Absolutely no atmosphere at all. We were sat at table nearest the toilets , portions were very small and prices very big for what we got. Staff quite young but nevertheless were pleasant and courteous. Definitely not value for money. The food itself was OK but just OK, nothing memorable

Their other location was closed on a Sunday night, our host inadvertently mentioned that there is another one... That's all I needed to make dinner plans! ☺️ Instead of the usual pub crawl we chose to enjoy a quiet dinner at Browns in Town. The local seafood chowder needed a lot of salt and pepper, but was the creamiest chowder I have had so far, period. Just the enough consistency, just the enough thickness... It only had fish and I was expecting other kinds of seafood. Anyway, it was ok. The lamb shoulder came in 2 round pieces of what looked like brisket made in medallions. This is by far THE best lamb in the world. I wonder what it would taste like with mint jelly... I thought of that flavor all evening. My husband had the crispy chicken wings and boy, were they crispy! The catch of the day, cod, was very well prepared and was sitting on a bed of greens. My dessert was a phenomenal pana Cotta with almond milk. This is my weak spot - pana cottas... This one was delicious! Beer and food wine selection and good staff finish up the picture. I would definitely recommend!!!

Great place in town. Really friendly staff, beautiful food. The feta was amazing. Really modern and vibrant inside and a veggie and vegan menu. Gluten-free options also available. Next to two car parks. One free of charge after 6:30. Another which shuts at 8:45 so be careful of parking there too late. Read all carpark signs.

Really good place, beautifully dressed courses. Loved the butternut raviolis 😍 Just a bit weird that you need to ask another menu for vegeterian/vegan option.

Staff were lovely, were able to squeeze me in a few nights when I came in late. The food is great here and very reasonably priced.

Fabulous meal and very reasonably priced. All dishes were of exceptional quality. Staff very helpful but not too imposing. Will definitely be back next time in Derry.

Forgot to take pictures of the dessert but they had a Christmas menu that had a deal for 3 course for $35 pounds. It was really good for the price. I was very disappointed in the burger though. It was not juicy at all and meat was fully well done which is not my preference. However, the chowder was really good and the fish of the day was very fresh.

Amazing dinner! Service and staff was top notch. It was our anniversary and we were given free prosecco which was very thoughtful. We had also requested a semi Conservative area which was facilitated. Very grateful for their service. Food was superb and quantity was surprising. We were stuffed by the time we got to our mains. Would definitely be visiting again.

It was our second time in Browns in Town. The first one wasn't great and I thought I'll never come back, but we got a voucher for Christmas and decided to give it another try. This time everything was superb and we're both happy that we have it another chance 💗 We'll be back for more 😁

Browns in town is a charming restaurant that offers delicious local cuisine. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to suggest the meal of the day. During my visit, the restaurant was not crowded, making it easy to find a free table to order. The waiters were impressively quick and attentive, providing polite and efficient service throughout my meal.

Lovely two course meal - starter of seafood chowder then main course of chicken and bacon risotto. The chowder was rich and creamy with plenty of fish, and the risotto was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Efficient service without being obtrusive.

A really fantastic surprise. First time there but not the last. Staff joined in the craic and banter with us and helped time slip by. Food well above average (really great) and service matched. Value for money? - absolutely.

Great spot and well equipped for social distancing. The menu had quite a bit of choice. I had a risotto to start with and then chicken and all I can say was the food was to die for. Really lovely choice by my husband picking this spot. The staff were very friendly.

Absolutely delicious food and great service! The atmosphere was cozy but elevated. I ordered the scallops, the burger, and the dark chocolate nemesis; all of which were wonderful! My dad got the beetroot and goat cheese salad, the ribeye steak, and a chocolate mousse desert, he said they were all very yummy! I would definitely eat here again, and would highly recommend that you check them out as well!

We had originally booked Browns in Town online, only to realize that our schedule wouldn't allow the night we booked. Consequently, we were delighted when we happened by Browns a bit before 7pm on a Saturday night, stuck our heads in the door and discovered they had a cancellation, and we could have a table till 8pm. Challenge accepted! Browns has a splendid and creative (also: very reasonable at £27 for two courses) price fixe menu, with numerous creative takes on traditional dishes. My wife loved her daily special fish appetizer and enjoyed her roasted pork belly (though she found it surprisingly lean for that cut... A feature in my eyes, a bug in hers). I thought my beef croquettes were tasty but mild, and my chicken -bacon risotto was a good and flavorful take on the Italian classic. Both meals came with a choice of sides. I opted for garlic chops (good) and my wife for parmesan truffle fries, which initially lacked much flavor (missed truffle oil?) but which our server graciously refreshed, and made much yummier. Overall, Browns was a very pleasant experience with excellent food and a very good value to boot. Of course, the service was classic Derry, gracious and friendly.

Went in for lunch midweek, got the 6oz rump steak w/onion ring with garlic chips the steak was excellently cooked + onion ring also cooked fine was very good quality although the garlic chips we were expecting garlic mayo on them but it was a lot of garlic oil on the chips they were a bit tasteless and quite greasy for what they were to be honest they needed seasoning but there was no salt and pepper condiments on the table or in sight ,the beer battered cod the fish was fresh ,soft and perfectly cooked ,the batter although needed a bit more seasoning on it to make the flavour stand out ,the mushy peas were a bit bland needed more seasoning , tartar sauce was good and the wife's chips we both thought the same we didn't really eat them but the rest of the food was good to a certain extent.

After a show at the Millennium Forum, Brown's was less than 10 minutes walk away. Great food and service. The local seafood chowder was well worth the premium. Deservedly very popular so booking is highly recommended, and probably essential for Friday or Saturday. Highly recommended.

Waiting time quite long and we were alone in the restaurant. Ordered beer without alcohol. Became beer gluten-free... It was replaced but we had to pay for both! Salad was ok, fish to fatty, simple to much oil. Also no salt, no pepper online the tables.
