senggigi waterfall

Tourist attraction

πŸ‘ Picturesque waterfall that’s easily accessible by well established trail. Not overcrowded and but sadly, there is plastic trash everywhere like some other locations in lombok. the local people really need to stop throwing their plastic trash everywhere. People often mention waterfall,

The map takes you to a very small trail head. 90 minutes from that point there is no waterfall. After asking several locals, there is still no firm answer on if there is a waterfall if you continue. Case remains open. Please update if you ever find out.

Closed now! And the road to the waterfall is dangerous now (snakes, wild monkeys, etc.)

At this point you have to walk another 1 kilometer to the first small waterfall. In the dry season it is nothing more than a small shower. The path is not well made, be careful! On the way back at the exit, locals wanted 100,000 IDR as entry per person! They pointed to a poster demanding this entrance fee (150,000 IDR on weekends), supposedly for the state. This is far too expensive and we claimed we only had 100,000 IDR with us. After some discussions, he let us start the return journey with half the entrance fee. This waterfall is not recommended in the dry season.

The waterfall a long hike upstream along the watercourse toward the north east and well into the National Foresttry Reserve (Hutan). Flows are variabke and reactive to recent raindall. The walking track is primitive. There are no services.
