living in an episode of Seinfeld! They offered me a lesser room without a price adjustment. Don’t book this hotel if you really need a place to stay.

While I was in the breakfast room waiting for the attendant to prepare me a plate, he didnt realize I was standing behind him, and I saw him picking out pieces of breakfast potatoes with his bare hands out of the warmer and eating them. I told management but they didn't seem to care at all or even pretend to be concerned. I also told the woman at the front desk explicitly, to her face, to have housekeeping clean the room after my first night, they didn't. It's clear that not one single employee at this place cares about anything or anyone. I will never come back here. Worst western.

This is an awesome hotel. Owners obviously care for it and the patrons. Well maintained, cleaned and well organized. The dinosaur motif captures the attention of anyone, young or young at heart. 5 starts+. Will be my go to anytime coming to red rocks or Denver.

Best Best Western we’ve ever stayed at. Very clean. Very good repair. Good breakfast. Very friendly & helpful staff. Large outdoor pool & pleasant pool area, pool still heated in November. Only negative was Wi-fi good not great. We would rate this hotel as a class 3-star, and will return.

We stayed here for a little staycation. The pool was big and great for children. You can walk in and it has areas of 1', 3', and 5'. There is a hot tub right next to the pool too. The room was clean and comfortable. We will likely stay again we we need a little getaway close to home.

This hotel checked all our boxes. Super clean rooms, great breakfast that goes beyond continental(the green chili was awesome) and friendly helpful staff! Super close to shops, restaurants and anything else we needed. The dinosaur theme was entertaining and informative. We will be back!

Love The Location! Close To Interstate And Shopping. The Staff Was Wonderful At Breakfast. Very Friendly And Efficient. I Did Not Interact With Front Desk Staff, As We Checked In Very Late. Housekeeping Staff Was Very Helpful. Overall I Enjoyed The Stay, And It Was Cool To Learn About Dinosaurs!

The hotel had us down for only two days but we need three. So, we requested an extra day. We were told that they could accommodate. So we gave the credit card. The third day we were traveling about twenty to thirty minutes about. They said they are double booked and we have to gave our stuff out the room. When we get back to the hotel they have all our stuff piled on a bell hop.. suitcases open.. items everywhere.. person items loaded all on the cart. Everything falls off not in any kind of order. I am very fair so ok there was some kind of miss communication but they didn't respect out things.. they could have put items in bags a d zipped suitcase… and piled neatly instead of thrown about. Very disappointing!!

Wonderfully kind staff. One of a kind hotel with AMAZING dinosaur artifacts around every corner. Plus, full cooked breakfasts every day that are delicious, not just a little continental bar ... Full breakfast! Gorgeous pool. Fantastic evening bar/restaurant. They even have a dino expert on hand most days to help you learn! It was an absolute dream for our family, and we can't wait to go back!

Pet friendly! Bed was comfortable and the shower head was a good pressure/stream. Breakfast had scrambled eggs + meat + hash browns as well as cereal. The coffee in the room was passable. The coffee at breakfast was a little weak. I ended up buying coffee while I was out.

This is one of the reasons why I stay at Best Western Hotels what a nice place marcelina.(spelling) Checking me in she was wonderful helped me out I am in Denver not for good times. My husband's in the hospital she got me the best discount. The pool and hot tub are great. The breakfast was good. It was just a great all-around experience. Jeremy helped me when I called for a reservation. He got me a room on the 1st floor they just couldn't do enough for me. I give this 10 stars. I have to stay in Denver again. I've already got my reservation there. It's five miles from the hospital, which is very convenient and a beautiful spot If you want a fun weekend with your grandkids or kids. It's just a really interesting hotel with all the fossils and they have a fella. There explaining things you would enjoy...thank you

If you have a dinosaur lover in your family, this is a must stay hotel. The dinosaur decor and murals are beyond what we had hoped for. The staff was friendly and made sure that my son was aware of all the must dos at the hotel. The fossil dig with real fossils to find and take home was a thrill, the pool was warm and clean, and the Dino expert was a great addition to our mornings. The staff was amazing from start to finish, the breakfast was a wonderful start in the morning and breakfast staff served us and were friendly and a welcome friendly voice in the mornings. The hotel was clean and comfortable, our room was quiet and we slept great each night. Check in starts at 3, so come a bit before or take a little time to get here after as I saw a line one day, but we didn't have any issues or wait times. The hotel was a great value and we will be back!!

They overcharged me and are not correcting their mistake. I paid $107.17 in February 12 to reserve a nonrefundable room- I realized a couple months later that I would need to change the night if my stay, so I called them and they modified my reservation and the night I chose cost $149.49 which I was not immediately charged the difference. I stayed 1 night at the hotel and was immediately charged the full $149.49 on top of the $107.17 I had already paid. I have been contacting the hotel and customer service- they issued me a refund of $42.27 instead of refunding me $107.17. Essentially I paid $214.39 on a room that was supposed to cost $149.49!! Hotel has made no effort to refund me the additional $64.90 they owe me. It has been a month now since my stay, so it’s time to pay off the credit card… will NOT stay at this establishment again if this is not corrected!!

Great stay. Awesome dinosaur theme & displays. Nice breakfast. Good location. Free coffee & water at all hours. Nice outdoor pool & hot tub. Gym could use work, but it's fine.

Unfortunate experience. I rented a King Suite last night. This is a two room suite. Only one heater worked & the lock on the door is busted. I found this out trying to get back into my room after a soak in the hot tub. I stood at the front desk hollering, wet, freezing in my bathing suit for over a half hour for someone to help with the door. If the front desk clerk isn’t available at the front desk, at least have some way a guest can reach someone in an emergency. What an awful experience to have to pay for!
