So I haven't been here in a while and decided to come out here for a comedy show with the wife. She had never been here before. When we came in we were greeted by the people at the door and led to a table. Our waitress Carly was very nice and professional. And she had a very upbeat personality. The music was 80s and 90s throwback hip-hop and R & B. Which was right up both of our Alleys. We were almost going to leave because my wife was looking for something a little bit different on the menu. But after getting a couple drinks and looking around at all the other orders that people were getting, she decided to stay. I'm glad she did. I ordered the hockey Town Burger and she ordered the Maurice Salad. And let me tell you it was amazing! And you can't go wrong with a side of tater tots and Buffalo chicken. Definitely will come back here again when we come back in June for the 70 Summer Jam. Thanks for a great experience guys and gals! Lastly, it's very rare when you go into an establishment in the restrooms are as clean as they are. But, this place takes their bathrooms very serious because when I came in it was immaculate! Thanks again.

Food was great and service was incredible. Long waits before sporting events, bit what would you expect.

Fast and friendly service and on top of that the food was good. We had potato skins as an appetizer. A pizza that my daughter said was delicious 😋 and my sliders and tater toys tasted great.

I went for a specific comedy show inside the venue. I was amazed with the memorabilia, decor, staging, and the T-Barb comedy show!

It was bizarre that the place closed at 6pm on a Sunday when it was the only bar to find football. They kindly put up with me til the Eagles ensured the win. Also I thought it odd that beer served in plastic cup

They will literally have you go through orientation and then not ever send you a start date. Waited an entire month. Went up to the restaurant to speak with a manager and she was very rude. Why would anyone want to work there and they treat staff so poorly. Do better!

Cool place to eat before seeing your favourite Detroit team play. Really cool atmosphere. My only complaint is the lack of vegetarian options on the menu. The menu is quite slim, so maybe take a look at the options before going to see if something is there for you :)

Mac & Cheese with BBQ pulled pork was delicious. Smokey flavor and tender pulled pork and creamy mac & Cheese. Location is a block away from any of the sports venues

Love the Hockey Town Cafe. They don't have a large menu but they have enough of a variety that you'll find something. The food was good and not too expensive. The atmosphere is amazing and the service was really good. Any time I'm back home, I eat at the Hockey Town Cafe, you have to give it a try. Especially if there's a game that day, it can be a lot of fun inside with all the sports fans.

Not the Hockey Town I rember from when it first opened. Not the Red Wing hockey related items like there used to be. A lot of... Motorcycles? We just stopped in for beer so I can not say how the food is anymore. The beer selection was normal tap beers.

The spinach dip was really good. However.. Everything was slow. It would have been fine but there were only maybe 4 other tables of people there on a Saturday afternoon. Our appetizer came at the same time as our meals which was disappointing. Our drinks came out really slow, first the bartender wasn’t around to make them and then when he did make them our waitress was gone and we could see them sitting there complete for another 5 minutes.

The atmosphere is great before a Tigers/Wings game. The drinks are good but the food is something that I would pass on. Years ago when the this place opened, everything on the menu was very good. As time passes the quality of food has significantly dropped. I recently had the pepperoni pizza. The pizza was very lacking in the sauce department as well as the toppings. Each square slice had 4 small pieces of pepperoni. That with the lack of sauce made it glorified cheese bread.

Beer, soft pretzels, TV screens, motor cycles on display, casual environment, close to lots of locations in the downtown area. Waitress skimped a little when I asked for napkins, but not critical.

Hockeytown has been a staple in Detroit for RedWings fans for what feels like forever. It’s in a great spot locate right a block North of the FOX Theater and catty corner to Comerica Park. It was once home to the now defunct Second City Comedy Club whose former space is filled by a different comedy club endeavor.

Wednesday night at 6pm. Small crowd. Appeared to be 1 server, but she was quick. Standard bar food menu; seemed lacking. Food arrived quickly by the cook staff and looked/tasted good. Prices seemed fair and they had a good drink special menu. Good spot for quick bar food and a few drinks before a game, but don't expect to be wowed by the food.

The loaded tots were delicious! My friend and I both ordered the burger, well done and they were medium rare. We sat at the bar right in front of the teller system and right next to the line for drinks and we were ignored by the bartender for 5-10 minutes. Finally were able to order drinks and food, food came out pretty quick but I wasn't able to get another drink for another lengthy while. I asked for our bill and the computer system went down so we had to wait. As we were waiting for the system to reboot our bartender served the line that was coming up to the bar, the system rebooted and we stood waiting to be acknowledged. After a long wait I cut in line of the people ordering drinks and the bar tender was like " oh you want your bill, I was wondering where you were". I paid our bill and left. I think the mgr should have noticed the problems and helped and the bartender should have been more aware.

Went here before a Pistons vs Raptors game. A convenient location as it's basically a 5 minute walk to any arena. The Detroit style pizza is what we got and it was absolutely delicious! Would definitely go back just for that. The whole store is also pretty cool with lots of memorabilia on the walls and awesome bikes in every corner of the place.

As a first timer, I’m absolutely dumbfounded at the lack of authenticity & quality at this place! For $20 you can catch yourself a meatloaf dinner on a prison plate! Cold & burnt … smoked by a pack of cigarettes. Tenderloin tips were more like crumbles. I’ll never be back!

Great atmosphere! Nice to have them back open on special event days.

There is nothing bad to say about the place. Bartenders were amazing ! They were getting everyone's orders out fast and efficient. The the people were happy. It was busy af too, we stopped in after a Lions game. I'd say a great place to chill, have a drink. There's tons of cool stuff to look at all around the restaurant. Definitely will visit again, also recommend stopping in.

Stopped here for a quick bite before a concert. Just sat at the bar. The bartenders were fun, polite and quick. Got the steak bites and cheese bread, both were really good. Will definitely stop in again.

Great burgers and a fantastic location if you're headed to an event at Comerica Park, Little Caesars Arena or even the Fox Theater. We went before a Red Wings game and were told the wait for a table was about 1 hour, but we were offered seating at the bar and were able to be seated immediately. The menu was a bit limited and featured the typical bar food options - nothing special. Service was quick and friendly and we had no trouble getting to our game.
