I shot a wedding at this historical location and it's such a charming and elegant venue! The rooms are nicely decorated and created a perfect backdrop for the couple as they were getting ready. The couple also had an outdoor ceremony under a beautiful gazebo. I definitely loved shooting here and hope to do so again in the near future.

Me and my husband stayed here for our Honeymoon and it is simply the best! The service is top notch and the Scottish breakfast is INCREDIBLE. Seriously if you go, you must get the Scottish Toast and the Hadrian's Wall! But really anything you get will be good (I can attest as me and my husband had pretty much everything on the menu during our stay). Sara and Elaine are the absolute best as well! Seriously always there when you need them and ready to do anything to make you comfy! If you're looking for a fairytale getaway in Denver, this is it!

The service was outstanding. Our host was friendly and welcoming. Our room was nice and clean and she had even made sure to put the a/c on in room ahead of our visit. It was cozy and relaxing. We sat out in the garden and played a little dice before bed and it was beautiful. We had read not to skip breakfast and are so glad we took the advice! Trout and eggs were perfection. Bed was super soft and put me right to sleep. Parking is on street. Colorado room does have a small bathroom set up. But I found it added to the aesthetic. We didn’t find it a problem at all. Just pick a different room if you a bigger or taller person or have mobility issues.

High tea- my book club has gone to I think all the Denver high tea places & this one is my favorite. Funny enough, this one is also priced the lowest. Not only is the place welcoming & cute, but the service is great & food is excellent. The sandwiches were the perfect size, not so small that you leave starving but small enough that they still feel delicate & fancy. The desserts were scrumptious! Tea was also lovely, lots of flavors to choose from.

My husband and I stayed for a weekend getaway and fell in love with this place. It is so beautiful and relaxing and the food is delicious. We also had tea and they were so kind and respectful of our gluten allergy. Everyone there is so friendly. I will definitely be going back and can’t wait to check it out in the spring/summer when the garden is in bloom.

My husband and I went here for our 4 year wedding anniversary. The moment we arrived we were greeted by the owner who was attentive and overall a great person. The room was beyond gorgeous and my husband couldn’t get over the decorative ceiling. We both loved the old architect and overall ambiance. The jetted tub in the garden suite was amazing! The gardens were beautiful, we spent two nights relaxing on the swing for hours. The breakfast was delicious as well. We will highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing time in Denver. Thank you, again.

Wonderful and unique stay! The rooms are beautiful and unique, the hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast is amazing! Located in a quiet residential neighborhood with a beautiful garden and lots of places to hang out. I also enjoyed the giant jetted tub in the garden room. Highly recommend!

Amazing little place. When I say little I mean huge. Lots of space and I imagine a wedding or special event here would be incredible. Staff has been great. Very welcoming. We ended up with the honeymoon suite and it's huge. Only complaint would be the bed size but we're coming from home with a king bed so it wouldn't be fair to downvote for that. The queen is pretty comfortable.

This past weekend was my second stay at this charming BNB. From the hotel ambiance, to the hosts, and their magnificent breakfast options, every penny I spent was well spent. My first stay I stayed in the anniversary suite. My most recent stay I stayed in the honeymoon suite with my love. Each room was beyond comfortable and extraordinary. Elaine and Joel make sure you have the best experience, while being super hosts at the same time! And the view of downtown from the roof/ fire escape! Out of this world. I had the pleasure of watching the sunrise from it, and it was absolutely breath taking. To Elaine and Joel, thank you for yet another phenomenal birthday experience! I will see you this summer for my anniversary! To anyone considering this property, I highly recommend! Please be aware though, no children under 3 and the payment comes out two weeks in advanced (Expedia didn’t tell me that! 😂) but trust me, it’s all worth it!

We hosted our wedding at the Lumber Baron last summer and couldn’t recommend them enough. We were pretty clueless on wedding planning and their planner Sasha was so helpful throughout the numerous meetings leading up to the big day. Even day-of with rain and a last minute change of vendors - the entire LB team made sure everything went off without a hitch. A very special place, particularly if you’re looking for an intimate, hands-on relationship with your venue. Kudos to Joel, Elaine, Sasha and the whole team!!

Elaine with the Lumber Baron Inn and Gardens catered a beautiful high tea for an elderly client today through Wish of A Lifetime. Her attention to detail, kindness, and amazing food/tea was breathtaking!! I highly recommend this beautiful place, and will be visiting for a stay, dinner, and brunch!! Check it out!! I went to Colorado for my honeymoon and I stumbled upon this wonderful bed and breakfast. It's located in a safe neighborhood that's very charming and beautiful with lots of street parking. The staff here is spectacular. Walking in and talking to Elaine made me feel like I was walking into a family member's home, I felt so comfortable. The rooms were very comfortable, spacious, absolutely beautiful, and each room was unique. We ended up staying multiple nights here and can't wait to come back in the future. I recommend everyone to stay here at least once.

We’ll located and nice bed and breakfast. We spent a night as we wanted to try a few places around. We stayed at the Valentine’s suite which was clean and spacious with gorgeous antique furniture, big windows overlooking a quiet side street. The one item I would mention to research a tad closer than we did is which rooms have private baths and jacuzzi tubs. Depending on where you read you may see “all with private baths and jacuzzi tubs” or “all rooms feature private jacuzzi baths.” The Valentine’s room did not have a jacuzzi tub/bath. Regardless, this historical home is well taken care of and if you enjoy the ambiance of hand-crafted wood floors, staircases, furniture, etc. it is a place to check out. We were welcomed by friendly staff and the owner who showed us how to get in after 6:00pm and our room, while sharing a few details about the property. All bedrooms are upstairs and there a neat and very helpful closet offering water and ear plugs. We really enjoyed how quiet, private and peaceful the place is. Breakfast is included in your stay and you get to pick what you’d like the night before. Breakfast takes place on the first place in spacious rooms with plenty of natural light, surrounded by really antiques in the form of art, porcelain shoe collection, furniture, fireplaces, etc. Once again the care and attention at breakfast was excellent without taking away your privacy. Some times service can be overwhelming with pleasantries, this team knows exactly how to pace things. They have a full bar if you want a mimosa or anything else to complement your meal. The food was great. We had steak and eggs and Croque Madame with mimosas. Before we headed out we also stepped to the third floor where the ballroom is located. Impressively big space again with a ton of natural light, a small stage, bar space, restroom facilities and a very cute round tower room, which I can only imagine how beautifully it can be staged for wedding or other celebration photos! The property also has outdoors space. A beautiful porch wrapping around the house and a patio at the back with plenary of space and a gazebo to make a private celebration extra special. The neighborhood was one thing I wasn’t sure about when we booked, but that is also quiet and beautiful, allowing for an evening stroll to admire the wonderful gardens the neighbors have. Overall a wonderful experience. Quiet, private, relaxing, something to look forward to repeating!

My husband and I recently tied the knot at the wonderful Lumber Baron Inn in Denver, and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue! Our experience was nothing short of incredible, and we would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a friendly and easy-going atmosphere. From the moment we arrived at the Lumber Baron Inn, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Elaine, Joel, and Sasha were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. They were always ready to answer our questions and assist with any request we had, which made the entire planning process a breeze. Their easy-going nature put us at ease, knowing that our special day was in capable hands. The venue itself is charming and full of character. The historic architecture and cozy atmosphere created the perfect setting for our celebration. We exchanged our vows in the picturesque garden, surrounded by blooming flowers and the soft glow of twinkling lights. It was truly a magical experience. The food at the Lumber Baron Inn was absolutely delicious! Joel provided a fantastic array of mouthwatering dishes that left our guests raving. The menu options were diverse, and the staff was accommodating to any dietary restrictions or special requests. One of the standout features of the Lumber Baron Inn is the onsite accommodations. It was so convenient to have our wedding party and out-of-town guests stay right at the inn. The rooms were comfortable, well-appointed, and added an extra layer of charm to our wedding weekend. It was like having a cozy home away from home. Throughout the entire process, the staff's attention to detail was remarkable. They anticipated our needs and went the extra mile to ensure everything ran smoothly on our big day. Their friendly and easy-going nature made us feel like we were among friends, and that added an extra level of joy to our wedding experience. If you're looking for a wedding venue that offers a friendly and easy-going atmosphere, the Lumber Baron Inn is the perfect choice. We can't thank the staff enough for their incredible hospitality and for helping us create memories that will last a lifetime. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more!

The cutest and awesome place for afternoon tea! We were all so happy with our food, tea, and service here. We’re even got the tarot readings and that was such a fun bonus. The interior and exterior of this place is beautiful. We all wanted to come back to stay a night!

My sister wanted a tea party for her baby shower and so I scoured the internet for anywhere in the Denver metro area serving tea. The Lumber Baron Inn is a new addition to the afternoon tea scene since I lived in the area a decade ago, but I immediately knew it was exactly what we were looking for. They made the planning process a breeze from beginning to end. Sasha, the event coordinator, was professional and lovely to work with over the course of the two-and-a-half months of planning. She offered a choice of the rose garden or the upstairs ballroom for the event. The party itself was spectacular. The venue is gorgeous, exactly the tranquil space for a group of 25 we were after. The food was something I will definitely be going back for when I am in town again. I am sure the menu changes, but we were served Palisade peach scones (massive!) with all the proper toppings, crumpets, egg salad sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, a beet and goat cheese sandwich, mini key lime pie tartlets, brownie bites, and one more cookie I didn’t get around to trying but looked delicious. Everything turned out perfectly and I really can’t even think of a single critique. A big thank you to our server, Erin, who set everything up so beautifully and was always available, and to the owners of the Lumber Baron Inn, who have turned this historic house into such an enjoyable experience.

We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Lumber Baron, and we could not be happier about the experience. It was SO PERFECT! Not only is the location gorgeous, the staff is also incredibly welcoming and flexible. The owners and the venue coordinator were awesome and helped us make our wedding exactly how we wanted to be. As a bonus, we can always come back and have tea for our anniversaries! But honestly I want to come back even sooner. The people make that historic location such a comfortable and fun place, it felt like being home but better. I can't say enough good things about this place!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens in Denver. Room: The rooms are beautiful and clean. Towels, shampoo conditioner are all available in the room. The bed is very comfortable giving it a 10 out of 10. The staff: very friendly and always going above and beyond making sure everyone is comfortable. The owners Joel and Elaine were fantastic and kind. We enjoyed interacting with them, and they were helpful. The house: it's amazing on the inside from the old picture to the library looking doors very cool!!! The Food: the breakfast is amazing I wish I could order more but it's more than enough to fill you up. Tea Time: very nice experience just chilled for a few hours drinking unlimited delicious tea and eating some cool stuff made all inhouse. Definitely coming again I wouldn't stay at a hotel after this experience!! Enjoy the pictures!!!

We came to stay for our first anniversary. We booked the Honeymoon Suite! The staff was very accommodating, and even stored our cake for us until we were ready for it. The Inn was beautiful, in great condition, and clean!

We had the pleasure of getting married at The Lumber Baron Inn and Gardens. It was everything we hoped for and more. We started planning about 8 months prior to the date and Sasha and the team made everything so easy. She created a google doc to ensure everything was in order for our big day. Joel and Elaine were extremely accommodating for our needs and so welcoming into their home. We scheduled our food tasting when convenient for our schedule (we live in Atlanta and had to plan a trip out a couple months before the wedding.) Sasha had a list of recommended vendors and they were all top notch. Between our friends and family, we had multiple different food allergies (nuts, gluten, garlic, dairy) but Joel and his team created a beautiful menu. The drink selection was also great. Erin made us two signature cocktails that were delicious! The venue is stunning! The house is so cool with so much unique character. The gardens were beautiful and the ballroom perfect for the dance party. Our wedding was ~ 110 people and it felt so intimate and full of love. I cannot recommend this team enough. Each room is very unique and full great energy. Everyone was great in their communication, support, and the implementation of our vision. We would highly recommend having your wedding, or any event, at the Lumber Baron Inn.

Went here for afternoon Tea for my birthday. It was very great price at around $30 per-person. The food is outstanding! The tea comes in bags and isn't like traditional English style afternoon Tea where it is lose in the tea pot. I would go again just for the food! Really want to stay the night as well.

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night. The location was fantastic as the church was just a few minutes from here. Great place to stay, very helpful staff and we very much appreciated the free upgrade. Amazing breakfast as well!

I did a small vacation in Colorado, sampling different hotels. Out of the 4 we stayed in, we definitely enjoyed the Lumber Baron Inn the most. Absolutely beautiful location and building, magical garden full of plants and wildlife, comfy beds, generous innkeepers, delicious food. We stayed in the Garden Room and woke up to the sunlight filtering through the trees and the smell of freshly brewed coffee.

Stunning Bed & Breakfast and the staff are are very nice and accommodating. My husband and I stayed in the Anniversary Suite and it was very cozy and comfortable. The jacuzzi was very relaxing. The inn keeper Sarah that greeted us when we arrived was awesome. She brought us ice and wine glasses to our suite. We had a wonder quiet and lovely stay. We had an amazing breakfast the morning before our check-out. I had the trout and it was so delicious. The entire staff were so amazing. We will most definitely will stay again in the future.

Elaine and Joel were phenomenal hosts! They were so accommodating and so very kind. They were able to give a ton of recommendations on places to go and things to see. The food was incredible and the Honeymoon Suite was so beautiful, as was the entire house.

The Lumber Baron Inn was an awesome experience. The hostess and host were so helpful and attentive. Friendly and engaging without being nosey. The perfect balance for a bed and breakfast. The rooms were gorgeous and immaculate. So much history in that location. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which has a hot tub in an amazing location. The breakfast was unique and delicious. The coffee will most assuredly put hair on your chest. I give the experience 5 out of 5 stars only because 6 stars is not an option.
