A great low key spot for after dinner drinks. Cute decor and lots of great cocktails. Love this place for it’s drinks. A highly recommend one of those Hole in the wall must visit places. No food is served. The place is really small and gets packed super quickly. It’s almost always full so plan accordingly. Trust me you won’t be disappointed with the drinks.

After work hangout spot. It gets crowded in here, the earlier you get off work, the better.

Awesome place to get a tiki drink and relax. This was our first time here and we were very pleased. They don't have a kitchen but allow customers to bring food in, and there just so happens to be a pizza spot right next door. I had the Cobra Fang, DKOF, and the Kaiju Attack. All were excellent and refreshing. My wife enjoyed the Tusk of Plenty and Dead Reckoning and said they were delicious as well. The decor and atmosphere were great. Between the hammerhead shark, fish and other decor, the place looks great. Staff seemed very laid back, and service was quick and friendly. We will definitely be back

Had a few well crafted cocktails here before dinner. This is THE PLACE you want to go to for fruity drinks. The banana bread shot was surprisingly delicious, too!

This place used to be really great. Went last night after not going for a few months. Music was some sort of trendy rap with explicit lyrics and drinks no longer come in tiki cups. The physical atmosphere was was cool, but not worth coming back to lousy music and dull drink presentation.

Really cool spot for a craft cocktail. Nice presentation and yummy drinks! Will definitely stop in again soon. Small place, but fun atmosphere. Must try the banana bread shot ... it's like drinking dessert.

I love the Mutiny, I truly do, it's one of the best bars around! I've been coming on and off every weekend for the last 3 months and have been delighted by the quality of drinks but the service and general good vibes. However we came in Friday night to see a new staff, that was not as friendly, and very inattentive. The black spot grog, and Dance the Hempen Jig were completely different than the usual awesome drinks we've been getting for months. I really hope the new slushie machine isn't a bad sign. New(?) Bartender Matt seemed a little rude and ignored us. Sad as we've been in here so often and have had sucha great time each time. But tonight, wow, the drinks were completely 100% different (and bad honestly, mine had o liquor in it) and we were treated poorly. We've been going here for awhile and am just really disappointed by tonight. Normally I wouldn't judge from one bad night but the service and drinks were awful. :/ not what I expected from this usually amazing place. Really, this made this from a 5 star into 2. I hate that. I really hope the owners see this!

The kind of place I could spend hours in! Low-key but fun surroundings, a myriad of quality rum options with a sort of “60s Hawaii” drink menu and overall vibe. The bartenders are super personable and they brandish pro-level delivery and drink presentation. It’s clear that I don’t hate the place and I’ll be back :)

Awesome atmosphere! Drinks are fun & Instagram worthy with all the fire. Our bartender was super friendly & very attentive. Karaoke was going on (it was a Thursday) and the energy was great.

The experience is great! Awesome drinks and great decorations and vibe in the bar! Super fun and most dress festive with Hawaiian shirts. The bar tenders could be more friendly…I would still recommend and come back.

Strong drinks - great atmosphere and our bartender Alejandro was excellent. Can’t wait to revisit. Def one of the better tiki bars we have been too.

This place has a standard drink menu which has crazy presentation. Everyone should experience it atleast once. They have no food but you are allowed to bring outside food. Vibe is so cool. You feel like you’re in another world. There is a pizza place next door and they have wings 🔥.

This place is cute inside. The service is eh. There’s not a lot of seating so be prepared to not be able to sit somewhere. The “menu drinks” are extremely sugary and mostly filled with ice. No kidding my drink took me about 4 sips. I probably wouldn’t go back.

Shout out to the folks here. We showed up at open after a lions game and spent some time talking with the bartenders. Great people, phenomenal drinks, and a great atmosphere overall. Will definitely be back and bringing friends.

Cool vibe and a few interesting cocktails on the menu, but staff seemed distracted and kind of inattentive. Worth checking out for one or two drinks.

Low key spot for some tiki drinks and lots of fun decor. Conveniently close to Flowers of Vietnam for an after-dinner drink too.

Bar was really cool inside and super inconspicuous looking at the door from outside. Would recommend that anyone in the area drop in for a drink. Even better, you can grab some pizza next door and bring it inside to hang out with friends.

When you step in the door, you feel like you have been transported to a tropical party! Such unique drinks, one of a kind atmosphere and the most talented bartenders.

Great drinks, great bartender. Casual and welcoming. Will be visiting again. Second visit. As good as the first time. My date loved it, too. She took the pictures I am sharing. I highly recommend making reservations via Resy!

This place was amazing! I went for my 22nd birthday. Our waiter Alejandro was great and made great drink suggestions! Wish there were some appetizers or finger foods for your stomach after a while of drinking. However definitely worth it!

OK the only other tiki bar I've ever been to was in Disney world and one on Mack Avenue... this 1 is up there with the coolest!!! it's very old school very tiki vibe... but most of all look up the coolest thing you've ever seen is hanging right above your head...this made it epic

I just visited after not being there during the pandemic. They've done a really good job with renovating the space. More seating room! And it's nice they kept the same decor (including the big Lebowski sectional!). The bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable, and outgoing. The drinks are a nice variety for a wide range of pallets, with some that can be made into mocktails. They are also carry-out friendly since they don't have a kitchen. Will definitely be coming back!

It's tough to get an Uber here from downtown, and don't believe the closing time on Google. We learned this the hard way. We specifically sought out this tiki bar, and after several cancelled Ubers, we finally arrived at 1:30am. We thought this would be enough time to enjoy one of those amazing looking cocktails before closing time, but instead we were told that the bar was closed. Even though the wind chill is currently 3°F, we were not even invited inside to wait for another overpriced Uber back to our hotel downtown. No apologies. No nothing. If we had been greeted with even half an ounce of politeness, I'd come back tomorrow...but I don't need that kind of negativity with my umbrella drinks.

Very groovy place with some very interesting drinks. Customer service is top-notch. Corner bar atmosphere, but they literally light your drinks on fire, so be prepared to pay for a good show.

Flaming supercharged cocktails, good vibes in a very eclectic tiki style paradise in the middle of Mexicantown Detroit. Limited seating and well worth the reservation, these folks are great. Support local business, social distancing the whole thing. #detroittikibar #tikibar #mexicantowndetroit
