The place is okay. Service is okay. Food could be risky. You make reservations but you wait 10-15 minutes in medium. The stuff is very cold and careless. Not professional neither welcoming... The appetizer brusketa was okay, however it was overloaded with permission cheese. To hide something I guess. I can't say that was fresh or anything like that. It was okay. The bread they bring in the beginning is fake as well. Not real bread ... Even king's Soopers Italian bread is better. The second appetizer we order was fried zucchini. The zucchini was thin but with heavy bread toppings and just really modest portion. I ordered aperol Spritz it was served in a water glass. Very light on champagne and overloaded with ice. Just not as supposed to be. My friend ordered watermelon margarita. Honestly overpriced and really not taste as watermelon but some fake pink dust. Too much money for 15$ for a bad cocktail. I ordered ravioli mushrooms, instead of usual ravioli plate I received something like soup,, water soup with 5 ravioli Please and spinach mushroom peases on top. The dish is 19$... But you are still hungry. My friend ordered chicken with spaghetti 🍝 it was terrible. Really the most spicy thing I ever tried, not even an Indian spicy dish was that spicy. It had probably 20 jalapeno inside the dish and black paper. It was really bad. I don't recommend this dish. Over all give the feeling of being part of a froude. I don't think that I would be excited to go there again. Nothing special. I believe they pay for Google to delete the accurate reviews. It took me many trying until I was able to put thia review. It's fine. Mediocre place selling you overpriced food. Disappointing...

Wow talk about busy. The parking is horrible I just have to park blocks away but the food was worth the walk. Great atmosphere absolutely top-notch servers. An amazing selection of wine. The food was fast and taste wonderful. A bit loud from everybody talking at an incredibly high sound. But a steady flow of people in and out.

This was my first time coming here. I really liked the atmosphere it definitely gives old school Italian dining. Food was good and portions are decent. It is pricey but I didn't mind paying as it was my mom's birthday so I wanted it to be special and they indeed made it special for her. They brought her some tiramisu which was so delicious with a candle in it. Our server was so nice 😊.

This place is outstanding. The food is top-notch. I got the chicken Parmigiana. It was amazing. It was a lot be prepared for leftovers. My husband got the chicken marsala, and he said it was fantastic. We shared the tiramisu, and it was a wonderful finish to our meal. The only negative is that I ran out of my drink halfway through the meal, and our server didn't refill it. Otherwise, 100% will go back and highly recommend.

This is a cool restaurant for Italian food. Lots of history in Denver and with the mob. (Check out the restroom for mob photos). I had lunch and picked the smaller size option of spaghetti, which came with one meatball. I liked it. I also had tiramisu for dessert, which was okay. They have a parking lot and there is also street parking available.

Apparently this restaurant has some history with the mob. But how cool is that?! You can definitely tell it everything is homemade! The meatballs are on point and I would just go to that restaurant for this. Everything is authentic. It is the style of restaurant that uses tomato, basil, garlic for every single recipe. So the photos aren’t super attractive, but the authenticity is noticeable

The best Italian restaurant in Denver! Makes you feel like you're eating on the set of Goodfellas. The chicken parmesan was cooked to perfection and the lasagna was full of meat and cheese. The marinara has just the right flavor, not too sweet. My new favorite place!

Old school gem! The service is so great. The happy hour menu is small, but contains all of the classics including an excellent wedge salad & shishito peppers. The chicken parmesan was generous and very delicious. The beverages were good too. The recommended Chianti pairing with the chicken parm was spot on.

My parents were visiting from out of town and really enjoyed this place. About $250 for 6 people, everything was delicious. Family favorites were definitely the tiramisu and the calamari that also had jalapeños mixed in.

Gaetanos is a Denver icon. Emerging out of Denver's hazy northside history there has always existed the impression that somehow Gaetanos was connected to some of the more nefarious and lawless Denver families. Whether that's true or not, I'll have to leave that to the historians. What I do know is that I had a fantastic made to order Italian meal, a couple of good stiff drinks, and old school atmosphere. Gaetano's can be a lot of fun.

While visiting Denver, we were told about Gaetano’s. Fortunately we were able to make a reservation for New Year’s Day dinner. When we entered, it was busy, which was a good sign. We saw an order of the calamari go to a table and definitely wanted to try it after just seeing it. We were sat within a couple minutes, however the tables for 2 were pretty tightly squeezed and in a rather awkward area of the restaurant, due to this it was very easy to hear the adjoining tables conversations, which was a little distracting. Luckily the service and food made up for the atmosphere issues. Our server was impeccable and very helpful with choosing drinks and food. We had the Cioppino and the Chicken Piccata along with some wine and a cocktail. The food was amazing! The seafood in the Cioppino was so fresh and tender, and the tomato broth/sauce was probably the best I’ve tasted in a long time. (If I could have ordered just that sauce to take home I would’ve). The chicken was tender and the flavors of the piccata were perfect. We were very happy with our dinner and would definitely visit again if/when we return to Denver!

Food - 5 Service- 5 Vibe- 5 Price- 5 This is the type of place you would find any mobster after he was done filming the movie. Authentic Italian food, rich atmosphere, and to top it off a great wait staff. I will be coming back and often. The happy hour is one that does not spare. Watch public enemies and then come straight here. Items to get: Old fashion, wedge salad, any pasta on the menu.

Fantastic Italian food and desserts, especially the seafood pasta options. The Tiramasu is insanely delightful and made in house.

Celebrating a birthday and we made a reservation and we’re immediately sat down at a great table. Food was amazing! Staff were amazing and the drinks were flowing. I was the DD so don’t worry I was served great coffee and water.

Absolutely an amazing true authentic Italian experience here in Denver. Everything from the decor to the staff and especially the food. We were lucky enough to get 2 seats at the bar after calling and trying to get a reservation. It was fully booked. Bar seating is first come first serve. Highly recommend calling well in advance.

From walking in the door, we were treated like royalty. The host was very welcoming. We had appetizers, of Shishito peppers and Bruschetta. The Bruschetta was AMAZING. We also both had a house specialty cocktail. They both were outstanding. Our entrees were Sausage and peppers and Lobster ravioli. Both were prepared and presented perfectly,,,,so delicious, and paired with wines that complemented the dish. Dessert was Tirimasu that absolutely melted in your mouth and Cannoli. Our waiter was THE BEST. He took the best care of not only us, but the other patrons he was serving. It's definitely enjoyable being given that kind of attention. We visited from Iowa and I wish we were closer, because Gaetano's is definitely Top Notch, and will definitely be back if in Denver again.

Definitely authentic, tasty Italian with a cool atmosphere. Small portions but enough to fill you up. Only complaint was the service was terribly slow even when the place wasn’t very busy for brunch. I do understand there’s a labor shortage, so be sure to schedule yourself plenty of time even though there’s signs everywhere inside of a 90 minute max dining time.

This was a gift from my in laws as a late anniversary offer. The atmosphere gives big family dinner get togethers with lots of laughter and good times to be had. Once we got over the initial communication snafu we were seated out on the patio where it was a bit quieter and more intimate. The staff was all engaging and both service and food was prompt and very well done.
