An amazing place for moderate level trekking. Full of wide variety of flora with picturesque mountains. One can enjoy Both a solo or group travel. Best time to vist will be from end of July to August. PS- carry raincoat or something always. Also don't pluck any flowers, some of them are endangered species.

This was the most amazing trek of my life till now. The beauty of Valley is mesmerising. July August and September are the recommended months to visit the place as the valley is in full blossom in these months. You are advised to carry a raincoat with you, as the weather of the valley changes frequently. It is recommended to go to the river bed, which is around 4km from the starting point of the Valley Of Flower. Don't carry extra drinking water with you as there are many freshwater streams form where you can fill your water bottles and consume them directly.

A must do trek in India :) don’t forget to go till the end. Most of the paid group treks takes you only to half. I’d say don’t take the paid ones, do it yourself ☺️🥾💚

It was truly an amazing trekking experience. Must visit place in India. We can see flowers in all shapes and sizes, but what makes them truly stand apart from each other is their vibrant colors. We saw more than 60 different species throughout the Valley of Flowers National park. I still can’t get enough of the view ❤️

Being a mountain lover, I decided to take up the challenge of this beautiful trek. It is basically a 4-Day monsoon trek (Mid June - Mid Sept) where you stay at Ghangaria for 3 nights. Out of the 4 days, you have to trek for 2 days to go to and fro to Ghangaria from Govindghat which is ~9.5 km each side. In the remaining 2 days , you visit the Valley of Flowers 1 day (~9 km to and fro) and Hemkund Sahib on the 2nd (~12 km to and fro). The initial hour of the trek is a normal route through the forest and that's where you start seeing glimpses of what's in store in the Valley - numerous varieties of flowers that you've never seen before. There is a small river crossing after which you will start the actual climb towards the Valley. It takes about 3 - 3.5 hours to reach the valley, but you would have already seen a lot of colourful varieties by then. Make yourself comfortable on one of the rocks and enjoy the mesmerizing views of the far stretched flowers and distant snow covered mountains. I was able to click 50+ species of flowers which was incredible. You'll immediately forget your fatigue and get rejuvenated by this spectacle. This was an experience to savor for lifetime.

The Valley of Flowers was like a magical garden in the mountains, full of beautiful flowers and adventure. First, I went on a fun hike through meadows and streams. The air was so fresh, and I saw so many pretty things along the way. When I got to the valley, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was like a rainbow of flowers everywhere. Red, blue, purple, you name it! It felt like I was in a fairy tale. I also saw cool birds and butterflies flying around. It was like a party of nature. As I walked around, I felt super calm and happy. The valley made me appreciate how amazing our world is. When I left, I felt so lucky to have seen such a special place. If you love nature, you have to visit the Valley of Flowers. It's like a dream come true.

Valley of Flowers National Park in India was nothing short of a dream come true. This hidden gem nestled in the western Himalayas is a botanical wonderland that left me in awe of the natural world's beauty and diversity. As I embarked on the trek to the valley, I was immediately struck by the breathtaking vistas that surrounded me. Towering snow-capped peaks, lush green meadows, and pristine streams provided a stunning backdrop to this enchanting journey. The journey itself is an adventure, and every step is a revelation of the park's unparalleled beauty. Upon entering the valley, I was greeted by an explosion of colors. The meadows were adorned with a mesmerizing array of wildflowers, each more vibrant and unique than the last. From the iconic blue poppies to the delicate primulas and myriad other floral species, it felt like stepping into a world straight out of a fairytale.

Saying it's beautiful is an understatement here. It's really very beautiful place. I would recommend hiring a pitthu in case you are having difficulty in breathing while climbing up from Ghangaria. They are usually available at the starting point of the trek in Ghangaria. Do not visit after the month of August as most of the flowers are gone by mid August.

This trek is absolutely beautiful. Laden with flowers and waterfalls through out. The terrain in narrow, and gets a bit Rocky and steep, so make sure to wear shoes with a good grip. Best time to visit is the first two weeks of August. Weather may change rapidly, so be prepared for that.

One of the most beautiful scenic views I have seen so far. From rocky to snow covered to green meadows, waterfalls, beautiful bunch of flowers all can be found in a single place. The place was well maintained. Things to note: - Carry a bin bag for your waste, dust bins are not there - Toilets are not present in between - Drones and speakers are prohibited - Lighter, match box and cigarettes are prohibited inside the premises

The Valley of Flowers is a national park located in the upper reaches of the Himalayas, in the state of Uttarakhand is a must visit tourist place in India. The park is a true paradise for botanists and anybody else who loves the glory of nature. It stands true to its name, with several species of exotic flowers to be seen here. While for the most part the valley remains covered with snow, during the summer months, it comes alive with a riot of colors which makes it one of the most beautiful places in India. Expectedly, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But you need to cover a slightly difficult trek in order to feel the bliss of this national park.

Valley of Flowers National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. Here's an overview of this enchanting destination: Situated in the Western Himalayas, the Valley of Flowers is nestled in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. It is part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve and lies at an altitude ranging from 3,200 meters to 6,675 meters above sea level. The Valley of Flowers is renowned for its stunning alpine meadows adorned with a myriad of colorful flowers. It is home to over 650 species of flowering plants, including rare and endemic species like the Brahma Kamal (Saussurea obvallata). The park also supports a diverse range of fauna, including Himalayan black bears, snow leopards, musk deer, and numerous bird species. The valley is characterized by its breathtaking natural beauty, with snow-capped peaks, cascading waterfalls, glistening streams, and verdant meadows carpeted with flowers. The landscape undergoes a remarkable transformation during the monsoon season, as the flowers bloom in a riot of colors, painting the valley with hues of blue, purple, yellow, and red. The Valley of Flowers is a popular trekking destination, attracting adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers from around the world. The trek to the valley usually starts from the village of Govindghat and involves traversing rugged terrain, dense forests, and narrow trails. The trek offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, India's second-highest mountain. The Valley of Flowers is accessible only during the summer months, from June to October, as heavy snowfall blocks access to the valley during the rest of the year. The nearest town is Joshimath, which serves as the base camp for trekkers and tourists visiting the region. The Valley of Flowers National Park is dedicated to the conservation and protection of its unique biodiversity. It is governed by strict regulations to preserve its fragile ecosystem, and visitors are required to obtain permits from the forest department before entering the park. In addition to its natural beauty, the Valley of Flowers holds spiritual significance for the local indigenous communities, who consider it a sacred place imbued with divine energy and mysticism. Visiting the Valley of Flowers offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the pristine beauty of nature, explore its rich biodiversity, and experience a sense of wonder and tranquility amidst the Himalayan wilderness.

A magical places located high up in the mountains at an estimated elevation of 14000 fts. The silence at these places is magical and you get away from the cacophony of the cities. Valley of flowers is famous for the blooming of flowers which happen around August and transforms into a mystical places with flowers all around. Valley of flowers is around 5 kms of trek from Ghangaria. Ghangaria can be reached from Gobind Ghat by trekking for around 10-11 kms. You can also avail the services of horses. There are many hotels and restaurants available at Ghangaria, so accommodation and flooding would not be a issue. Entry fees is around ₹200. I visited in October but the best season to visit is August and September.

Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian national park which was established in 1982. It is located in Chamoli in the state of Uttarakhand and is known for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and the variety of flora. This richly diverse area is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, musk deer, brown bear, red fox and blue sheep. Nanda Devi National Park Reserve is in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves. The park is open only during summer from June to October and it is covered by heavy snow for the rest of the year.

It's nothing less than heaven. Unlimited nature beauty. Countless waterfall and Flowers. 600+ varieties of flowers and plants. The Memorial of Joan Margret is also there. Everyone says it's a trek of 4km but if u are planning to visit till the end of the valley then add 4km to it. It's not a hard trek only after the river cross there is an inclined trek of 30-40min otherwise it's all plain.

Best time for visit here is July and August With a stunning backdrop of the mighty Himalayan ranges, the Valley of Flowers National Park presents an ethereal view and an unforgettable experience for visitors. Spread over an area of 87 sq km in the Chamoli district, the Valley of Flowers National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and forms one of the two core zones (the other being the Nanda Devi National Park) of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. The valley is believed to have been discovered in 1931, when three British mountaineers – led by Frank S Smythe – lost their way and chanced upon this spectacular valley. Attracted by the beauty of this place they named it the “Valley of Flowers”. As the name suggests, Valley of Flowers is a destination where nature blooms in full glory offering a breathtaking experience. Exotic flowers (over 600 species) like orchids, poppies, primulas, marigold, daisies and anemones are an eye-catching spectacle. Sub-alpine forests birch and rhododendron cover parts of the park's area. The trek to the valley offers eye-catching spectacles like cascading waterfalls and wild streams. Situated at an altitude of around 3,600 m above the sea level, the valley is also home to such rare and amazing wildlife species like the gray langur, the flying squirrel, the Himalayan weasel, and black bear, the red fox, the lime butterfly, the snow leopard and Himalayan monal, to name a few.

This was my first trek and it was beautiful. 😇😊 We went in the month of July. It is an easy to moderate trek, good for beginners. The trek to the ‘Valley of a flowers’ is a stone paved path. You can see beautiful mountains all around. The views are mesmerising. Along the way, you can hear the sound of the river flowing. Being amidst the nature just makes you feel so serene. 😌 The path is quite narrow as you start climbing up. But the scenery once you reach the valley is all worth it! 🤩 Overall it was a great experience and I just loved it.

The place is heavenly and surprisingly gorgeous than one can imagine. The trek is moderate with an initial 1.5 km being easily walkable followed by 2 km of steep hike on a rocky terrain and last half km to 1 being straight walk again as descent to the plains. Once you enter from the beautifully crafted Forest Post entrance paying INR 150 per person with 3-4 boards of painted information including a map, list of species with broad areas, the trail and large large cutout of flower names with pictures the scenery starts getting marvelous. The entrance timings allowed are from 7 AM to 12 noon only. With kids and women this ideally becomes even more stringent as one has to return back by 5 or maximum 6 PM before it starts getting dark and cold. The initial trail of around 1.5 Kms is easy , leafy and gorgeous till Dwari bridge. First glacier is crossed right after the entrance with moderate inclination building up to Dwari on Pushpawati river. The scene from Dwari is picturesque beyond imagination when first glimpse of valley can be seen. The gushing sound and roaring water of Pushpawati at Dwari is a timeless memory. It is interesting to observe a variety of honey bees, nectar bees along with small flowers of yellow, pink, white flat rose and red even in early June with at least 10-15 species evident even till Dwari. After the bridge real trek starts and this steep climb of 2 Kms raises the height from 3000 mts at the entrance or base of Ghangria to 3400 mts above sea level. The way paved is rocky and needs to tracked carefully with moderate efforts. The views of course start getting clear of the green valley of 87.5 sq km amidst the steep climb. What is also interesting is when looking towards East one can see the trek to Hemkund specially the last 2 Kms of same as lines on snow mountain from this part of Valley. After the climb comes another glacier from where little decent starts. This relatively easier trek continues to Bhamandhaur where there is a wooden bridge with aluminium roof sheet on a gushing stream named Khunt Khaul River originating from the Himalayan mountain above with paradise flow. Here one finds a milestone mentioning welcome to VoF NP and from here the trail is simpler with curves and flowers all around. We would have easily got another 10 species as colour riot after the Bhamandhaur cave or resting point. We went to the glacier after this point to at least a km or more and found Brahm Kamal as well in early June. This trek is gateway to Heaven and had elevated the respect for Himalayas, Dev Bhoomi Uttrakhand and our Incredible India even more. We need to extremely responsible to take care of this UNESCO World Heritage national park and one of its kind in the world.

First let me tell you this is not an easy trekking. Vally is beautiful but the whole road is full of stones and some of are watery. After entering 4km part is ascending which is quite difficult. But full valley is so beautiful and I request to everyone maintain the beauty of valley don’t pluck flowers, don’t throw chocolate wrappers pls. I saw some people are running while descending and also don't use trekking pole which is very bad and sometimes it’s risky also because I saw suddenly one boy running behind me and passed so quickly. I just say Don't hurry during trekking enjoy your life and trekking journey there's no competition. In my opinion you have to be trek fit for this trek. Vally of flowers is my Frist trek and am so lucky to to have a great team the whole team is pushing each other whole treak. Am successfully completed my trek🌸

It is a national biosphere reserve where flowers grow naturally and it is expected to be clean but many a people bring things to eat water/ soft drinks to drink and they do not carry their waste back with themselves. That is an inappropriate behaviour. The people are clearly instructed on entry to bring back each and everything they carry but they don't obey. As of now the valley is minutely polluted but if things stay the way they are we are going to end up polluting the whole ecosystem of the valley.

Awesome place for tourists.Bestowed with the rare and exotic Himalayan flora, the valley of flowers is a bouquet of nature peacefully snuggled in the West Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. The trek of Valley of flowers goes through dense forests, along with Pushpawati river and can be reached by crossing many bridges, glaciers and water falls on the way. This glaring piece of nature is an Indian National Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site exhibiting plush meadows blossomed with endemic alpine flowers and diverse fauna in this valley.

The trek will start from ghangria ( basecamp) and after 300m of trekking you'll reach the diversion point for the valley of flower and Sri hemkund sahib. From that point valley of flowers trek is of 4kms and there is an entry fee of Rupees 150 which you have to pay at the forest department check post and the entrance time is between 7AM to 12 noon. My visit to the Valley of Flowers in July 2019 was nothing short of magical. As I ventured into this picturesque utopia, I was greeted by a kaleidoscope of vibrant flowers, painting the landscape with a riot of colors. The serenity that enveloped the valley was truly awe-inspiring, offering a much-needed respite from the chaos of the outside world. Valley of Flowers National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The valley is so beautiful and charming. The Valley of flowers trek starts from Pulna. 10 kms trek from Pulna to Ghangaria. Then another 4kms from Ghangaria to the valley. The difficulty level of the trek to Valley of flowers is moderate. Always remember to stay hydrated. You have to be working out a bit daily to complete the trek successfully. Because the view is breathtaking...not just the top view when you reach the valley...but also the trekking path... There are a lot of streams on the way from where you can fill your bottles with water. Not to worry, the streams are pure. And when you reach the top, make sure you visit Legge's grave too. The view from there is also mind blowing. Remember to not pluck any flowers. Love nature and preserve it❤️❤️❤️ PS: You can find lichens during the trek. If you find lichens(symbiotic relationship between fungus and algae/cyanobacteria) in an area, it indicates that the area is pollution free and healthy.
