An MRI for shoulder pain showed multiple tears within my rotator cuff and bicep in my right shoulder. The pain was always there and very intense much of the time. OTC pain meds didn't touch the deep pain. I had 1 shot in 2017 that didn't help at all either. My left shoulder had the exact same pains only to a lesser degree. Surgery was recommended and I didn't have it only because of the down time in recovering. Lucky me! I had left foot surgery recently and was not able to walk very well. I also had significant swelling and moderate pain around incisional site. Camelia was so patient and attentive; she listened carefully to all my concerns and prescribed great PT treatments that have helped me so much. I did 3 sessions weekly for 4 weeks. I got the range of motion and flexibility in my left foot back. Swelling and pain subsided after 2 weeks of therapy. Changed my life!! I had (I say had because I am 100% healed) a torn rotator cuff, labrum and bicep tear. So much so that the local Orthopedic shoulder surgeon said that I had no other options. However I felt surgery was the last resort, so I asked him to write me a script for Physical therapy, he refused, and said that it would not work as my injury was to severe. I needed a doctor to write the script. Since I hardly get ill I had to select a primary care physician. I chose one thru my insurance and visited a local doctor. At first she said that she suggested I listen to the surgeon as he is a respected surgeon in the area and she refers patients to him. I had to insist to try physical therapy. Thankfully my better judgement and persistence paid off. I interviewed several physical therapists over the course of a week. One of whom was Camelia Tamasanu with Health Beauty PT. She proceeded with caution due to the surgeons recommendation, and set proper expectations that surgery still may be necessary after the treatment. This treatment gradually regenerates damaged tissue and heals the effected tear. I began the therapy that consisted of this unique treatment, with traditional physical therapy with her and at home.
