If you find yourself near Erie, PA... like ANYWHERE near, you HAVE to stop at Lucky Louies!! First, the service was great. Friendly and helpful and very courteous. Now the food... I got the "Don't Hassle the Hoff," and it was the best dog I've ever had! The wife got the "Frank n Beans," and she said it was very good. We also got the Poutine, which was just straightforward fries, gravy, and cheese poutine, and I'm glad. Too many places are trying to church it up these days. It was simple and delicious! We finished with funnel cake fries and raspberry syrup. They were good, too. We live about 4 hours away, so I don't know when I will be back, but if I'm anywhere close, I will make the trip!!

What fun, friendly service. The place is small, and it was crowded when we were there (later dinner on a Tuesday), but the food was prepared promptly and was super delicious.

First time. A really good friend of mine that loves Miller lite recommended this place. I got the Ruben and the breakfast dogs along with the parmesan fries and she got the Neener Weener! Everything was delicious! I was expecting a slightly larger dog but wasn't disappointed with the ones they offered. We enjoyed a game of Uno outside on the picnic table while we waited on our dogs. Of course I won 🏆 😁. I would recommend Lucky Louies for a relaxed atmosphere and a change from the routine meals most places offer. I'll definitely go back because there are several other Wieners I'd like to try!

The Googling prowess of my husband struck again! He found the best hidden jem just off the I-90 in Erie, PA. Lucky Louie's Beer & Weiners 🤣 It did not disappoint. The beer selection is massive (150+) along with some nice ciders and non-alcoholic options. The hot dogs are amazing! He went with the Yinzer and I couldn't pass up trying the Dixie Normous 🤣😂 We also tried the freshly made pretzel bites with horseycheese sauce - fantastic! The outdoor, heated seating was cozy and warm. We left full and happy. Highly recommend if you're passing through this part of PA.

This place was fantastic, I stopped here for lunch on a road trip. The food was delicious and the beer selection was on point. Got the It's Always Sunny hotdog and the Chicago dog, and I was not prepared how large these dogs were. Service was super friendly and my food came out delicious and hot. It also had a great indoor and large outdoor space.

A great place for gourmet hotdogs. Most dogs have witty names and fun ingredients. Don't Hassle the Hoff is my personal fave. Also they only serve Smiths Hotdogs which are an Erie, PA staple. Add in the great craft beer selection and both indoor and outdoor seating and you have a hotdog joint with a visit!

Very excellent hot dogs. They come ins submarine roll because they are stuffed with toppings. The fries are a meal into themselves. And the pulled pork they had was on point

Picked up a Judy's Ash Street Greek and fries. Made it a double dog! The spicy Greek sauce is delicious. Plenty of outdoor seating. They even have a giant sized Connect Four

Great spot for some unique food. Never been to a place that compares to Lucky Louie’s. The hot dogs are great and they have a great variety - would be hard pressed not to find something for anyone. The service is great as well. Also have had a great selection of craft beers for many years. I recommend this place to any friends of my passing through Erie.

Awe, I'm so happy to come across this place. Great beer selection, and the food was oh so good. The folks there were friendly, which made it a very nice time.

Great hot dogs! Very interesting flavor combinations, but they work. Bun is large enough to contain it all. Very small place on the road side, don't be fooled by the outside. Plenty of beer and dogs inside, and a nice outdoor area on those fair weather days.

So this place is a gem. It is a bit overwhelming when you first walk in. I recommend checking out the menu prior to going. The outside seating area is great. Completely laid back and a great place to hang out and enjoy the afternoon. The food was great and the beer selection was top notch.

This place is a must stop. They have an amazing menu with some crazy hot dog combinations that you would never normally consider putting together on a dog. Loved the outdoor picnic seating area with jumbo Jenga, Cornhole and giant connect 4. The fries are out of this world too. Many of the creations can be made vegan too. Which was why we went there. We were lucky to find it!

This place is AMAZING! If you're down with hot dogs, you won't regret stopping at this gem; I've never been disappointed! Craft wieners, a ridiculous selection of craft beer, an off-kilter sense of humor, eye-poppingly artistic-looking food that tastes even better, and a blur-of-activity show put on by the nicest people around. Stop in this tiny joint and thank me later!

This is a cool hot dog and French Fry joint, with a stocked wall of adult bevs and a little-known heated hangout space (with board games) attached. Why have I not known about this before? I’ve never seen anything like it. Nothing fancy. Tables and chairs. Fun string lights. Even bales of hay for seating. But I’m glad I discovered it because it’s another place to hangout and have a drink with friends. I had a lot of fun meeting up with friends, trying some hot dogs with fun toppings, having a couple drinks and catching up in the heated and covered outdoor space. Kind of hard for me to find because it’s in a building with a huge discount beer sign. So if you know that, it won’t be hard to find. Near the Presque isle downs casino.

Food, server friendliness, and atmosphere were great. I really enjoyed my visit.... until it was time to pay the bill. I don't mind spending money on good food, but $75 for 4 hot dogs, 2 beers, and 2 drinks for the kids is a little crazy. More specifically, I think the kids meals were the most outrageous part. I might go back by myself, but I would never take my family back. I have a 3 and 8 year old. They each got a plain hotdog (not even a bun), a drink, and a small dish of Mac n cheese (about 1/2c.) and that was $24. You wouldn't even pay that kind of money at a pro ball game or concert. Overall, We had a great time sitting outside and playing with the table games, but the fact that it cost $75 and we all left hungry still makes this a bad visit. We would have been better off going to chuck e cheese to save some money and get more food. Never thought I would say those words. Haha

This place is the best dogs in town. Naturally, they are Smiths. My favorite dog is the "Don't hassle the Hoff" I make sure to stop here everytime I am home. The staff is great, and they have a large menu of options and a ton of beers. They also have a great outdoor seating area as well. 10/10!

Everything we got here was excellent. The staff was very friendly to us and helped explain the menu. I will definitely go here again when I visit

Stopped off here while on a road trip thanks to iExit app. So glad we did! Ordered the Dixie Normous and the Bob Lawblaw as well as pretzels and fries with sodas. Dang it’s good!! Prices are good, food is even better, and service is friendly and quick. Clearly a place with a sense of humor - so fun!

We went through the beer selection, which was sorely lacking if you like Stouts (not everyone likes IPAs), bought a 6 pack then went outside to have a beer and watch the live music. Less than a minute after sitting down beneath the trees, we were informed that we could not have a beer from our freshly purchased six-pack, we had to go in and buy beers individually as they charge different prices, apparently, and we needed to buy them individually if we wanted to stay and watch the music. I understand running a business and needing to make a profit, but I just spent $20 on a six pack and I probably would have ordered one of the delicious hot dogs (the cheapest of which is 5 dollars) - apparently that wasn't enough of my money - absolutely ridiculous! I will not be returning any time soon!

Erie is my hometown and I don't get back often. I have wanted to try Lucky Louie's the last several trips and finally got there this year. It is outstanding! It is already well known in Erie as a great place to grab a delicious hot dog and a drink. You can sit inside or outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I decided to get the Ruben hot dog and I was not disappointed. It. It was fresh made in front of my eyes and delicious. With so many choices, on my next trip I am sure to get several to take with me.

So many options it was a tad overwhelming the first visit there! But the food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. A small little place that expands to an outside seating area with games and a natural environment.

What a hidden gem in the Erie area! Who thought so many things could be done with a hot dog/sausage! Everyone was so helpful! Including the patrons! And the menu! Just wow! If you are a hot dog fan this is the place to be. I got the Yinzer and while it was huge with toppings like pirohy and French fried onions…it was easily eaten whole! It had a sturdy bun to keep it together! The place was decorated for Halloween and was something to see! Even Beetle Juice was there! We arrived at a good time as our order was taken right away…shortly after the place was packed! Definitely a must go to for lunch or supper with an assortment of local beers and more!

If you’re looking for some creative hotdogs with big flavors hit up this spot it’s dynamite and if you are into craft beer they have a lot to offer.

Walked in and to the left there's a great selection of beer, cider, you'll find IPAs, stouts, lagers, basically something for everyone. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Picked beer #1, grabbed a seat at the counter and started to catch up with a friend. While there were people at the tables and music, you can still hear each other talk. Put my order in for the Asian Invasion hot dog and tried beer #2. They use Smith's hotdogs, local supplier, which is awesome. This hotdog had cabbage, sweet chili sauce, wasabi sauce and crunchy rice noodles. The food came up quickly and looked great. Had no clue what to expect for taste but it was yummy. The flavors played well together, would definitely order it again. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and customers, good prices, what's not to love?
