When my sister and I can’t decide where to eat, we instantly come here! Their food and service is great. The menu isn’t that big, however the quality takes up for it! We’ve been coming here for 2+ years now and it’s definitely one of our favorites.

Awesome service and Awesome food. This hidden gem is is placed around plenty of parking. There is no reason not to try this place. I had the Ney York strip steak and it did not disappoint. Priced to sell without breaking the bank. Every plate I saw the staff bring out looked very delicious. Excited to venture back and try other things on the menu.

Great restaurant in downtown Detroit it’s a small restaurant so expect to be waiting a while if you don’t have reservations. Pasta and salmon was seasoned to perfection. Calamari was crispy and enough to share with the table

Nice ambiance, however, upon our arival the bartender said "would you like to try our drink special today?" we said "sure"........we made the mistake of not asking the price of the drink beforehand. I had one, and my friend had two. when we got our tab an hour or so later we were floored!!! the drinks were $20 a piece!!! and they added a 20 percent gratuity bringing the grand total to $72.00!!!! for three drinks!!! The drinks were good but not that good.... the staff was nice, however, we left feeling a bit gouged...and we probably won't be returning anytime soon... word to the wise, ask the price before ordering!!!!!

First time eating at Downtown Louie's and it was amazing!! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for a wonderful evening. The decor was stylish yet cozy, and the dim lighting created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was impeccable and our waiter was very attentive! This place truly exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend dining here!

Very nice and clean restaurant I had the New York Strip cooked medium well it came with mashed potatoes and asparagus everything was delicious and cooked perfectly A+

Food looks good, but taste bland. Drinks too sweet. Nice environment, beautiful restaurant…that’s it. Wouldn’t recommend…over priced & not satisfactory. Photo is from the end of our night, we didn’t finish or take it home.

Had a great solo date here. Missing their rainbow trout sandwich the Bar Tender recommended another dish and sauce options. The wine was great and the dessert was the icing on the cake for my night. The owner was very kind also. Would recommend ✅️

Place was amazing server was excellent.. manager had chicken fingers made special for our son. And chef visited the table to make sure he was happy. I've sat at the bar before and the bartenders are great. Very cool spot

Overall, this is a great spot to grab dinner. The decor is a little dark but very classy. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The food and service are impeccable. I went there for dinner before a Detroit Lions game and loved it. My friend picked up the check so I don't remember how pricey the place is.

Loved the place; it's right next to my job so I tried it out for my anniversary. Food was good and all that. One thing though: we didn't get any bread. We saw every table around us get bread (this was after our entree was brought out) but we didn't get a basket. Thought it was odd. I'll go again but, yeah, make sure we get some bread.

Was recommended from the hotel I was staying at around the corner and OMG this place was amazing!! Hands down the best burger I have ever had! I LOVE a good burger and this place did not disappoint!! And the veggies were fresh!! My lettuce was crispy, tomato wasn’t soggy, bacon was crispy AND they asked how I liked my burger cooked! The owner Peter was phenomenal and service was amazing! Hands down the best burger in Detroit!! 😍

I had the most amazing experience at this restaurant. There is everything you’d want! The burger and salad was my favorite. The cocktails were great and they had a really cool upstairs area perfect for private events. Thank you Downtown Louie’s and Grill!! Can’t wait to come again

Pretty good food in a really nice place with a good vibe and strong drinks. I'd say this is more of a bar with good than a fine restaurant. NY strip was a bit tough for $42. Great staff.

Steak is mediocre cuts at best. The grade is poor which is evident however it was very tasty, the side of vegetables served with the steak were so overly seasoned that it was not edible. Potatoes were good, onion rings were huge and delicious! Overall I'll be back!

Very cool place with delicious food and drinks. Gives an upscale vibe without breaking the bank. The bartender Jess is incredible and made my dinner perfection!

We know it was a busy weekend, but service was EXTREMELY slow and the food was just so-so. (We waited for over 20 minutes just to get our water). We ordered a bottle of red wine to have with our dinner and the waitress poured out the whole bottle without even letting us taste it first. Wasn’t that impressed. 😞

Great evening with my extended team at Louie's. Did a booking for 14 that we extended to 16, team was understanding and facilitated this without any issues. Our waiter was great and smiley. Only thing would be about the service, a little bit long but for 16 I can understand. I ordered Mac & Cheese (can't find proper one in France), awesome one with perfect cheese that do not become sticky and thick. Great!

Like the Caucus Club, this is a solid standby and serves as a great neighborhood bar and restaurant. They have a good variety on the menu and their Whitefish was as good as I've had. This is a good choice before a downtown sports event or concert. It's an easy walk to any event you'd attend, but far enough away, that parking and trsffuce are easy.

Went for drinks and dinner. This place wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that memorable either. It's bar and tavern food done well, but remember that's what you'll be getting at this place: bar and tavern food. The drinks were strong and sweet, and their wine list is pretty diverse. Definitely check it out after a game downtown!

This is a great place to go for a drink. The staff was awesome. Gave recommendations on cocktails that didn't disappoint. Even helped with recommending other places to eat. I highly recommend stopping in. The food menu had alot of good looking options on it.

Absolutely wonderful service and the food was delicious! Laid back atmosphere, jeans were okay but many were dressed up. There's a great wine and drink selection.

I should've taken a picture before we started on our food, but this just shows how good it was!! Cocktails were amazing and the creme brule was delicious. We live for finding Detroit gems like this.

We have been enjoying Downtown Louie’s Lounge for years and have never been disappointed with our meals or the staff. Dining there again last night was, once again, perfect! In addition to the delicious meals and wine, our server, Glen, went above and beyond making our evening exceptional! Love this place!!

Ordered the crab cakes and pistachio chicken. They were both specials. And perfect! Delicious and flavorful. Thank you for accommodating us after we were late from being stuck in the parking garage. Warm, friendly service from everyone we encountered.

Such a lovely and amazing dinner. Our waiter was attentive, informed about the food, and and fun. The owner was attentive and engaging. We had a great time. We ordered calamari and split the crab cakes as appetizers in addition to our entrées I ordered the salmon and it was done to perfection. Cocktails were yummy! Plan to be back as soon as we can.

We went for Valentine's day, no reservation, and were seated instantly for a group of 4. The entire staff is super friendly and helpful. I was unsure of the wine selection and our waiter brought me a sample. This was our second time visiting and it will not be our last. The steak bites are to die for! And the burger was so juicy. The drink menu had plenty of options. Our favorite is the Dancing Berries. We were also treated with complimentary champagne. The atmosphere is amazing. It's a very warm and inviting place. It reminds me of the bars you see in a movie, to sit with friends for hours and catch up. If you're ever in the city, definitely put this place at the top of your list to visit. P.S. the butter is like Crack. 100% loved!

In a cinematic corner of downtown many pass by. Louie's offers a relaxing yet refined atmosphere with a fantastic beer and Bourbon selection.

Really delicious food and it all came out really fast. Glen was our waiter and he was awesome. Loved the atmosphere and ambiance. Definitely will be back.

Wow. Can’t say enough good things about our experience here last night. First and foremost, our server was Glenn, the absolute best server we’ve had in a long time anywhere. He was so very friendly and personable . This was our anniversary dinner on our out of town trip, and we wound up here late for dinner sort of as a last resort and we are so glad we did. Dinner was so so delicious. We Couldn’t stop raving about it all night. We will come back to eat here for sure!!! Wanted to Tell the owner before we left but didn’t get a chance to. Hope he sees this and knows that he has a great place. Great job guys.

Beautiful place tucked away in the heart of downtown. Great ambiance, definitely a place where you can grab a bite and leave or enjoy the company with others. Friendly and attentive staff. I definitely wanted to loved the food and I was starving. I ordered the burger, but it was just too salty. I couldn’t finish it. I tried to eat the fries but it so salty as well. I tried my friends steak bites and she told me it was salty too. So I’m not sure if it was just me or if someone was heavy handed with the salt. I hate to be that person, but I plan on going again and give it another shot.
