    The urgent care is nice and helpful. But the main clinic for therapy appointment registration is frustrating. I was referred by my other healthcare doctor to call Pena to schedule there for a closer appointment and the lady who answered my call was rude and said you’re not in the system when I said obviously I’m registering as a new patient. She asked harshly who my previous doctor was and then she made a big deal saying you need to stay over there and not go here. I’m not sure why your staff is so negative when it comes to new patients. Work on your staff to be trained better and give them proper customer service skills because we’re here for our health not for you to make it difficult for all of us.

    Been going here for the past year and a half and after this last visit will be my last. The staff is unprofessional , I came across a decent doctor here however the wait time during my appointments are hours long, when you call the clinic your hung up on by the front desk staff and they always have bad attitudes, I guess they don’t make much money I’m unsure but it’s just very disorganized and unprofessional staff here, I have great insurance and can be doing much better with the service I get here at this clinic.

    Would give negative stars if possible. Absolutely the worst experience I've EVER had with any PCP or any type of medical care. Was misgendered multiple times after being asked my pronouns. MD (Carolina P Gutierrez) was argumentative, disrespectful, condescending and all around rude. Was given a legitimate diagnosis yet told I need to manage my anxiety and weight because "we just need to let your thyroid burn out before we can help you." Absolutely shocking. Saw on MyChart she forged documents stating I was seen by an endocrinologist when I wasn't that back her negligent claims. Avoid this place and this person AT ALL COSTS.

    I cut my finger and had to go to Peña urgent care. The care I received was great, the PA Rick did my sutures and he was the best. He was knowledgeable, kind, funny, thorough and made me feel so comfortable. That’s all carry on🤗

    The girls that work in the enrollment office are rude and make stupid faces when speaking to the customers. They purposely make people wait while they do their make up and hangout in their cubicles, they act annoyed and uneducated when interacting with you. They seem to hate their job.

    My daughter was seen Aug 26th 2022. Her prescription was supposed to have been put in the same day. It is now Sept 28th and after SEVERAL phone calls a week and even switching pharmacies (we thought the pharmacy was the problem) - we still don't have her prescription. Michael, the nurse, has been amazingly wonderful trying to help but what in the world is actually going on? It should not take over a month to get a prescription put in properly. Among various other atrocities I have experienced at this clinic, I would not recommend this place to anyone at this point.

    I would rate zero stars if I could. This place is full of lazy people who don’t pay attention. I have been misdiagnosed and prescribed wrong medications. And said they ran test that they didn’t. Took my daughter here for an emergency and never will come back again as it was another horrible experience. Do not come here if you care about your health.

    I’ve been very happy with the care that I’ve received here. The staff is always very friendly and helpful with my needs, and my doctor is top notch - she’s really listened to all my concerns. The wait time for my first appointment was a couple months out, but it was definitely worth the wait. So happy to have found a primary care doctor in my area like this one - definitely would recommend.

    Would give zero stars. Went here for ob / prenatal healthcare, they couldn't get me in for an ultrasound until 6 months... way past 18 weeks for an anatomy scan. Norma Lopez was my obgyn and literally all she ever did was listen to my babys heart rate, completely disregarded my concern for needing a csection. Denver health is terrible... switch your medicaid and go somewhere else. I just switched doctors and should have done so MONTHS AGO. This place is trash and a complete JOKE.

    P.A Amy Grubert completely lacks kindness and compassion. Has no tact and comes off very mean (while seeing her she kept saying “I’m not trying to be mean, but...”). You can have all the educational degrees in the world and be extremely knowledgeable but being a kind human being rises above all of these. When coming to a doctor’s appt you clearly aren’t at your best so it’s important that your doctor doesn’t make you feel worse by the end of your appt. very unfortunate!

    Contacted patient advocacy center after battling a bill for over a year. They left a message with my wife that I need to call them. I’ve called 5 times since March no one has returned my calls. I can’t get a live person. They billed the wrong age so insurance didn’t cover it, unfortunately I paid it before understanding it was their error and now I’ve only been told it’s too old too do anything, even though I’ve started the appeal 2 months after it was billed.

    The enrollment office is very unprofessional!! Went to the office today to re enroll for our medicaid program and when I got to the office the front desk clerk told us that they were heading to lunch (it was 12:10 pm) and that they'd be back at 1pm. We killed time and returned at 12:55pm to see a sign saying they'd be back at 1:30. When they got back, which was 5 mins after the sign said, they told these other customers they can come in first when everyone saw that my boyfriend and I were standing there first. Just for them to announce that they are closing in an hour and can only help two people for sure and could try to get to others if they decide to wait. That office is pointless.

    By far the worst urgent care I’ve ever been to in my life. Sent my daughter home with appendicitis and she almost died because her appendix ruptured. Sent my other kid home with a broken hand in a splint and said someone would follow up no one followed up my kid ended up having to have surgery. Save yourself time and money and do not go to this clinic.

    The amount of problems caused by the staff cannot be described. Me and my daughter had gone to this clinic to get a renewal in her savings for her Medicare. We where there for about 3 hours without being noticed while other people would go ahead and be attended before us. Noticed the same theme with a couple of other women being skipped in line as we where all there for at least 3 or 4 hours. Overall the lady at the desk was unprofessional as she didn’t make the situation any better, as she just argued with a couple of women and seemed to make the situation worse. Would not recommend this place at least for renewals.

    Risas is literally the worst dentist I have been to by far! There has not been a single appointment where I’ve left satisfied with what is done with my braces . Their dental assistants are high incompetent mostly because they hire without experience or schooling ! They’ve never once explained to me any procedures they just walk in to do them ! Today during my visit the power went out and the dental assistant continued to work without a light causing her to hurt my gums and felt like she really couldn’t see! Instead of the orthodontists coming in to help and reassure patients everything was fine they all gathered at the front and took a picture like everything was fine posting it on social media showing everyone their power was off and one of the doctors screamed “it happens all the time here “ waiting for my braces treatment to be over and will never again step foot in a risas !

    I'd like to give 4½ stars honestly, everything is really great here, I've been to all of the services here, dental, urgent care, primary care, labs, etc., and I've never had a problem here except... with the reception/check-in staff. It's a 50/50 shot you're going to get someone who's pleasantly nice, but the other times you get someone with a genuinely condescending tone that makes you feel stupid, and like you may inconvenienced their day by literally doing their jobs. The very last girl I encountered kept cutting me off and doing that over-exaggerated nice smile and talking louder than necessary like sharp, "okays" "Here ya go" and "You're all set", just really trying to hustle me out of the door. It was very off-putting and left me in an unbecoming mood. I try not to think this way but maybe it was because I was in a hijab, some people do just treat me rudely because I'm Muslim. But medical support staff should be used to seeing all kinds of people. They need to retrain those girls.

    I Was 10 mins late to my appointment and they said they couldn’t see me. Never been late to any other appointment before but supposedly the rule is if your more than 15 minutes late they can’t see you. Understandable but I was still in the 15 minute window. I really don’t understand when every time I go for my appointment they don’t call me back until atleast 20mintues after. Horrible customer service will not return to this office again.

    Excellent service. I was very impressed given the average ratings. Everyone was kind polite and professional. The pediatrician gave my kids the most thorough check up I've ever experienced. Wasn't rushed at all

    I came in this clinic having a very bad asthma attack there is nothing urgent about this place and the front desk women is very rude and non understanding i will never come here or suggest anyone else to this place is ridiculous and unorganized

    Amy Grubert, PA is AMAZING! She ALWAYS goes above and beyond for me. She takes the time to really listen, to delve into not just my medical problems, but also check in on how I’m doing in my personal life. She truly cares about treating me as a person, and not just a patient. She responds quickly when I reach out with problems, or questions, and she really makes me feel like she’s treating me exactly how she’d treat a family member. I could not ask for a better PCP! Thank you, Amy!

    today my mom went in for a diabetes check up. she was told that a nurse would help her with a insulin pen and no one came to help, she was told to go to the pharmacist and the pharmacist was a young blonde woman who told her to watch a youtube video on how to administer her insulin pen because she didn’t want to open up my moms insulin to demonstrate how to use it. under no circumstances she should’ve never told my mom to watch a youtube video when it is her job to perform a demonstration when a patient needs one. my mom has so much questions.

    I was diagnosed with MRSA Cellulitis in Nicaragua as a medical emergency. Doctors wanted to drive me to Granada Hospital. (Very bad care...no 24 hour nursing staff). I nearly died there with an Asthma attack.I applied for an appointment with my Denver Health doctor. I forwarded the diagnosis. 3 week wait for a Medical Emergency that can take a deadly turn any minute.

    The ladies from the enrollment program center only take around 5-6 people a day! Others and myself were told that they are not taking any more people for renewal of a enrollment at 8am, when only 5 people sign up. It is ridiculous how these gals refuse to do their job.

    I had a bad experience about the dental service in this location. In the last four months, the staff in the dental office they canceled my appointment 4 times and they told me that the doctor or the person supposed to do service for me on that day were unavailable and they don’t reschedule for me get an x-ray for check up. Until in October I had an x-ray appointment. I thought after the x-ray they had a plan for me to come back for deep clean or filling. The dental doctor didn’t mention anything with me. They scheduled for December, 23 and December, 27 for cleaning. The day before my appointment they canceled my appointment again without my knowledge and I don’t know why. I called in and check they told the staff or dental hygiene was not there and they rescheduled appointment for me in march of 2023. I was so sad because this situation never happened with me before in my life. Hopefully they are not going to cancel my appointment in match again. It’s been almost 7 months im still waiting for the service but still don’t get it. If I you give me an appointment . I’m expecting a service from you. Thanh you

    The adult/pediatric clinic is great but the WIC clinic is the most unprofessional, unorganized and frankly just a joke of a clinic. Today will be the third time I have had to talk to a supervisor. I would advise to not go through this clinic for your wic services, i will be changing the clinic I go to for my wic for sure! Don’t waste your time here they are terrible!

    Been here for the first time and it was honestly a great visit. Everythings more up to date and modern. I really like my new doctor who is upbeat, personable and funny. They sent me home with a paper which basically has all the instruction and summary to my visit, which I like because I usually end up going home forgetting what happened at my doctor visit.

    Attention attention I recommend that you DO NOT GO to this clinic in Peña, the people at the reception are very despotic, I have had very unpleasant behavior from them as if the clinic belonged to them and I asked for a manager and she came out just as dishonest and good for nothing.     My original review was one star and is in quotes below. I am now posting five stars because the clinic took the time to call me and assure me that changes are being made. That means a lot to me. Also, when we were finally seen by the nurse I have to convey that the care was thorough and thoughtful and for that I am appreciative. It is really terrible that my daughter did catch a cold from the other patients, and that is dangerous and needs to change, but it is not being ignored. "The urgent care clinic is a nightmare. 4 hours of waiting in a tiny room with dozens of sick people hacking and sneezing on you. My little girl left far sicker than when we arrived. Infuriating."

    My baby was given the wrong vaccines. The nurse put down on record that she gave her more than what she actually recieved because I counted when they were given. Long story short, staff had no way of knowing which vaccines were actually given. This is the nurse's fault, although her pediatrician is awesome. Daughter had to be vaccinated twice. I like everything else but the male at the front desk in the Urgent Care is rude. It must be his demeanour because it's the same rude treatment everytime and with other patient's as well.

    Great place has everything you need, dental, pharmacy, urgent care, eye clinic, family clinic, Xrays, and enrollment services. Very nice interior design with a huge waiting room. I have really enjoyed my services here, all the staff is great. Highly recommend Dr. Gutierrez in the dental clinic, she is very kind and takes care of you as the top priority.

    I recently had my fourth visit to this health center, I love it! The people who I've dealt with have been very friendly and helpful. I had to get a new doctor because my former doctor moved out of state. My new Dr. is FANTASTIC and very friendly. I'm looking forward to using the dental and eye clinic as well. I just wish they had a womans care clinic so I dont have to travel all the way downtown. The location of this health center is literally 3 minutes(by car) from my house. Today I'll be dealing with their pharmacy, I hope it will also be a good experience. So far, I give them a, A+ 😊

    Went in to have my legs check because they been hurting and it hurts to walk .legs where swelling when I got there and the stupid quack didn't even look at them he was to worried about something that happen in 2004 and took blood and sent me away don't know if any of the quacks in Denver health care about people but this one don't looks like I will be finding another Dr soon

    As usual, the Pharmacists and their cashier-assistants were friendly and helpful! They are always willing to answer any questions. They have even extended their hours to close at 9pm Monday - Friday. The walk-in clinic closes at 8pm, so that makes it even more perfect. - Thank You!!!

    This is where I learned what bad Healthcare looks like. Prescribed medications that had serious side effects for people with my condition. My PA was aware that I had these conditions and still prescribed me something that sent me to the emergency department. Even on a less serious visit for my wife we received vague and unhelpful answers.

    Update: I could not be happier with the actual services provided at this office but I have to change my initial 2019 5-star post to 1-star, (should be 0 star) based on the HORRIBLE customer service when it comes to BILLING DEPT. I have 3 bills, from three different visits, and 2 of the 3 have one billing code, which is correctly used rendering $0 charge based on my covered insurance services. The other bill has a different/wrong code used and caused me a charge. I have called their billing/customer service department every month since the initial bill in November of 2022 to correct. I have been told every time that I needed to speak to a supervisor, and that a supervisor would call me back and that my account was on hold until resolved. Denver Health sent my bill to collections 4 months in, even though every time I called they said the account was on hold, and still NO ONE would call me back. I finally today, 8 months later, sat on hold for an hour to speak to a supervisor. Maria told me my doctor wrote the visit up intentionally and that different codes should be used for the exact same line item, incurring me a cost when my insurance/premiums cover that service in full. I will not do business with a illogical company which is sad because the office itself and it's health providers are lovely. I won't live thru this experience and epic waste of my time in the event that this could easily happen again in the future. Denver Health - you have lost what would have been a live-long patient (which I clearly told Maria and she was ok with it.) (previous post from 2019) In 15 years I've had three primary care doctors in three states and my doctor and this facility can't be topped. From the very friendly and helpful front desk gals, to the nurses who take you back...I can't say enough good stuff. I actually look forward to my annual physicals so I can catch up with them!

When I tried to schedule the follow-up appointment requested by the PA, I was told they couldn't schedule any further than a month out and I'd have to call a month before the appointment (how did they schedule 2 months ahead the first time??). The care is rushed and impersonal. Just a rapid fire of "agree/disagree" survey questions. They double billed my insurance for a "45-60 minute appointment" even though they intentionally cut my appointment short (about 20 mins), then met me with attitude when I called to question this. By far the worst experience I've had at any clinic. Nothing but disappointment, frustration and inconvenience.

    I usually like going here but lately they have been slacking. I called to make an appointment 3 different times on 3 different days I was on hold from 1 hour to 2 hours no one ever picked up. Appointments are scheduled so far out and the doctors are always on "leave for vacation" or a day off and schedule the appointment farther out. It is very unfortunate and sad I am thinking of switching to a better clinic (update) my best friend is having some serious health problems and she has gone multiple times and they don't know what's wrong with her and today she had an appointment to see if she needs a neurologist and they canceled her appointment and rescheduled her a month out it is absolutely unbelievable I will not be going here anytime soon and my friend will look for a new clinic I do not recommend this place to anyone

    I have figured it out….this clinic is only in it for the money. Doesn’t matter that it took seven weeks to get an appointment. It doesn’t matter that I have been waiting 10 days for the results of an x-ray. It doesn’t matter that I’ve left a message after message that has never been returned. It doesn’t matter that the front desk gals have about as much enthusiasm and willingness to help as my sleeping cat. They don’t care about me they care about my money. ***follow-up*** I too got your boilerplate response to contact your “patient advocate .” Everyone who works at the clinic should be patient advocates. How hard is it to return a call? How hard is it to look at a foot x-ray and call me? How hard is it to look for options instead of saying “that’s how we do it.” How hard is it to share your name and show some empathy that a person feels cruddy and you are here to help? How hard is it to find a doctor with 15 minutes for an appointment? Frustrating.
