Lola's was absolutely one of the best restaurants here in New Orleans. I have nothing to complain about. Every dish that was served was amazing. The staff was extraordinary. The food does take a while to be prepared and serve but this just give you more time for good conversation, hand crafted drinks and people watching. If you're in New Orleans for just a split of a second and in need of a amazing Spanish experience without leaving the country; give Lola's a try.

Great Spanish food. Paelus was authentic and very good. Very charming atmosphere, great place to bring a date. Quaint, they won't rush you, take your time, just like in Europe. This place should be packed, with a line out the door every night. Have a Sangria or two, it will really relax you and get you in the mood.

We had a great time here. Servers were polite, fun and knowledgeable, and made great suggestions. The Paella was amazing, cooked to perfection. The hubs and I enjoyed the antipasto board with a cocktail, while waiting for the paella to cook.

Great food the Crawfish Puppies were unbelievable. Had the Blackened Catfish with Gouda Grits and Andouille Sausage I honestly couldn’t get enough. The fried shrimp were perfect. A definite must go especially if a Diners Drive In and Dives fan.

Crazy good seafood paella. Ceviche was amazing, mild and not overly citrusy. If you love garlic, the bread and aioli will impress you. Good selection of Spanish wines. Good cocktails that fit the restaurant’s vision. Definitely try the almond and nougat ice cream. We’ll be back!

Excellent. Excellent food and wine. The rack of lamb was tender and juicy. The rainbow trout was expertly seasoned. The duck with fig sauce was inspiring and perfectly sweet and savory. The paella was truly over the top.

We were Lola's around 9pm but they served for us. I'm the first time here, so I asked customer for what is you favorite food in here? 90 % people said "Paella". I ordered Vegetables 🥘 Paella and finished even though that was big pot. 😅

Great experience! Ambience = Romantic; Food = delicious (We had the Seafood Paella, add vegetables for our main course); Service = great! Additionally, we met the owners mom from Houston. She was so sweet and down to earth. We will definitely be back!

We came to Lola's for a double date. I made a reservation ahead of time and said we preferred outdoor seating. We were seated early on their beautiful patio with a. View of Esplanade ave. We had two bottles of sangria and shared some tapas, paella, and dessert. I loved the sangria! I thought it had a great balance of wine and brandy. The tapas were delicious! We had the charcuterie, ceviche, and garlic shrimp. The garlic shrimp was my favorite - I couldn't stop dipping my bread in that sauce! We ordered the seafood paella which was tasty. The 3 tapas and a medium paella was the perfect amount for the 4 of us. For dessert, we ordered the flourless chocolate cake and some almond nougat ice cream. The chocolate cake was amazing!! We really enjoyed sitting on the patio and the service was wonderful. We'd definitely come back!

We are from the Houston area and we’re excited to try Lola’s. My job on any trip is to scout restaurants that serve mussels. Lola’s did not disappoint although I have to say that the garlic shrimp was tasty. The paella was deceptively generous and we both have leftovers. Midnight snacks

Uncooked rice and mushy broccoli for 30$ garlic mushrooms were ok, Brussels were underdone and both were salty as heck. Complained about the Brussels and got a “yeah that happens”. No sangria, no dessert, held hostage waiting on the check, cocktails were not great. Pretty tho.

The food was divine. I hadn’t had paella since the Dominican Republic, so being able to have it here was a real treat. The paella takes about 30-45 mins, so be prepared to wait. But just order an appetizer while you wait. But make sure you don’t eat too much bread, so you can enjoy the paella. We had the shrimp paella and I enjoyed all of it. Our server was amazing. The fresh sangria not pictured was delicious. The restaurant ephod be great for a first time date or a small group gathering. There was a total of 5 in our group and I was excited that we made reservations for dining. It’s a small restaurant, so call ahead to confirm seating or make reservations. Everything about this restaurant was amazing. I’ll be back.

Awesome experience. We had the mushrooms and calamari to start and both were delicious. The trout was perfectly cooked. The flan reminded me of my mom’s and was very authentic.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local. Wow! Everything was fantastic! Absolutely delicious! I will positively go back the next time we're in town! And thank you for accommodating our party of 6 with short notice!

I lived in Spain for a bit and ever since I couldn’t stop thinking about the paella. I passed by this restaurant and absolutely loved the tables outside and the atmosphere inside the place. The serverwas wonderful and she answered any questions we had. I was really bummed about the food. The paella was too soggy and the other dishes were too salty. I hope it was just a bad night at Lola’s because it sure felt special

First timers at Lola's, had a great experience !! We ordered the rack of lamb and the spinach linguine, they were delicious. Our server Andre was very helpful and polite and made our experience very pleasent

Delicious food! The calamari was so tender and the garlic shrimp so flavorful you will need many bread to sop up the juice. The paella is good only thing I hoped is the crisp on the rice which we didn't get, otherwise would give it a 5 star. Waiter was super friendly. Will highly recommend this place.

My cousins took me here since I'm out of town. It was highly recommended. Unfortunately, it was quite the disappointment. We ordered 3 pasta dishes and waited 45 minutes for them to come out. We watched paella dishes come out to customers seated well after us. When we asked what was taking so long, our waiter Casey offered no apology or reason, just assurance that they were being plated right away. It was at least another 10 minutes of waiting. They were plated sloppily. Both entrees and appetizers (soup) were heavily salted. I do not recommend Lola's.

Grilled calamari was delicious, forgot to take a photo of that. We ordered both Paellas and Fidevas, both are good. I like Fidevas more. Sitting along the street and having dinner, it was really nice.

Adequate at best. Our party of 9 was wedged into a table that was too small to accommodate us. 4 of us were seated on a hard wood bench that was better suited for three people. Food quality was really disappointing, especially given the cost of the paella. Hopefully Lola’s is on the rebound after the pandemic. Probably one of the worst values we have experienced.

I had dinner here tonight, and needed to write about my experience. I walked in at 5:30 without a reservation, and was able to get a seat at the bar. I ordered a Paloma while I looked at the menu, and decided to order the vegetarian paella and lentil soup. Felicia was serving behind the bar, was delightful to talk to, and made a delicious drink! The paella took a bit to prepare, and I was glad to have the soup, but it was totally worth the wait. I will be returning soon, and highly recommend Lola’s.

Dinner for 2. The food was amazing. The host, George was exceptional! Our waitress was lacking in attention and detail; fortunately, George noticed and filled in the gaps. Each of our first preferences for drinks were not available, despite inclusion on the menu. Outside seating was beautiful, yet definitely needed more lighting. Lights in trees were not functioning. To summarize, the establishment has room to improve, but I highly recommend it for the quality of the food.

Just had the most incredible meal here! I’m vegan and they had more options than expected. The mushroom appetizer was absolutely delicious and the paella was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. Great ambience too!

Tapas appetizers for sharing is a bit overstated, but for two it may be just right (there were three in our party). We had mushrooms, ceviche, and calamari. Mushroom portion was kind of sparse; ceviche was ample (like an ice cream scoop size with chips); calamari was enough for the three of us to have a few slivers, so not too bad. Veggie paella was quite good. My wife and I shared the "medium" portion. A bit pricey for rice and veggies but, like I said, it was quite tasty. We had a slice of the chocolate cake as well as a flan for dessert. Both were good, nothing eye-popping but a nice way to conclude the meal. Atmosphere was quaint, though crowded (Friday night at 7). Upon arrival, we were told that our reservation would be seating outside (ugh). We inquired about indoor seating and were accommodated, so that was a plus. Our server, Cassie, was attentive and helpful. All in all, a nice experience and I'm glad we were able to try Lola's for our first time.

A bodega in a shotgun house. Open kitchen let's you see the magic as it's made. Ceviche was so so good. Citrus, shrimp, mahi mahi, and house made chips. Nom! Also tried the Ajoblanco, aka almond soup. It's a creamy cold almond concoction that works great at the beginning or the end of a meal. Try the lamb stew! Spicy, rich, delicious! Paella is the specialty and while good, I found it too dry. I was missing the saucey juices that the rice is cooked in.

Lola's is outstanding. I had the meat paella and my partner had the duck. Both were superb. As was the garlic soup. Attentive service. My only complaint is that it's so loud. Maybe lose the mirrors on the wall. But the food outvoted the noise. Will be back as there are so many other things on the menu I want to try.

Friendly staff. They sat us on the owner’s porch while we waited for our table. Waitress was attentive and friendly. We had a party of 8 and everyone was served promptly. We ordered 2 extra large paellas, ceviche, garlic shrimp, sangria and the combination desert and everything was delicious. The outside setup facing Esplanade Ave. was excellent...and best of all, we brought our favorite wine.

The atmosphere was nice. I would pass on the experience of the food. Plenty of people raved about the paella, I'm not sure why. The seafood paella didn't even have crawfish in it, in New Orleans? All the seafood was overcooked in every dish served. The duck was alright but at twenty five dollars the portion was extremely small. For a two hundred dollar bill, my money would be best spent elsewhere.
