The “security guard” here alone makes me want to give this place a negative 5 stars. He’s a miserable old man that clearly has no respect for the clientele that comes in. If you are that miserable with your job, find a new one! The bartenders are are also not very attentive and will not acknowledge you unless you wave them down. Horrible attitudes all around from staff, especially for an old ran down establishment. 100% do not recommend and I will not be back!

This place was okay. I came in here a few weeks ago and the place seemed a little neglected. It was a Saturday evening, yet there was only a few people inside. Their service is friendly but very unattentive. They were all texting and just standing around. The floor was all tore up and it kind of had sort of an old warehouse rustic feel, which I honestly didn't care for. I get Detroit is an old gritty city and having a bar like this is hipster and trendy, but this was a little overboard. The floor was beat up and it borderline looked like they were remodeling. The outdoor space was nice. It seems like a good spot to chill when there is entertainment and the place is filled. But again, it was very unkempt. The palm trees were all brown and dying. Supposedly they had very good pies back in the day but now they quit serving them and that part of the bar is just abandoned. The slushy that I ordered was watery and sour. It didn't have the best flavor. It was nice and strong though. The only thing that saves this place is its location and atmosphere. Being right in midtown helps this place out a lot. Any big event going on in the area, which does occur often, will draw people to this bar. There are some dart boards and a skee-ball game as well, which is pretty cool. The place is also very spacious. Overall, this place feels neglected. The things that keep this place afloat are its location, friendly wait staff and the large indoor and outdoor space.

We tried the fake chicken sandwiches there and I'm not mad at it. It has the consistency of a fish sandwhich 🤔 so imagine that texture but it taste like chicken. The vegan cheese was not It fr. It didn't really have a taste. But that was the first vegan chicken sandwhich I had where I would get it again so 4 stars.

Nice atmosphere! $5 charge when we went. Spacious inside and out. Outside area was a vibe! Music, bar, tent, lights, wide benches, plants and flowers lol i will go back.

Bartender seemed like she was going to cry when I asked if they had any sour beers, weird vibe from her. Maybe a recent death in her family? Found some jagged pieces of plastic in the beer and decided that was enough of the Wayne State Daycare Center for one night

Good local bar with solid food options. They used to have vegetarian options, but check. The location is very easy to meet people coming in from the suburbs.

Nice atmosphere. Came here with a coworker after work. Great place to unwind.

Nice place to have a party and hang out. They need a better selection of draft beer and do away with those cheap liquors Parking there is in short supply. Wish I owned it, I could make it reach its full potential.

love this place, always have a good time, good music, good drinks, and great atmosphere, the patio is fun and I like that it’s enclosed, i will say the service is super hit or Miss, half of the bartenders are great, attentive and friendly, but the other half honestly kind of suck at their job, they can be on the rude and disinterested side which is crazy bc as a fellow industry worker, you know that just kills your tips, but i don’t want that to affect my score, I love this place but again, a couple of the ppl behind the bar could take some tips from the other half!

Bartenders don’t like first timers I suppose. Drinks were mediocre. Ordered a Rueben, half of the sand-which was only sauerkraut the other half actually had corn beef in it. Had more sauerkraut than Corn Beef all for $14 dollars lol and the Rye wasn’t grilled it was buttered up and sat on the a Luke warm grill and had no crunch 🙁 I had to ask for a fork to eat a Sand-which??? ☹️ Now this is the best part, I really had to use the restroom and when I went to the toilet, locked the door.. I turn around and see vomit all around the toilet edges. 😳 I highly recommend management hire someone to clean your toilets, highly recommend check your lazy cooks, highly recommend check one of the bartenders attitude. Won’t ever be back 😊

3rd street is a great bar in midtown Detroit. It is large and has outdoor and indoor spaces to mix and mingle. It is a good spot for a large group. Also the drinks are reasonably priced

The girls working the grill in the back have the most terrible attitudes and I didn't get my burger after 45 mins because they "forgot"

It's a special place to me. The lawn is a great place in the summer to sit and talk. You can also pay and play your favorite song inside. I love their cocktails.

Was great time lots of people lots drinks lots of dancing.

Classic bar good for a fun weekend or a nice after work beer

When i walked in there were only 6 other customers sitting at the bar. I sat down at a table and neither one of the bartenders offered me a drink or menu after I sat there for about 7 minutes. The male bar tender was just leaning on the bar talking to a customer. I just left for being ignored. Wouldn't recommend this place.

This is one of the very best bars I have ever been too. The staff is amazing. Chris one of the owners is a great guy and is always there and knows everyone. The interior and exterior of the bar are very clean and has been completed updated. The drinks are priced fairly and the service is fast. I would recommend this bar to anyone who is in the Wayne State area or if your going downtown for an evening.

Bartender with dark hair always extremely rude. My friend and I visit Street Beets at least once a week( for the past month) and order drinks here. For some strange reason she have been consistently rude EACH time. From now on we will only order drinks when she's off.

Staff was nice and the drinks were as well. The specials were good too.

Bar was good but the food was just ok. Good menu but not great for the price...

🌟first time here. People are pretty cool. Definitely a place to hangout at. I really like this place.
