Vakeshwar Nath Temple is a very ancient temple. Which preserves the Hindu culture. Its artwork is incredible and amazing. The atmosphere here is worth seeing. The atmosphere here is giving peace of mind. There are a lot of bael trees here. There is also a Gaurikund temple nearby. It is believed that Goddess Parvati did penance to marry Lord Shiva.

Before entering the temple my intention was take some photos and leave .But after entering there I felt a different thing. I'm a guy from kerala so I don't know what God is there and how to pray what are the rituals so I don't spend much time in temples. But I got a different feeling from here I sat there for a while , I prayed. I believe there is some positive power around the temple. The temple is located inside a jungle. If you are visiting Haridwar , I suggest just go here also. There are lot of monkeys and you can feel the calmness of the jungle. You can get auto from any where of the Haridwar. I just walked from railway station, it took almost 35 minutes to reach here. Best time to visit morning. Check my photos and videos for the clarification.

An ancient Bhagwan Shiv ( Lord Shiva) Temple situated amongst the Bilv trees. It is believed that Mata Parvati (Goddess Parvati) prayed here for many years to get married to Shivji. Shivji provided her shelter in the form of a Bilv tree. Located a couple of hundred metres ahead from the main temple is the 'Gauri Kund' where it is believed that Mata Parvati used to take bath. The temple complex has idols of Shiv parivar, Hanumanji and navgrah too. It also has nearby temples with Shivlings too. The main temple has Aarti (prayers) twice a day i.e. Morning 5 am and Evening at 7pm. The place, nestled in the forest, offers solitude. A large number of devotees visit it in Month of Sawan (Shrawan Maas) and on Mahashivratri.

The ancient Bhagwan Shiv (Lord Shiva) Temple is nestled amidst Bilv trees. Legend has it that Mata Parvati (Goddess Parvati) prayed here for many years to marry Shivji, who provided her shelter in the form of a Bilv tree. A short distance away from the main temple is the 'Gauri Kund,' where it is believed that Mata Parvati used to bathe. Within the temple complex, you will find idols of Shiv Parivar, Hanumanji, and Navgrah, as well as nearby temples with Shivlings. The main temple holds Aarti (prayers) twice a day, at 5 am in the morning and 7 pm in the evening. Surrounded by the forest, the place offers a serene and tranquil environment, making it ideal for seeking solitude and spiritual connection. During the month of Sawan (Shrawan Maas) and on Mahashivratri, a large number of devotees visit this sacred place to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati.

Sri Bilkeshwar Mahadev Mandir is situated in the valley of Bilva Parvat in Haridwar. This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and his Consort Goddess Parvati. According to mythology, the temple is the place where Goddess Parvati worshiped Shiva, and when Shiva appeared she asked him to accept her as his wife. Bilva is a tree which is quite sacred to Hindus. Its leaves represent the three eyes of Lord Shiva. This ancient temple is very popular among the local people. The temple is surrounded by woods in a hilly area. It is a small temple which houses a Shiva linga and Nandi made out of stone. The place also houses small temples for Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman and Goddess Parvati. It is a tradition to offer Bilva leaves to Lord Shiva and to do abhishek of the Shiva lingam with the water of River Ganga.

Bilkeshwar mahadev mandir in haridwar is an ancient temple with tremendous holy significance for hindus. It is believed that parvathi ji did a very long penance( tapasya) here and just by consuming bel patra (leaves of bel tree) hence the name of the temple. There is also temple of ancient gauri kund at a walking distance within the temple premises where gauri maa used to bathe, the water of the kund is very auspicious. It is advisable to visit the temple during daylight only as there is a minor issue of wild animals in the vicinity during evening hours.

A very important place as per Indic religious mythology. It was here ,near the Parvati Kund that Sati did great "Tapasya" for the love of Shiva. The place is surrounded by pristine woods of Shivalik ranges. A quiet and peaceful place thats will bring tranquility to both heart and mind

Place with such positive energy. We enjoyed sitting here for a while to meditate. Also witnessed the Abhishek being carried out by one of the families. This is a must visit place if you are coming to Haridwar. Also the big bell at the entrance has such powerful sounds. The vibrations can be heard almost for a minute or more.

Bilvakeshwar Mahadev is peaceful place in Haridwar, away from the usual hustle bustle of city. Near by is Gauri Kund, walkable distance, passing through jungle. Aged and disabled may find it difficult to walk while wheelchair accessibility is not upto mark. Beware of monkeys who can snatch your belongings, especially any food items, if you carry in hands. Pooja flowers, garland, bilva patra is available outside the temple. Saints at temple are very cordial. Early evenings or early mornings could be preferred time to visit the place.

A beautiful temple of lord shiva situated in the lap of mountains. A must visit as travellers who come to Haridwar usually don't visit here. Photography inside the temple isn't allowed, so here's a glimpse of how the surrounding looks like. Calm, ambient and peaceful!

Peaceful place, apt for meditation. During spring season the river flows nearby but in summers it's usually dried up. This is the place where Goddes parvati meditated for years as Sati to marry Lord Shiva.
