This
is
an
OK
restaurant;
I
wouldn't
say
it
is
a
great
one.
Firstly,
it
says
it's
a
Japanese
restaurant
on
one
side
of
its
signpost,
and
on
the
other,
it
says
it's
also
a
Thai
restaurant.
Personally,
I'm
not
a
fan
of
mixed
Asian-themed
restaurants,
but
the
Thai
place
down
the
street
wasn't
allowing
in-house
dining,
so
a
friend
and
I
tried
Zane.
She
went
for
Sushi
Rolls
(they
don't
serve
Nigiri
or
Sashimi--at
least
I
didn't
see
it
on
the
lunch
menu)
and
a
Tofu
appetizer.
I
went
for
the
Japanese
Spring
Rolls
and
the
Unagi
Don
eel+rice
dish
with
Miso
Soup.
The
two
appetizers
were--in
my
honest
opinion--best
for
people
who
have
no
other
access
to
better
quality
restaurants,
let
alone
Japanese
or
Thai
restaurants.
That
sounds
harsh,
but
the
spring
rolls
were
hot
without
much
else
in
the
way
of
flavor.
The
tofu
was
dry
and
the
Sweet
and
Sour
sauce
served
with
it
was
a
bit
of
an
insult:
it
tasted
of
(and
had
the
consistency
of)
water
with
rationed
sweet
and
sour
sauce.
The
sushi
rolls
my
friend
ordered
were
about
as
tasty
as
the
kind
you'd
find
in
a
grocery
store
nearby:
not
bad,
mind
you,
but
not
quality
sushi.
As
mentioned
above,
the
menu
did
not
offer
Nigiri
or
Sashimi,
only
rolls.
The
Eel
Dish
(Unagi
Don)
was
tasty
and
satisfying...when
I
still
had
eel
left
in
my
large
bowl
of
rice.
I
felt
it
would
have
been
a
wonderful
dish,
had
the
eel-to-rice
ratio
been
more
equal
or
balanced.
The
flavors
were
good,
but
I
finished
my
eel
way
too
early
and
was
left
eating
only
a
bowl
of
rice
for
the
rest
of
my
meal
(don't
let
the
photo
fool
you,
the
bowl
was
pretty
deep
and
filled
with
white
rice).
At
about
$15
for
it,
I
couldn't
recommend
it.
The
Miso
Soup
was
forgotten
about
until
the
end
of
the
meal
when
I
had
to
remind
the
waiter.
The
place
was
busy,
I
understood.
Upon
reception,
however,
I
wasn't
surprised
to
find
that
the
soup
was,
though
perfectly
edible,
lacking
in
flavor.
Regarding
the
establishment
itself:
the
space
was
roomy
enough
to
accommodate
several
family-sized
tables.
No
one
wore
masks,
naturally,
as
people
need
to
eat.
One
of
the
bathrooms
was
out
of
order,
but
the
working
one
was
decently
maintained.
Service
was
OK.
Our
waiter
was
respectful,
but
was
handling
pretty
much
the
entire
floor
that
day
and
was
busy
and
forgetful.
Not
a
big
deal
we
understood
that.
The
food,
however,
was
overall
mediocre
at
best.
3/5
stars
from
me.
