Truly a new venue is needed. Over crowded, and create a damn VIP section for crying out loud to separate the set. Get some booths in there, better yet a new location would be awesome. As much money goes into that place I’m really surprised better aesthetics is not offered to the people that frequent there.

Okay where to start?! This bar/club is in a neighborhood that is apparently changing (gentrifying) but draws a crowd of rowdy underage individuals on the weekends with fights in the parking lot. It feels very unsafe for people who are not from the area and there are much needed improvements on the inside. It’s 2021 but yet the bar does not accept debit/credit at the door or bar which is such an inconvenience. The pluses are the staff, the owner along with all the bartenders (that I’ve encountered) are super friendly and the drinks are very generous. I think this place has great potential for the location but there’s definitely some work to be done.

The Woodward is cool nice music and strong drinks. Been going here for years. They use to sale food as well but I think they discontinued that. Karaoke is on Sundays I believe. Overall a nice place to hang out and meet up with friends.

Love the shows and the staff and entertainers are nice and friendly. Drinks are strong and will knock you on your behind. I can do without the childish petty drama that usually takes place at the end of the night but other than that it's ok

very unsafe. last time i was here, me and my friends were harassed and followed around. and security gaurds weren’t doing anything. even after the man had followed us into the womens bathroom. also, people under the age of 21 can come here with or without an ID. but they have to pay $25. i think that is very irresponsible & shows lack of care for younger LGBT+ people. many men in there are predators. its also very cramped, and not covid friendly at all.

While people who are not from the area may consider this Neighbourhood unsafe, try to do some research first. You rarely hear about the ( Northend) on the news in regards to crime. The area that the Woodward bar resides in have generations of families that resides there. The owner”s and staff are always friendly, food is great and reasonably priced, and the people you meet there will more than likely become life long friends. As all things in life are not not perfect. There are a few things they can update, such as debit card usage. At one time they did except debit cards, and this should be reinstated as ppl do not like carry excessive cash around. The age limit should also be increased to at least 30 and over, as this will eliminate some of the the fights that occur there. Like any establishment you will always have the few troublemakers, but there are more good people who come to this bar than bad….I say experience it at least once…and judge for yourself.

This is the only gay bar in Detroit that caters to gay black URBAN youth. Fabulous Monday nights are laid back due to the drag shows. Best drinks and music. Avoid the fall out when the club closes; unless you’re into drunken drama.

Friendly bartender. Pricey drinks though... not quite sure why the gin & sodas were 18$ each. Even at doubles. Maybe they only wanted us in there for one

The place is very cool. The band playing was good. The drinks and bartender were execellant!! But the drinks were REDIULIOUSLEY HIGH!!! There were 3 of us and 2 rounds of cocktails came to $95. And that was not even top shelf!! Other than that its a cool place.
