Pleasant and peaceful place far away from city and crowd. Need to park your vehicle and trek along a hilly path for almost a kilometre to visit this beautiful waterfalls. Good place for youngsters to have a dip in water and enjoy. PS: follow google maps. It shows accurate location.

It's a small seasonal falls where the water fall can be seen during rain season, if you visit this place during summer season then you can find a dried place.. From the place of car parking till falls you have to walk for around 10 to 15 minutes to reach the falls.. Its a uneven way steep deep with up and downs.. But the view is very beautiful from the top... Visitors actually spoil the surroundings of the falls by litter it with snacks packets and bottles... Best time to visit is morning or evening to view sunrise and sunset as the view is very mesmerising.. Note: please keep the place clean..

Small Waterfalls in the heart of Mangalore. Don’t expect much as it is really small compared to many big falls. It is still worth a try. Beautiful when it is flowing. Water is clean. Need to park vehicles at the top and trek for around 1.5 kms to reach the place. Beware of couples/lovers storming the place.

Beautiful place in middle of the city. Needs a small trek from base point. Very small waterfall, Absolutely no cleanliness maintained by visitors, lots of empty alcohol bottles found everywhere on trail and near to falls too. Visitors , specially students visiting this place should maintain decency in such public places.

One of the best places to visit in Mangalore. You’ll reach the falls after around 200m small trek. Very clean water and calm place to chill. You can get down the water since it’s very shallow.

1st time trekkers like this place, small waterfall, can play in water. Small distance walk is there about 0.5km - 1km. For photoshoot nearby waterfalls, hills viewpoint there, here you can enjoy roadview and some greenery views. At evening time one should taste spicy corn that u will get at hills top.

The location given here takes you to a view point. A not so raised platform which overlooks the adyar river. Not spectacular or scenic but just fine. Don't expect any falls and go there, like I did, lol.

Edit: As per my experience I had given 2 stars. The owner abused me for my rating and advised me not to visit the place again. And told that in future, he will fix the entry fee. Better to note that it is not worth visiting by paying the fee. Because it is not even worth without paying the fee. Thank you for your generous reply Mr.Owner!!!

The nice waterfall I visited was a hidden gem. Surrounded by lush greenery, it offered a serene escape. The cascading waters created a soothing soundtrack, and the mist in the air added to the experience. It was a perfect spot for relaxation and photography. Access was relatively easy, making it a great day trip. Overall, a delightful natural wonder worth exploring.

Adyar Falls is a captivating destination that truly comes alive during the rainy season, boasting breathtaking beauty that is worth witnessing. The sight of the falls cascading down is a mesmerizing spectacle that paints the landscape with vibrant hues. However, it's important to note that during non-rainy seasons, the water flow may diminish significantly. To reach this natural wonder, head to Valachil View Point, from where a picturesque walk will lead you to the falls. Begin by ascending the road near Valachil Auto Rickshaw Park, immersing yourself in the surrounding nature as you journey towards Adyar Falls. The location is a splendid haven for adults, offering a safe and tranquil space to unwind and revel in the serene ambiance. However, families with children should exercise caution. The presence of stones and slippery surfaces means that youngsters must be supervised closely to ensure their safety while exploring this captivating locale. In summation, Adyar Falls is a must-visit gem, especially during the rainy season, to experience its enchanting beauty. While accessibility might require a bit of effort, the natural splendor and safety of the location make it a recommended destination for a refreshing escape.

Fantastic. Not very big but small, quaint and private covered but forest green and cool, clean streams makes it perfect place for a picnic spot with the gang.

It's a nice place to spend 3-4 hours. Place is calm, peaceful and clean. At the top there's viewpoint, and upon walking for 10 min we can reach the falls. The route to the falls is a little steep and maynot be suitable for aged people. There are few vendors who sell snacks at the spot

It's a very pleasant waterfall during monsoon season, very close to Mangalore, just 12 km away from city center. The place marked on Google maps is the parking area of this fall(no charges need to be paid), you need to trek for 500 metres at most to reach this fall. You can take help from some local person he will be able to guide you as we were guided too.

This falls was a pleasant surprise. You need to walk for a kilometre to reach this place. It's a quiet and more enjoyable place with a lesser crowd than any other falls. The water is more clear and located inside a forest.

Great place but some people think of it as the back of their house. 4 people were enjoying drinks, so we as a family had to retreat from there. Lot of couples hugging and doing obscene things, so as a family we had to retreat

Adyar waterfalls is located in the Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka. This place is situated in around 14 km from Mangalore city. The falls is named after the place that it is located in Adyar. You could easily spot this falls with their roaring sounds. When you take a trek down to this place you will easily find some helpful locals who can guide you to locate this waterfall. Many of the Mangaloreans are not aware of this beautiful waterfall or they may not have visited. This is one of the recommended place to visit and enjoy. Adyar falls is open all time. But it is advisable no to go after 4.00 pm because if you want to go waterfall, you have to trek 1km and the road is going through the deep forest and stony road. Please do not throw any plastics and other glass bottles. Keep our nature as it is.

A small waterfall near adyar viewpoint. Nice place to enjoy. Its littered badly, smells a bit. Whoever visiting please keep the place clean. Best time to visit mid-mansoon

  • 1/5 Praveen B. 1 year ago on Google
Worst falls, I have ever visited. I suggested people not to go. It's like you order one and get the other. Never believe what's there in the photo. It was like some tap water flowing in that sunny land, after 30mins of effort in that dangerous walk. I prefer people not to take risks and visit to see this tap water, it was really disappointing to the people who visited on new year.

When I was on a trip to Mangalore , had heard a lot about this place. Happens to be among the very few places where there are waterfalls. So decided to hike through the terrain which is pretty steep and also happens to cross the main railway line that goes through this place on the hillside. Apparently after reaching on top we find out that this place is dried up and can be seen mainly during the monsoons when there are heavy rainfalls. But this was compensated for the amazing and lovely view on the opposite side of the hill where you could see the sun set behind the mountains with a river to accompany it. The rating is for the falls and not the view.

This is small but beautiful fall and for me it was main attraction among everything in Mangalore(including beaches). This fall is open and unmanaged/uncommercialised so anyone can go and take bath. Be careful of slippery stones/surface. Also, I spotted one water snake in stored water near fall.

It's a good place for view especially the greenary. The way towards the falls is not really good It may become a problem for some to walk. And also during the summer's the water in the falls will be very little.

  • 4/5 likith k. 3 years ago on Google
I am not sure how this falls will be in the monsoon but in feb (when i had been there) it was not that great as there was no water in the falls. Otherwise the view from the top is mesmerizing and also it takes a short trek to reach the falls which is really good and as there was no water you can easily climb the falls for great pics. The road to the falls was a bit confusing, i recommend you to ask the locals insted of using google maps. And i am sure the falls will be great when there is water in it.
