This is a special place unlike any other I have been to. A slice of old Detroit still alive and well. The drinks are great the beer is cold but it's the atmosphere that really sets this place apart. The cigar lounge is wonderful, well ventilated, cool and the walls are covered in historic DPD artifacts. I have been to a few events here which never disappoint. Also the door man is the best around. The outside seating area is nice and spacious when the weather is right and Eric brings in some serious talent to cook several times a year. Do yourself a favor and get down here!!

Nice place. Very homey. Made you definitely have the feeling of being at someone’s home. Decorated nicely for Christmas. Loved the big doggie of course. The only issue I had was a nasty patron who yelled at all of us to not close the door behind us. Which out of respect when you leave you shut the door. At that point I felt very uncomfortable I couldn’t wait to leave!!

Great little hole-in-the-wall neighborhood dive bar. Bottled beer and mixed drinks from friendly and attentive staff. Cheap prices, but bring cash!

Greatest corner bar ever. The moment you step in the door, you'll live it and want to bring others established in 1907 and still owned by the same family

Management here was not ready for our bar tour bus. 1 bar tender & a full house. Entertainment was great ( Smily & The Soul Brothers) just tough to get a drink.
