One of our beds was broken and when I went down to talk to the front desk, the lady accused me and my children of breaking it and was very rude about it. We hadn't even been checked in an hour. The said the maintenance man was worthless and they didn't have any available rooms so a few cleaning ladies came and fixed it the best they could. The walls were filthy and the carpet and our microwave didn't work either.

This room was VERY CLEAN and highly comfortable. The staff is friendly, courteous, and thorough. The hotel is centered in the middle of everything... Business sites, food, and shopping. It's one of the top 3 Marriott properties I've ever stayed at. I'll say it's 4 or 8 times better than the W Chicago Lake Shore. The price relationship to quality and amenities is the absolute best.

Like the hotel and lots of good places to eat and shop near by and not to bad of a breakfast lots of variety. My only complaint is they don't come clean yours rooms anymore!! Didn't even come make bed or change trash. I stayed for only 4 days, and I understand the whole "not changing the sheets daily" idea... But please come change the trash, or pick up trays in hall way, etc. I never even saw a housekeeper. 😔 Think you need to lower prices if I have to bag my own trash, sweep my floors, make beds, go get towels.

By far, the nicest, easiest, reservation, ever made. The people I interacted with on staff were knowledgeable and friendly. No surprises, everything was honest. The room was clean amd fresh. 10/10 would recommend!!!!!!!

Always clean and welcoming. Comfortable bed, nice shower supplies, pet friendly. Nice variety of breakfast options. Close to varying dining options and outlet shopping.

Room was very tidy, house keeping was great. Breakfast area is very clean and the food was fresh. My go-to place to stay in Des Moines.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels in my time. We thought the service here was top-notch and enjoyed our stay. Great view of the pond, geese, and fall colors as well as convenient walk to several restaurants and outlet mall stores. We'll be back the next time we visit.

On the outskirts of Des Moines, a solid spot to set up for a night on your way through. It's in a developing part of the county, but still nice and easy enough to get too. The front desk in the night and morning were super helpful and great to talk to. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Parking was super easy too. I'll be back on my next road trip through.

Customer service is top notch which is very hard to find these days arrived about 1 am all restaurants were closed mentioned to the person at the service desk that I was starving he went out of his way to make sure I got some food before I turned in for the night

Nice place good spot in Altoona close to all the interstates so you can go anywhere in the Des Moines area pretty quickly

We stayed July 13, 2023. We were very happy with customer service from the moment we arrived. Our room was nice and very clean, we stayed in a double queen. They had an amazing breakfast with many options to choose from and someone constantly keeping an eye on food for refills. We used the the hot tub and pool, it was clean and towels were provided. My only complaint would be the water pressure for the shower was not great at all… but all and all, we would stay here again!

This is a very clean and well run hotel with an excellent included breakfast. The rates are also very reasonable. However, families with children looking to swim should be aware that the pool is quite small.

Love ourselves a clean hotel and accommodating desk staff. So courteous and professional. Only negative is the over-chlorinated hot tub and pool. My eyes stung for hours!

Clean room very comfortable beds . Everything you need is close by. I would definitely recommend the staff are friendly . Close to I-80 It was the easiest check in and check out I’ve ever experienced in all my years on the road for work and personal reasons.

This hotel definitely met my family’s expectations. The only downside is the pool is a bit small and very over chlorinated. The chlorine burned our eyes the entire time making the pool and hot tub unenjoyable. Also the temp in the hot tub could have been warmer. It was a very nice hotel and I would stay again.

Hotel is very clean. Breakfast lady kept wiping everything down and was very personable! No germs! The lake is a nice view! This will be our go to hotel when staying in Des Moines!

Fantastic place to stay! Very clean and updated, with a great breakfast. Customer service was wonderful and location is perfect.

We had a very pleasant here on a Wednesday night. The staff was so welcoming and professional. The front of the hotel is situated perpendicular to the road which greatly reduces road noise. We stayed in a room in the middle of the hotel and we heard no road traffic. The rooms are extremely clean, well lit, larger airy bathroom with plenty of towels. The common areas are super clean and fresh. The staff that works here really takes pride in what they do and it shows. The area around the hotel is really nice too. You feel safe.

We checked in. Did not recieved the Elite member welcome gift. Everything was great! The room, the shower had the best hair/body products, breakfast was great. As we were checking out, I just asked the guy, Jeff, for a water because we didn't get one last night when checking in and he replied, "I don't have to. They are over there. They're only $1.50. Do what you want." It's a shame to ruin an Elite members experience with poor customer service skills.

The restaurants that are near it are great .The service is great when I called the desk to alert them that some kids where running around at ten banging on people's door they put the situation to rest .

One of the best hotels I have stayed in while in town. Have been to plenty in the past month but this one is close to everything and super clean and staff if so wonderful. Ty

The rooms were clean and the free breakfast was good, and it's located right by bass pro shop and a place called BS. (Burger shed) their burnt ends are off the scale. Will definitely be returning to the hotel and the restaurant

Easy to access from I-80. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and quiet. They gave us a nice view of the pond and a room close to the entry so we didn't have to carry our luggage far.
