Drinks were great staff were friendly however I was there for 6 hours trying to sing karaoke and realized they favor regulars. So if you go to sing karaoke and don't normally go there please don't waste your time. Sat on the bottom floor for close to 4 hours and never got my name called and said screw it. Tried upstairs sat up there for two and a half hours before u said screw it and was on the way out the door before a regular asked if I had sung and I said no, coincidentally I sang next. So please don't waste your time or money on this place

Really nice feeling! This restaurant is definitely not too loud so it makes it a great place to catch up with friends. The karaoke is fun and we went early 4pm so the kids had a great time singing! The wait staff are amazing individuals they give you that down home hacienda kind of feel and are so friendly and and welcoming, plus the food is really good!

Cozy little place!! The karaoke area is kind if tiny, so it is perfect for people with stagefright! (I don't have stagefright though, and wished for a larger audience, but oh well. We went on a Monday so it was dead) Watch your step on the way in, the steps are trippy XD There are clear rules about not booing or jeering and the staff are really friendly and love to sing on the mic when no one else has requested songs. They have a pretty extensive songbook, but I wanted to sing KPop, and they can look up Youtube Karaokes or instrumentals for you. They have two mics on the stage so you can do duets. To sing, you write your name, song title, and song artist on a slip of paper and hand it to the KJ. Then he will call up your name randomly. There are multiple tvs displaying the song lyrics so you can move around on the stage and still see the lyrics, and the audience can see the lyrics and sing along if they want. There is a charging station for your phone if you drained your battery filming, like me XD. The menu is mexican food and burgers(?). It is decent, but not the best to be eating if you want to be singing too. The whole place becomes only 18+ after 9pm. There is an upstairs half too, but this is only open on the weekends.

BEST TACOS! The food is incredible. I had the best tacos and house margarita. The guacamole and homemade chips were to die for! Seriously you need to check it out. The restaurant has a new name now but the food is so good. The tortillas are made in house which make it even better!

The Five stars are for Armidas not La Milpa what happened. Armidas was my favorite place: Will they ever be karaoke again?

5 Star Karaoke, 2 Star Food The logo says karaoke, food, and drinks. I think the order should be karaoke, drinks, and then food. This "institution" has been the best karaoke bar in Denver for a long time. I hadn't been in about 10 years, but recently got invited to a going away party there. It's still a great place to have fun and act a little crazy while singing karaoke with friends. Unfortunately the party was right around dinner time, and I planned to eat dinner there as well. The street tacos I had were probably the worst I have ever eaten. Overall, the food seem to be on par or similar to the quality of food at Casa Bonita. Again a place you don't go to for the food.

Great place to have a few drinks and enjoy a show. The crowd is always very energetic, everyone is into the show. Even those of us with minimal talent receive strong support and backup singing from the audience. Its a dive bar slash hole in the wall restaurant that becomes iconic when you throw in the karaoke.

LA MILPA! Great food and wonderful people, plus a wonderful drink selection including Pulque!

I am NOT a Karaoke bar person. I recently went wirh a couple friends and had a BLAST! Some of the singer's were so good, it got people dancing...me too😉 Now I've actually been back. The crowd is such an eclectic mix of people, that it made the experience really fun! A specific bartender, downstairs, was rude BOTH times! But theirs a bar upstairs as well...so go there.

Good bar, nothing special about their drinks. If you want to sing karaoke you're likely to wait 2 hours to get on, unless you know the dj, their friends get up 4 times before you do. Next time I want to sing karaoke I will def go somewhere else

It's always fun to come to enjoy some food and beverages here and get a little karaoke in! Beware on the weekends, however. It gets packed! Also some new rules to get up and sing since times in the past. They now require you to order first and then put in to sing a song. No more walking up to the DJ to drop a song. Boo!!!

Okay so I actually LOVE this place. I think it's great they have two floors for karaoke! The staff is pretty friendly and the DJ does a good job of keeping things lively. The reason I'm not putting higher starts is that they are wildly understaffed. It takes pretty long to get drinks/food. I know it's not the servers because they're pretty much constantly sprinting to different tables. I guess a tip would be to know your drink and for order before you get there because once it gets busy IT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME. Seriously worth going though!

The best bar! So friendly, go there and you'll feel like family. Singers of all ranges welcome. Everyone will have a good time. People will most likely sing along with you so don't feel shy to sing on stage. Food is killer too. No reason not to go to this place.
