Bentgate has exceptional customer service. They're also extremely friendly and do good work. I especially appreciate the personal touch when it comes to making the customer happy. Alex is amazing, his climbing knowledge is extensive. He obviously very passionate. Alex spent a hour with me making sure I got the correct fitting shoes. I was so happy with my experience when my family flew in from New Zealand we all went back and had him fit us for new shoes and harness. Cheers mate

The staff is very thorough, professional, and know their industry well. Every one I spoke with on several visits took the time to explain to me various equipment and gear options for both AT and Alpine skiing. Came in for AT gear and ended getting boots, AT and Alpine skis and bindings. Matt with custom boot fitting was awesome! Highly recommend Bentgate!

Bought uphill ski equipment from here - new boots and demo skis. Customer service is what makes this store so amazing. My husband and I both had Alex as our boot fitter and would highly recommend him. He knows his stuff, took his time with us and made great recommendations. Also, just an all-around super nice and fun guy. If you go to Bentgate for gear, make sure you request Alex as your fitter.

Alex was awesome. I’ve been in this store half a dozen times and didn’t even know they have a downstairs boot fitting area. Alex ultimately helped me sift through all the boot options. I am a novice on equipment and asked a lot of questions and he answered them patiently, politely and professionally. Definitely a great local shop!

What a fantastic place. I’ve been there 4 times in the past two weeks, first to get an amazing deal on touring skis / skins during their demo deal, then for a boot purchase appt, then to get my boots fitted, and then to pick up my skis with adjusted bindings. Each time everyone was super friendly and helpful (both to me and to my golden retriever pup, who they welcomed with open arms!) This will be my go-to spot for all things mountaineering in the foothills area!

Alex T did a fantastic job. I purchased two backpacks, skis, bindings, and boots here. I’m a beginner but Alex was very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a good selection of products and fantastic service. I will be returning here for other gear needs. In the spring time they also have good discounts on gear.

Bentgate is my favorite ski shop around. I drive a half hour to get my skis and boots worked on there even though there are plenty of shops close by. They've done some pretty niche tech binding mounts that other shops didn't want to touch. They always do an excellent job, have great attitudes and get the job done fairly quickly. Couldn't recommend more.

I came in to be fit for some AT ski boots and Alex T was amazing! He was incredibly thorough in his measuring and listening to truly get an idea of what the best fit would be for my feet and for my goals out in the mountains. I left confident in which boots are the best for me and will definitely be back in the future.

Brought my skis in for a tuneup. The gal behind the desk was so friendly and helpful. I watched her with other customers and she gives them her undivided attention and is always cheerful. Quick service overall and the tune job on the skis was great. The service and work at Bent Gate far surpasses the big box stores. Keep it up!

I’ve worked in a ski shop fitting and molding boots before. Now I work professionally on my skis. Alex went above and beyond with his attention to detail and knowledge. He molded custom insoles, addressed my concerns and fit me to the right pair of boots. I will be sending clients and colleagues his way from now on.

My fiancé was interested in getting new ski boots. As a snowboarder I was not able to give much advice. The employees at Bentgate were able to walk her through all of her options and help find the best boots for her. They also heat molded the boots and were very knowledgeable about getting a perfect fit. Overall left very happy with the experience and the purchase 10/10 would recommend.

I was referred to Bent Gate by a friend and I am thankful. The people were so very courteous and helpful. We needed skis waxed, bindings put on and adjusted. Ended up getting a boot fitting too. Pricing was great and everything was done in a few days. Super excited to have such a great local shop!

Matt did an awesome job and after many years and tries, I finally have boots that fit and way better ski control. When I showed up, he had already read my notes and had the boots ready to go. I also had to get my skiis remounted and I very much appreciated the great and last minute help with those so I could go ski this weekend. Went for a boot fitting for my first touring boots and to get some bindings (re)mounted to fit the new boots. First, everyone was super nice and helpful. I made it abundantly clear that this was my first setup and still, they all treated me well and with respect. Alex did a great job with my boot fitting as well. He helped narrow down their extensive selection down to a few boot models, including the model I was interested in. I tried on 4 different models, I did some laps of the stairs, we reviewed all of the potential issues with each of the models, he answered all of my questions and then some, and I walked out feeling confident with the pair that I picked out - Dynafit Radicals. I am super pumped to get out there. Greg in the shop was also super helpful setting me up with a remount, and set clear expectations on service and timing this busy season. Overall, I am very happy with my experience. They'll be getting more of my money just as soon as I make more of it....

Went to get my bindings mounted on my skis. Alex I believe was his name was very knowledgeable on binding release settings and placement of the bindings and was super friendly. Also they finished earlier than they told me to plan for which is always a plus. They really know what they’re doing, do it well and for a very competitive price. Would definitely recommend.

Bentgate has been a favorite of mine for many years and is part of why our family relocated from Denver to Golden. I purchased Icelantic Scouts for 2 of my sons and bought boots for them at Bentgate. They didn’t have the right bindings for their light weights and recommended a pair elsewhere. I brought the bindings back and had them mount for me. They’re very busy this time of year but accommodated my schedule needs for the boys’ upcoming ski trip w their friends. Helpful and knowledgeable team at Bentgate. They’ll get you in the right gear for you!

Alex did a great job fitting me for my ski boots! He spent quite some time educating me about ski boots and ski bindings, and I must say the depth of his knowledge is quite impressive. 10/10 Would recommend to any friend, really anyone who interested in buying skis, boots, or bindings.

I had a pretty bad experience today with one of the employees who I believe works with boot fitting. My husband & I were in town & stopped by to look at this seasons ski equipment (we’re advised skiers). I saw a ski boot I’ve been wanting to try & asked if the employee minded if I could just try it without a boot fitting since I was already here & the display was my size. Instantly he was rude about not having a boot fitting (fine, it was simple question. I understand the protocol) nonetheless he let me try it on but proceeded to talk down to me like I had no idea how to put on a ski boot or had any idea if my size was correct, & when he measured my feet & realized I was right he said “wow, you’re actually right”. While putting on the boot & trying it’s walk mode function he continued to berate me about how I was putting it on & testing the boot. Overall, loved the boot & wanted to purchase them but because of my experience I will be going elsewhere because I don’t want to support a business that hires misogynistic employees.

Excellent selection of equipment to make spending time in the mountains fun. Surprisingly good pricing, I bought ski boots for $100 less than Evo’s sale price. Very knowledgeable staff, and they’ll be able to get you set up for whatever adventures you have in mind.
