I went in for their reopening post-remodel and it was a great experience. Not too many people in there even during dinner hours, so please frequent this place! The food felt light going in but once it settled in my stomach it was nice and filling. Lots of flavors here that you can't find elsewhere. Can't recommend enough.

This place is delicious!! Went here to celebrate my brother's birthday. All the food was amazing. They were sold out of the ribs. So you know they are good! You go up to order your food. They make everything fresh. Highly recommend the Indian Taco! It's not a huge place, but they have plenty of seating. They also have outdoor seating.

This place was fantastic! I have never experienced a place quite like this, it is a similar setup to restaurants like chipotle and subway, but it is American Indian food! My wife and I both got shredded Buffalo meat and an assortment of toppings and everything tastes fresh and very good quality. Would highly recommend this to someone who is looking to try something new and has an adventurous heart.

Good experience. In town for some mental health relief and wife and I decided to give this local spot a try. We originally came to try their bison ribs but unfortunately they are primarily served on weekends. Being the trooper that I am decided to try one of their bowls a try. Everything was fresh and tasty so if ever in the mood for a healthy meal, stop by and give them a try. Bonus plus: staff is super friendly

This place is good on so many levels. The food was inventive and better than I had even imagined. Service was quick and friendly, even with a line. They’re closed tomorrow, on the 4th but for us as visitors to Denver it was a perfect way to start acknowledging and celebrating Indigenous people. If we lived here, I’d be here all the time.

Wow, wow, wow, I was searching for the other Indian food and this came up in my search results and I'm so glad. Completely forgot bison was a thing in this area. I tried the bison taco and it was so good it just blew me away. I wanted to try the ribs but they're only served on the weekend. When I make it back here, this will be one of my first stops!

This was hands down the best new restaurant I’ve tried in a while! We were driving through town and this place sounded interesting, and I’m so glad we stopped in. I had the Indian taco with shredded bison and it was delicious. We also tried the fry bread nuggets which were like a hot mini powdered donut. We got two boxes and they went way too quick. The staff was super helpful and explained the differences between all the things, and the bathrooms were clean and nice. The next time I’m coming thru Denver we are stopping here again for sure!

This Tocabe location is outstanding. I ordered the Bison Ribs that came with fry bread and I ordered a side of green chili stew. Every aspect of this meal I was outstanding, the ribs were unique and very flavorful, the fry bread was fluffy and delicious, and the green chili stew head a small amount of heat and very flavorful. The staff was very friendly and courteous and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Every time I eat Native American food, I love it, but it's so hard to find. I was so happy to discover this spot. It's a Chipotle-style build your own spot. My husband and I shared: - Fancy Indian Taco -Tradish Stuffed Fry Bread Both were very good, but between the two my choice would be the Tradish. I preferred it stuffed too. I will happily come back again!

Absolutely delicious! I had their stuff fry bread and bison right after 6 hours in the tattoo parlor right next to it and I was overjoyed. Perfect flavors, great sauces and salsas. If you’re white, they have the perfect amount of spice for you. If you’re like me and enjoy the spicy, they have that too. If you’re ever in the area it’s a great place to eat!

Great food with the added bonus of having a connection to Indigenous peoples. Wide range of selections that you can tailor to your taste. The staff is great and can help you choose what you want. I had the taco with shredded bison which was excellent. They have a nice patio to sit and eat outside.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! We had the stuffed fry bread with shredded bison, chutney and corn… holy cow it was AMAZING I had a little leftover and I ate it when I got home because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Grateful to support the local native community! A friend from Boulder told us about this spot and we are happy we got the scoop!!! Delicious and would absolutely recommend

As a European traveler in the USA I have never tried bison meat and therefore I have visited Native Indian owned Tocabe restaurant. I tried Bison ribs and it was the best food I had in my 7-weeks travelling around the USA so far. Very nice place with a lot of tables and seatings. Very friendly staff and food? ... Man, easy 6 out of 5 stars! :-) Definitely recommend to visit for anyone who is a fan of really good ribs and a great service. As a second food I tried minced bison with green chile and it was also really good. I am not sure if the ribs will even be beaten. It was simply the greatest food I had and for only $16 it is a real bargain. Thank you very much!

One of my favorite places to eat while visiting Colorado. The staff are always nice and friendly and the food is absolutely amazing!! Indian Tacos and Fried Bread. Bison shredded beef or ground beef, chicken and vegetarian options. You can even get a fried bread with cinnamon and sugar for your sweet tooth. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing as well as a few outdoor tables. Parking is very limited here, but don't let this deter you from eating here. The food is absolutely amazing!!! 😋

I saw this place on Triple D and knew I had to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! The Indian Tacos is phenomenal and the braised bison perfectly seasoned. They even have a few local beer options if you're in the mood. Totally affordable for a meal in the city and one of my favorite places from the entire trip.

This is a really trendy kind of place. The food was pretty decent and the servers were nice. I read they probably wouldn’t have the bison ribs available and they certainly didn’t. The employees were young and didn’t have a lot of info but were friendly just the same. The ground bison had good flavor and the fry bread was great. It is definitely a mixture of native culture as well as Hispanic culture for the food options. Clean and worth trying!

This is the only Native American food restaurant in Denver. Food was very good. We all got the Indian Taco with Bison. Some were shredded, some were ground. The ground Bison had more flavor & seemed to have been seasoned with an herbal mix. For me this was as much an experience as it was a meal. The Wojapi was very good as well. I definitely recommend this place. It reminded me if a Chipotle burrito restaurant because it was a "buildable" meal.

I've had this restaurant saved in my "Want to go to" list for years, for whenever I was back in Denver. It did not disappoint. Fry bread was delicious! Staff provided helpful recommendations.

Saw this on divers drive-ins and dives. While in Colorado we thought what the heck let’s go try out American Indian food. It was everything we thought and hoped it would be. We had the bison taco and ribs special. Very delicious, the taco bread was soft like a non-sugared donut. Very soft and mushy and flavorful. Great for absorbing all the sauces from the beans and sweet corn, etc. that came with the meal. The shredded bison on top was delicious flavorful really went well with the taco, the portion is huge so we shared it, there’s no way one person can eat this without taking a nap later. We also ordered the bison ribs special. We were there before 12 o’clock and they weren’t ready. Took an hour to be ready. Not sure what happened, if they had a mad dash on ribs at 11am? Or mismanagement of the kitchen? Kind of weird that a place who’s calling it out on the main menu at the register says bison rib, special not have bisons ready. I love the atmosphere very cool. Very limited parking though. Suggest you go early, limited seating and maybe call ahead if you want some ribs. Would I go here again? YES!

Bison Ribs and Fry Bread are the best things ever. The cost is pretty high ($17 without drink) and they're not super filling, but the taste alone is worth it. Also super friendly kind staff. I also like that they have Pepsi. It's a very popular place, and very delicious

Everything is great here. I enjoyed every minute I spent eating there. I always go and get Indian tacos, but this time, I changed it up and went with the stuffed fry bread and the braised bison, and it did not disappoint. The parking lot is small. I had to find a spot on the street close by it was a beautiful day so I didn't mind the short walk.

My family and I ate here for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My nephews were able to prepare their bowls to their liking while the adults ordered speciality items from the menu. I ordered the bison ribs - they were smoked to perfection. The sauce was sweet and thick and the fry bread complemented it wonderfully. We all ordered some Bison in our meals and had no complaints. I truly appreciate Tocabe for brining Native American indigenous cuisine to the public in Denver. I will be back!
