Fantastic hotel within walking distance to everything looking out to the Derry walls. Just a short walk down to the Free Derry Corner, the Guildhall, Peace flame, and the Peace Bridge. Lovely friendly staff who go above and beyond every time we stay. Lovely clean, spacious rooms breakfast included from a full continental, tea, coffee, and toast with fruit, cereal, yoghurt to a large fry. Would definitely recommend staying here, and we'll definitely be back.

This is a nice centrally located hotel with its own free parking garage. The staff that I interacted with during the check-in, check-out and breakfast were very friendly. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options to choose from, and it was included in the hotel rate. The room was large, but my biggest problem was the street noise due to night street racing. Since it was hot, I had to keep the windows open so it was impossible to isolate this noise. I'd suggest to ask for a room facing the opposite direction.

Myself and 2 friends stayed for one night in a large family room. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed cocktails, dinner and breakfast in the hotel. Every member of staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very central and handy for everything. I would recommend the hotel and hope to stay again.

I would recommend this hotel when I go Derry. It is very close to the Diamond in Derry. Food is delicious and very great to eat. The staff is very friendly and nice. If you were going to see the Daniel 0'Donnell show that is near the hotel. There are lots of sights to see near the hotel.😎👍

Although the location was ideal for touring Derry, the hotel is very dated and in need of some major renovations. Our room was not untypical for an older hotel but many stains on the carpets, mold growing in the shower in several areas and the beds were hard and uncomfortable. Makes me wonder how clean the room actually was. The pillows were as flat as pancakes, so sleeping on the bed directly would have been better. We would have liked to have opened the windows but the local bars and attendees made it difficult to do so. So if cleanliness versus location is your priority, don't stay here.

came for bottomless brunch for my friends birthday. Service was excellent, and special mention to Neco who was our server for the night. He was so fun and engaging and made the experience amazing for us all

Nice hotel right in the old city center area. Great for getting out and walking the original city wall. Close to several interesting museums as well. Also, just outside the city wall is a nice restaurant/bar area where we spent some time.

Got in just after a bus load landed. The reception staff were brilliant and checked everyone in flawlessly. I took a seat expecting to be ages, but they had everyone checked and happily heading to their rooms in no time. The room is a nice comfy room with a massive bed that I cannot wait to drift off in... I'm not even joking you can roll 3 times and still be in the bed lol

Central hotel with great access to city and benefit of small free car park under the hotel which although a little tight is a great addition. Service was excellent and staff super friendly. Only downside was bathroom which had seen better days with black marks/mould around bath and dated fittings but room was more than spacious and beds comfortable

Everything at your hotel was outstanding! We loved the staff, the accommodations, and the town. Our only compliant was that we had so little time to spend in Derry. It warrants another trip just to tour Northern Ireland.

The staff at breakfast were professional and approachable, with N eye for detail - thank you Michelle. Minor negative, it has been a long time since I had to stand in a bath to shower, an upgrade to you room(s) is necessary. But thank you for a memorable couple of days in my favourite city.

A clean and well located hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The bar staff were very nice though at times that was no one in the bar area to serve. I would however recommend the Maldron Derry as I enjoyed my stay here.

I recently stayed at the Maldon Hotel in Derry during a business trip to upgrade their WiFi, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, which made my stay all the more enjoyable. The highlight, though, was the delicious food served at the hotel's restaurant. I couldn't get enough of the tasty dishes. The staff were not only attentive but also incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. I'm absolutely delighted with my stay and working experience at the Maldon Hotel. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff at the hotel for their excellent service and hospitality. It truly made my trip memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Derry. Thank you again!

Hot and noisy. No Aircon or fans and couldn't have the window open because of traffic noise. Good location, good breakfast, helpful staff, large rooms. Pricey.

One night stay in the heart of Derry, just inside the walls. Absolutely blown away with this gem - everything was amazing. Room quirky and clean, breakfast tasty and all the staff so friendly. Thank you so much, we will be back!

From the moment we walked in, we had a very welcoming experience. The two ladies on Reception were so friendly and helpful. We booked dinner for the evening of our stay and the waitresses went above and beyond for us the food was amazing

Great location. Derry is a small place, but still this hotel is nice and central. Friendly reception staff. Sorry to say that our room smelt dank. We tried airing the room but it didn't help. The bottom bed sheet was too short for the foot of the bed; the TV and radiator heater didn't work; and there was no fan or air con, but the windows opened 6 inches or so. Only one side of the bed had a power point. On the plus side, the room was large with three chairs, a writing desk and a small round table. Shower over bath with a shower curtain. We were provided plenty of clean fluffy towels.

Excellent stay at the Maldron Derry. Rooms were very spacious, warm, comfortable bed, ideal location close to shopping street. Staff were very friendly and kind. Dinner and breakfast was very good, great variety on menu.

Amazing stay!! Will be back for sure. Nicest staff I’ve ever came across in a hotel, the girls at reception couldn’t be anymore helpful. Hotel was spotless and location is brilliant! 10stars

Wonderful, warm & welcoming, kind & helpful reception / bar / restaurant staff who are an absolute credit to this hotel, nothing is too much trouble , they would be a key reason a guest would choose to return. Lovely spacious room, most comfortable bed ever and great food too! Thank you very much.

Had a nice stay at the Maldron recently. Nice clean rooms and very friendly staff who looked after us well. Our evening meal was delicious. Close to all the amenities. I would highly recommend the Maldron for a break in a wonderful city. 10/10.

We paid £115 for a one night stay which we felt was overpriced considering it was a Monday. However the staff were great, the room was clean, beds were comfortable. We both felt the room was very cold in the night so we would advise to bring some warm pyjamas!

The Maldron is a good comfortable hotel with a great location. Right next to the old city wall where you can. start your exploration of Derry. The parking is not good. It was full when we arrived. We would have appreciated a sign to direct us to alternative parking rather than just a sign saying the lot was full. Great breakfast and staff.

Love this place! So central, close to shopping and pubs. Food was delicious. Shannon on reception is super friendly and really welcoming, sorry to have missed her before we left. Shannon your recommendation was spot on, we got what we came for and really happy with it.

Location was amazing! Staff so friendly, and was able to check I earlier. Room was pretty cold throughout the night, couldn't seem to get warm. Also someone walked in about 8:45 to clean room when we were in bed, wee bit of a suprise

The location is great, the room was clean but nothing special. We could hear a lot of the noise from the street and the corridor so it’s not really soundproof. However the staff were really nice and helpful and the breakfast was great with a lot of selection. Thanks to the receptionist who gave us great bar and restaurants recommendations !

Just stayed Friday till Sunday. Lovely stay rooms spotless beds comfortable but very high just because I am a short person😊staff where lovely. Had dinner one night food was lovely and service very good. Would just need to drop prices a bit. All hotels in Derry getting very pricey.

Very welcoming staff, great location. My room was very well equipped and clean. Breakfast was brilliant, gluten free selection was excellent. Though the water for tea needs to be hotter. Only issue in my room was very few TV channels and no ITV at all. But I was able to get the ITV hub on my phone.

I stayed at the hotel with a friend recently, we found the hotel to be very clean and accommodating, the room was very spacious and clean. Although in the centre of the town it was very quiet and we both had a great sleep. We had dinner in the Lyric Bar which was lovely. Could not fault the food, the Cookie Dough Sundae was amazing. Breakfast was a great set up. Actually one of the best breakfasts I've ever had at a hotel. The staff were all lovely and very friendly. I am already thinking of going back soon with my partner and son for a fun family trip.

My friends and I had an enjoyable overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. The room for the 3 of us was really spacious and comfortable. The amenities were first class and the restaurant food was really good. We enjoyed the experience and will be booking asap for next December.

Room clean and tidy except for carpet was dirty . My 17 Yr old son was too tall to wash his hair in shower as it was too low for him to stand under. Very few car park spaces so they should pay for you in pay and display. Couldn't get Bombay gin or Irish coffee in the bar as only 1 staff member on and it was busy . Food in the restaurant was very nice

From the moment we stepped into the foyer, the receptionist (Shannon) was friendly, pleasant and very welcoming. We arrived on the early train, about 9.30 and as had stayed before knew we could leave our bags, but our room was ready, so was a quick cuppa tea and out to shop. Can't wait till back again, fingers crossed January.

Room was clean and fresh, it was quite roomy and the bathroom was lovely, although there was only liquid soap, not the usual shampoo, body lotion etc, and we had to get extra toilet roll. We stayed two nights, Sunday and Monday, breakfast was great on Monday morning but on Tuesday it was a bit disappointing, not as much choice and looked a bit like leftovers. Location is brilliant and staff were very helpful and friendly, really welcoming.

Great Hotel. Myself and a colleague stayed 16/1/23 to 18/1/23. The reception staff were helpful and friendly, and Shannon was super helpful when we checked in early. We ate in the bar which was great and the prices were reasonable. Breakfast also great. All the staff at this hotel are friendly and genuine, and gave us some great tips re looking around Derry on our down time. We also managed to get a secure parking space in the hotel underground parking . The hotel staff are a credit to the hotel, and the cleaning staff did a great job! I will definitely stay at this hotel again, and Derry is a great place! Many thanks !

Very pleasant and helpful reception staff. Clean rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Nice bathroom and comfy double bed. Right at the heart of things. Great restaurant and bar. Excellent bar staff. Very good value for money in Derry/Londonderry. Will definitely be back

Have stayed at this hotel numerous times and found it excellent value. Service, food, rooms and facilities are of a very high standard. The one point I will make is that I travel with my friend and there are no twin bedrooms with walk in shower. I have walking difficulties and am unable to get into bath to use shower - this means having to wash at sink which is very inconvient and quite difficult for me. We do love the locatìon of The Maldron and always enjoy our time there - this would just make stay perfect if I could have shower. Thanks everyone for lovely stay

My friend and I had a fantastic overnight stay in the hotel. Any areas we saw were very clean&tidy, the room was spacious and the beds lovely & comfy. The bathroom had a great shower as well as nice towels. We had dinner and breakfast, both had good choices and we're delicious. My only criticism, hence the 9 out of 10, was the dining room was cold (especially at dinner) and bedroom was cool. I asked Shannon for a blanket and she got a quilt brought up for me, which helped to warm me up. I do understand trying to be environmental friendly as well as economical and this would in no way deter me from recommending or staying here again
