Best beach we visited in El Salvador! Got to visit the apartment complex of a friend (Portofino), and the beach in that area was just stunning. Water was comfortably shallow and was an incredible temperature. Cannot recommend enough!

I wish El Salvador government would take policies against loitering on beaches and organize cleaning crews.

My family and I were there in October the weather was perfect! The beach is beautiful! The water is warm and the sunset is amazing!! Very safe . Food was good! Of course we also enjoyed fresh coconut water! I really love this place can’t wait to go back.

I drove over an hour from San Salvador to get to this beach, and when I got there, there was no public parking and any hotels with staff on the street didn't look inviting. Plus, the pin in Maps for the beach is inaccurate and needs to be moved. I went to Playa San Marcelino instead, which is a few kilometers up the road and that savaged the trip. Unless you're staying in Playa Costa Del Sol, I don't recommend traveling there.
