A great little dinner. Open 24 hours. You will need proof of vaccination or negative test here. First thing they ask for when you walk in. Great food and great service.

Tiny old school diner! Only 5 tables with a few stools at the counter. My waffles n onion rings were good. They make onion rings with beer batter which gave em a great crunch. Yes thats a lot of oil in the picture but it was clean oil. My friend said "the place is greasy in a good way." My friend enjoyed his pork chop n eggs breakfast plate. Our server was very nice.

Great place to get that 24 hour breakfast. Pork Chop was excellent. Will had the club sandwich. Seasoned waitstaff. There may be a long line for limited seating. I recommend you eat here at least once when visiting New Orleans. They were open on Christmas day.

Great late night eats. Quintessential New Orleans diner/dive. Adam was a great server! Happy birthday Adam. The breakfast burger was huge and delicious. Thanks for everything. I’ll be back.

This restaurant was so much more than I expected. We took the first look and thought it was a greasy spoon, wrong. This place has the best breakfast meal that I’ve had in years. The team was hard at work making things happen, getting out orders for all the customers and doing it with a smile on their face. They kept us entertain as well as provided the best in service.

This reminded me of an old school diner with the best cooks and servers I've ever had! Thr bacon was mouthwatering and amazing and I really don't like bacon. The service was spot on and amazing. My kids enjoyed the atmosphere like we were at home. Also the tarter tots my little son demolished them and they were cooked to perfection and crispy. When I go back out there that's the spot I'm going to for breakfast

24/7 Hamburgers - OLD SCHOOL all the way. No niceties (until you’re the costumer), if it’s full they’ll tell you they’re full. You may wait outside, and they’ll let you in only AFTER they cleaned the table. The locals (and I) swear by the burgers (the beef chili…. Wow), and the breakfast we hear is fab. Nothing fancy, but the flavor is a winner 👍

Absolutely the BEST hole in the wall I have ever been to. 24 hour service, amazing atmosphere, very laid back, and PHENOMENAL food. It's surprisingly quiet inside despite being on Bourbon Street. Will definitely make the effort to go back next time I'm in New Orleans.

This is a literal hole in the wall. About 3 tables and a handful of seats at the counter. The food is so good. I dont think I've ever seen an omelet so fluffy. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and it was seasoned to perfection. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a must-stop when I visit New Orleans. The food is so good, the atmosphere is classic and the staff is wonderful! This is definitely a hot spot so if you go at peak meal times, expect a wait! The wait is worth it though, the food is SO good.

Convenient spot for a quick late night meal. It's a small cute diner that cook to order. I ordered a regular cheeseburger with a side of tots. It was good and hit the spot. By the way, they do not accept cash.

Clover Grille defines the title "greasy spoon." This small 50's style diner serves breakfast 24 hours a day, along with burgers and sandwiches. We got breakfast, chicken fried steak, eggs and hash browns. Everything tasted of oil, and otherwise wasn't seasoned. Would not recommend, unless you're drunk, or have an iron stomach. The staff was friendly and professional, and the food came quickly. If you think Waffle House is good, you'll probably dig Clover Grill. They are not currently accepting cash.

Loved this little greasy spoon cafe. Went here for breakfast while vacationing in New Orleans. Food was good and the prices were very reasonable compared to others in the area. The waitress was very friendly and funny. She went out of her way to run out on the street to call us back bc we forgot our bag. We liked it so much we went back the next morning. Only catch is you must have front and back of vaccination card and ID to enter.

O.m.g. we had the nest burger! They were strict about mask wearing until you sat down and checking vaccine cards which we appreciated. Great service.

Part of my first trip to New Orleans series! This was the first night there....it's 3AM Friday, I must add without any knowledge of the area we stop here after a our first stroll on Bourbon Street. Not many people were out...we were hungry so we stopped here as 1. The only place Open & 2. No were else to go in walking distance. The venue is very small so if it's a busy night the wait will be a little long. After having a debate with my friends about whether chicken fried steak was steak or chicken, We all ordered it.🤣 this really wasn't good. We won't eat there again! Oh...they don't take cash!! Please see pics. Reasonably priced! The 3 of us spent 32 total and that included a tip!! I would recommend if you're looking for a drunk & hungry as hell; ain't nothing else open kinda vibe!! 🤣🤣🤣

I had an absolutely delicious breakfast burger from Clover Grill! The place is small and had a classic diner feel. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait at all. The reason for 4 stars is because 1) they don’t accept cash or allow you to split your bill and 2) I believe that we were incorrectly charged. Luckily I kept my receipt since I was traveling to NOLA for business and I noticed a discrepancy between what I was charged on my card and what I signed for on the receipt (including tip). Granted it was only a few dollars thankfully but I really feel like that defeats the purpose of not accepting cash… I would still recommend this place and I hope that it was just an accident.

This is apparently a New Orleans fixture at least in this neighborhood. It's short-order style grill breakfast and burgers. For Southerners, think Waffle House with New Orleans attitude. (Message on menu: "If your order isn't ready in 5 minutes, wait another 5. This isn't New York City.") 24-hours hangover cure.

  • 5/5 Sarah N. 6 months ago on Google
Don't let the outside of this place turn you away, the Clover Grill is truly a hidden gem! Inside seating for about 20 patrons in a true short-order diner setting in the heart of an older New Orleans neighborhood. The menu is simple and sprinkled with humor, and the staff are quick and friendly. The food was perfect, cooked to order, and well worth the short walk off the beaten tourist path. We will definitely visit again when we find ourselves in town next time!

Stopped here on the late night for a burger since they are one of few spots either food 24/7. I read through plenty of the reviews so I had mixed expectations. First, the breakfast burger was spot on. Delicious. It’s a thick patty, grilled fresh. They come one temperature. I’m a medium gal and this was well done, but it wasn’t lacking. Burger was tender, not tough or dry. The toppings were perfectly balanced. I added cheese, which I’m kinda shocked it didn’t come with. Cost me $1.49 which is ridiculous, but I didn’t ask ahead of time so it is what it is. The grill is right behind the bar top, so you can see the cook as he prepares the food. He is good at his job. The neatness and attention to detail as he single handily made every order was all skill. My burger was excellent and worth the wait. Cause you will wait. There was only one person taking orders and running the food. He was very observant, though he seemed to avoid eye contact so you wouldn’t question how long it’s going to take to be acknowledged. But, soon as he took care of one table, he went to the next table in “queue” — and was overall pleasant enough. It’s Christmas and you are a one man team, I’d extend some grace. I did see two tables get up and leave because of the slow service and that’s unfortunate all around cause the food is fresh (as in made to order) and good. Calling it a “greasy spoon” is not how I’d describe it cause it’s not greasy in my opinion. Prices were mostly fair though after tip I spent $21…and some change…on one burger. It is what it is. Three stars because it’s 24/7, made to order, and the overall best option if you want diner food. But the service can use improvement. You have a reputation that’s promoted enough to where you should want to have someone else on staff that can help when business is busy. Every negative review on service I can see having took place. So for there to be no improvement is a turn off.

It's just a grease-pit diner on the corner. That being said, it's wonderful! Great comfort food made with heart and friendly attentive staff. Quite charming, really. While it doesn't seem as picturesque as the area around it, supposedly several movie scenes were filmed here for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I can't figure out which, though. All I can tell you for sure is that this is a nice little southern diner.

Cheeseburger was so good! The breakfast burger was great per the husband. Tots were fresh and crispy. Server was a bit rude but it was late and maybe he had something going on.

Clover Grill is a first class greasy spoon type restaurant, in the best possible way. This is not a fancy place, just good food at a reasonable price available 24 hours a day. Breakfast whenever you like and really good burgers. When you get hungry late at night keep the Clover Grill in mind. You will be happy that you did.

Burger and fries were delicious and perfectly cooked. The chilli was too salty to eat on its own, but great as a condiment on the burger, or to dip your fries in. Service was great. My coffee cup was never less than half full.

What a great dive! I had the build-your-own burger and an order of the onion rings with a root beer. The food was slammin', the portions were great, and the service was phenomenal. Loved the quiet, quaint feel of the old-style diner. I managed to grab a seat by the window and was able to catch the sun setting off Bourbon Street. For those looking to come, it does NOT accept cash! Keep that in mind!

Very small Diner with a lot of personality. I enjoyed my cheeseburger it tastes just like my grandmother used to make with the steam and a lid on top. Had the perfect slight taste of salt and pepper. The food was delicious they serve breakfast at a the counter Waffle House Style. The cook was awesome a lot of personality. I'm not sure if the server just having a bad day. But could have been a little more friendly but to each his own all in all I'd go again.

Good little historic restaurant. Everything is made to order. It’s located on Bourbon Street. Seating is limited but they are open 24 hours a day. We ordered the waffles, and the 24 hour breakfast. The waffles were super soft and tasty. The bacon was crispy. Everything was great. We would eat here again.

Super friendly staff open 24hrs and great ambient music for your Trek through the French Quarter. The country friend steak and eggs were a delight and a side of hand cut and battered onions made the evening go through perfectly. Seriously is THE spot to get over your hangover!

While we were looking over the menu, I overheard another patron say, "This place is just like Waffle House!" I think that is a perfect description and a wonderful complement. You are going to get no nonsense service and no frills food that is quite tasty (especially after a few hours on Bourbon St.). We would definitely eat here again.

Walked in and this woman told my husband “Put your mask on!!! I’ll need to see you vaccination card and ID!” Ok. , no problem, show a pic of the vaccination card and she said “I’ll need to see the back!” I don’t have a pic of the back. But her whole attitude showed that she didn’t want to serve anyone and gave my husband the finger. I’ve been going here 3 or 4 times a year when we come to town. Never going again. 😢

Wanting just a quick and not so heavy dinner, my husband and I decided to check out the Clover Grill. This place is a little neighborhood dive. The menu is pretty limited and it seems that burgers are their specialty. We don't eat meat, but I have to say that the burgers they were serving to other customers looked great. I had the fried egg sandwich and asked for the eggs to be over easy. Whoever cooked those eggs knew what they were doing - they were cooked perfectly!! My husband had the make-your-own omelet and hashbrowns. Service was good and the food was very good. Overall, a great little place for a quick meal.

this place being open 24hrs is clutch!! a diner style breakfast place that’s a great stop for some food after a night out in the quarter. I had some hash browns, grits, and a waffle which was all pretty tasty! the staff worked super hard to stay on top of orders but they were very busy when I went (2am on Friday night), so it took a little longer to get food than I think it would’ve at a normal time. overall, i enjoyed it.
