We went on a Monday evening and there was a 30-45 minute wait, but it is totally worth it. The pizza is amazing, the service is charming, and the people watching is great. My only suggestion is they lease back the space they moved out of next door and expand the dining room. It was packed and even at 8pm there were people waiting for tables. Understandable though... it's dang good pizza. We got half Gold Hill and half KOTO Telluride. Both were equally yummy-licious. Don't get thrown by the shape or the Detroit style... obviously they know what's up in the Motor City.

Detroit style pizza done well. I'm actually not a huge fan of Detroit style because sometimes the dough is hit or miss and you're left with a giant box of dough and a few toppings. Blue Pan was much better with lots of creative toppings and that crisp and crusty cheesy edge to the pizza. The 3 1 3 was great. Someone in our group ordered the southwestern bbq chicken pizza, and I tried a bit and was not a huge fan. But, very good take out service and all around good pizza for the price.

One of the best Detroit style pizza restaurants in Denver. The ingredients are great quality and tastes great. I never had ricotta this good on pizza before. Their garlic cheese bread is amazing.

Excellent service, the best pizza I've ever had. The atmosphere is really nice here. The windows are opened to the outside and there isn't much car noise. Nice music in the background. The entire staff is really nice to communicate with and they give excellent recommendations. Rhiannon was our server. She was really kind and recommended the San Marzano and the Telluride. Both came well done. The crust is crisly, the dough is soft, the tomato was full of flavor, and the chicken was well cooked. Highly recommend this, honestly the best pizza I've ever had.

What a great spot! I would say that the only negative is that people like this place so much that it’s generally quite busy (so expect to wait) BUT there are a couple locations and frankly if you have some time the wait is worth it… After listening to a local podcast about pizza joints where the consensus was that Blue Pan was hands down the best pizza in town, my girlfriend and I had to check it out and I will say that it did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and the service was wonderful, beer selection solid, and the pizza fantastic. We went with the fan favorite: Brooklyn Bridge in the bigger size and still took half home (great left overs too)… Five stars for sure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What an amazing experience at Blue Pan Pizza! Starting with the appetizers - meatballs were succulent and juicy, unexpectedly great taste from eggplant fries (I don’t love eggplant usually), the Caesar Salad that’s a whole lot of awesome. By the time pizza got to the table I was already sold. No wonder the logo is an astronaut - the pizza was out of this world. Get the smaller size ones so you can try a bunch. You really can’t go wrong.

Came here on my last night in the city with my brother. From the service to the food and everything in between was absolutely fantastic. Lucy was our server. She was attentive, inviting, knowledgeable and friendly. Sarah who is the GM was wonderful. She brought us to our table and discussed what they had. She helped me pick out what I wanted as it was my first time there. Food was delicious! We had the meatballs as a starter and they were phenomenal. Pizza, my brother got the sausage, pepper rocky mountain pizza on the Chicago Cracker Thin. I got a split of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Sweetie Pie on the Detroit Style. Will absolutely be coming back when I'm in town again!

Cool spot with a neighborhood vibe, friendly service, and delicious gluten-free options. I had the gf breadsticks and the gf Detroit style pizza with cheese and cupped pepperoni. The pizza was obviously not as deep as the regular non-gf one, but still had a lovely caramelized crust and some of the freshest ingredients I've had on pizza in a while. Can't wait to go back to try more.

Detroit style pizza. Square, thick & tasty. Good local beer selection. Good service. It's a very busy place. There is a reason. An enjoyable, pleasing and satisfying experience.

Great pizza! Both Detroit and NY style pizzas offered. We got 1 of each and loved them both but I was most impressed with the thick crust of the Detroit style. Lots of unusual topping types. A few vegetarian pizzas too. Good appetizers. We got the Good Boy garlic bread which was great. Small bar serving tap beer and cocktails. Service was fast and friendly.

I have been to Blue Pan on two separate occasions now, and my experience slightly varied for each trip. The first time we decided to give this establishment a chance was after hearing a glowing review from the One Bite pizza review series. We arrived and saw a menu full of "award winning" pizza options, and figured those ought to be the options we tried first. We ordered four of their most popular deep dish pizzas, and when the food arrived we found that most slices looked more like a salad than a pizza. Huge helpings of greenery with interesting toppings like prosciutto and cream cheese. The pizza was artisan, no doubt, but I don't know that I'd be giving it any awards. That being said, I could tell after our first trip, that the baseline foundation of their Chicago pizza was very good; I just needed to return, and be a bit more careful with my order. Our second trip was outstanding. I returned with a group of friends; some interested in the more artisan pizza, and some like myself (who just wanted a "normal" pie). This time, I went with a more standard cheese pizza in their Chicago deep dish style. One bite in and I knew my initial assumption about their baseline was correct. It was an outstanding pizza. Without a doubt the best Chicago style in the Denver area. My recommendation is to try Blue Pan regardless of the type of pizza you like, but I'd caution you to order carefully. Many of the "award winning" options are nonstandard artisan slices, and they can be a bit overwhelming. I found my experience to be far better when I just pulled back and indulged in a nice cheese pizza.

Great pizza spot. Even better since the expansion, but still has a really cool cozy atmosphere. I usually only get the Margarita Detroit style but I ventured out to try the “Parma.” It was very good and I’m glad I tried it. Will probably stick to my usual.

This was some delicious pizza! I don’t usually go with the thicker crust pizzas, but this one is worth it! Cute little place though the parking on surrounding streets is tricky. There are many beer options but we all went with a very tasty root beer. I love the carafe of water for the table. Thank you! We tried the Brooklyn Bridge and the Little Rose. The only downer to the little rose is that it’s not available in a large. It’s so good! The hot honey adds some spice and sweet to the perfectly crispy crust. A seriously delicious pizza. The Brooklyn bridge was good. I always love fresh creamy ricotta on a pizza. The pepperoni was good. I couldn’t taste the sausage. I liked the amount of sauce (a lot) and it was quite good. I will definitely be back to try more of the pizzas. Along with a little rose. 🌹

Pizza 5/5!!!! Highly recommend sticking with the Detroit style, as that’s what they’re known for! Best veggie pizza I’ve had in a long time! Root beer that’s on-tap 5/5!!! Customer service was disappointing, 3/5. It was busy and things felt chaotic. Based on word of mouth I imagine they’re always busy but expected better service!

I was in Denver for a conference and upon checking into my hotel I turned the tv on and the show Diners Drive ins and Dives was on. This restaurant was featured on that episode, so I knew right then I had to visit. The show did an outstanding job in preparing me to what was an excellent meal! We had the Brooklyn Bridge pizza as featured on the show with a caesar salad and some of the best tasting lemonade ever! Great pizza spot if you’re in the Denver area!

Absolutely awesome pizza! This will definitely be our new go-to pizza place - Went with a group of 4 of us at 5pm on a Sunday. We got seated right away and service was fantastic! We all loved the half and half Parma Italia/Brooklyn Bridge Detroit Style pizza as well as the classic Margherita NY style pizza (plus root beers for the whole table)! Highly recommend! 🍕❤️

This place is the best Detroit style pizza I have ever had. Cool little street and neighborhood. I come here every time I am in Denver. Even took some through security otw home. Everything is fire. If it sounds good it will be good.

As a native Detroiter, the Detroit style pizza was pretty good. It's not EXACTLY the same as back home but pretty close. The place is small and I'm not a fan of street parking buuut they had Vernor's and Faygo pop!!!! The bartender Karen was nice and kept my company too. I would go back

One our go-to spots in Denver but we usually go to the other location. We always get the Detroit style pizza because it’s cooked perfectly with the crispy edges. Today it was a little too saucy and a little disappointing. Also, we also asked for ricotta on only half but they still put it on the whole thing. Next time we want to try to cracker thin crust as we generally gravitate toward thin (but the Detroit is usually good here)! Also got the magnolia salad which was delicious!! Was also perfect weather with the windows all open. Great spot.

We ordered the Good Dog (garlic cheese bread), and the Little Rose (amazing! Love that hot honey addition that's embedded into the pizza) and Prospector pizzas. The dough was incredible. The sizes were generous and we got to take leftovers home. They also make their own ranch apparently. Both the normal and garlic ranch were great. Fantastic ambiance, very popular place! Would get there early on weekend / holiday evenings.

Glad to have finally tried Blue Pan, one of the better places to grab pizza in Denver, and perhaps the only one where you'll find fairly authentic Detroit style. The crust is excellent, that perfect caramel chewy char around the outside. The cheese is also really high quality, flavorful with good pull. The sauce is fairly lacking, both in thickness and flavor. Coming from New York and Chicago, maybe I'm a bit of a harsh critic, but we had to douse it with salt and pepper to get the flavor closer to what we were looking for. Also, coming from NY and Chicago, $18 for what you see pictured is phenomenal. I'm not sure I could get a plain cheese pie for $18 anymore back home. For very good Detroit style pizza at an absolutely fantastic price, Blue Pan is definitely worth a look.

The best pizza I’ve tried in denver so far 🍕! 10 minutes after these pictures were taken I heard my friends say, “I don’t think I really new pizza until now” “Audrey you really know where the pizza is at” “11/10, doesn’t even compare” “Am I in Colorado or Detroit??” It’s more expensive than your average pizza place, because you can’t find this pizza anywhere else in denver. Shoutout to the amazing staff 🎉 For more denver recommendations follow me on Instagram @audrey.pulliam

Incredible pizza. Absolutely perfect Detroit style. Loved everything about it. Just ask for extra dipping sauce because you need it. I read this was one of the best pizzas in Denver, and now that I've had it, that is definitely a true statement.

Something seems a little different than I remember about the pizza (almost like it was shorter? Less crust below the toppings?). It didn't impact how good the pizza is though. The new spot has like 5x the amount of space as the old highlands location next door did. Brooklyn Bridge still my favorite pizza in the country.

If you're looking for pizza don't pass up these terrific Detroit-style pies! Stopped in for a late lunch and got a table immediately in front of the windows (they were open since it was warm). On the tables, there is a puck with a QR code to scan for the current drink menu. Our server was outstanding and very helpful; he asked how familiar we were with Detroit-style pizza and let us know they offer a half-and-half pie (awesome!). We ordered a 4-cut half "Brooklyn Bridge" and half "Mountain Top" which was perfect for two people. Both flavors were delicious, the crust was crispy on the outside but still airy and light. Sauce was subtly sweet, toppings were fresh. My husband usually dislikes ricotta but said it worked very well on the pizza. If Detroit-style pan pizza isn't your thing they also offer Chicago thin crust and New York style pies. Whether you're from Detroit or just love their pizza this place makes a pie that the Motor City would be proud of!
