This use to be my go to place for fun, scrumptious food and great entertainment/music. The crowd has shifted since the pandemic. They charge anywhere from 10-20 dollars to enter the establishment on the weekends and 20% gratuity for purchases(Drinks/Food). The food isn't as good as it use to be.Get this, per their website, if you're not satisfied with your food or drink, they will not refund you. There are too many nicer places downtown you can go that don't charge to get in. Floods, Do Better!!!

I had a horrible experience!!! I ordered food and drinks online. When I got to the establishment there was a $30 charge to get in and a line. When I explained that I was there to pick up my online order (after waiting in line...and watching security let their friends cut the line) the lady at the door was extremely rude. I waited 40 minutes for the waitstaff to FIND my order. Then on top of that when I explained I ordered a drink as well, the waitress said we dont do that and walked off. Floods is not what it used to be. I ended up with cold food and a headache. I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THEM AGAIN. 10+ customer lost.

Came here visiting my best friend from out of town .. good food good drinks .. ... could use a few more bar tenders because the crowd does get thick but I'm sure this is definitely a go to spot for locals. .I know I'll be back when I visit again

Not a huge fan of this place, security was rude.. The atmosphere was alright but forsure a little messy. People blocking the way allover and the service was extremely slow.. They also have a cover charge and charge automatic gratuity, which normally would be fine but 100% would not do this place again. I'd much rather take my money elsewhere..

I stopped by today for food, I normally just ride past cause I don’t care for the bar scene but I can honestly say it wasn’t nothing like I expected! My waitress was Harley with the blonde hair she was so welcoming, she suggested me the best items on the menu and they were just as she described! She was so genuine about everything I messed around and got drinks, she made sure to keep checking on me, the drinks were really good also the music was fair all in all a real chill place to vibe out, I can only imagine how it’ll be if I bring my girls with me! :)

Man I've been coming here for 3 years, it's always a vibe! Food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, the play great music, hood, R&B, old school, hustle, they play a mix of everything to satisfy everybody! The best bartender is Kelly! Go to her for great drinks and she takes care of you! The manager I love her, security is so cool, I highly recommend this place!!

Every time I come here they never disappoint. I have not had anything on the menu that is not good! We travel over an hour to this great place. Service is good as well. Great atmosphere for night life in Detroit. Always a great dancing spot as well. My wife and I truly enjoy going here. We will celebrate our anniversary here soon. One draw back is that I do not understand the 20% gratuity that is automatically added to your bill regardless of how many guests. Seems to be a thing at restaurants in Detroit. Otherwise flood’s does not disappoint. You will be satisfied. Thank you Floods!!!

Visited here for my first time last weekend and it was surprisingly a good experience. Granted, the one bar tender was completely overwhelmed trying to help roughly 30 people at once; but, somehow the man managed to pull it off as best he possibly could. Cover was $20 per person, valet was offered I’m sure at some rate, and security decently checked people…so yeah, there is that. The vibe was 25-45 in age as their DJ played rap/hip-hop and some upbeat R&B music from the 90s, 2000s, and forward with indoor and outdoor sides to the bar. I only had shots that night, (which were definitely ridiculously overpriced but a decent pour) so I couldn’t tell you how their drinks were; considering how the bar tender was hustling, I’m sure they are what you would imagine the quality to have been.

Flood's have fallen off. The food is great, but an updated menu is way overdue. The drink menu is bare and overpriced. I was advised they're no longer serving Hennessy due to distribution issues. The server was great! No complaints there. The atmosphere is always nice. Just wish they didn't attempt to make a table spend $400 minimum in order to continue sitting at the table.

This was the Worst experience I had at a restaurant in a long , I understand everyone is going through a difficult time doing the pandemic but that doesn’t mean you have to over charge your customers to make up for your lost during this time I dined in and had three drinks in ordered two dinners Togo, My bill was $83 ,Which $13.69 was for gratuity , I don’t know why because it was only four people in my party, The food was only a scoop for each side and minimum meat in each dinner, I use to frequent here at least every other month but now I will never return I know everyone is going through a rough time right now but I don’t feel we should be Over charged ..

My server was overwhelmed, but it was a young handsome dread head male, who’ve I stopped multiple times to assist me with things such as silverware and hot sauce and even a table clean. He helped me and my husband out with no problem, and he kept a big bright gorgeous smile on his face with laughter and a warm welcoming spirit So shout out to floods staff 5 stars.

Nice live music and relatively nice staff (females only). However, this spot is not a good place to pick up, nor to converse with women. Because, this spot is just a food and drink locale disguised as a dance club IMO. The women actually come here to eat. But they're dressed up as if they've come to party. The crowd is a seemingly mature crowd and I should actually fit into this crowd. But you see, I'm a man with no children. So my mentality is not so... settled in. I prefer a more youthfully energized environment. Not necessarily high school party energy. But early twenties to early thirties energy. A good reference point would be (The Annex crowd).

Great atmosphere, music, and the seafood sampler was very tasty. Our server was very pleasant. However, the other server for our family was rude. We spanned 4 tables yet, spent well worth our stay and yet she felt the need to tell my cousin's $200 dollars (their tab) later if you're not spending anymore money then you need to get up from the table. Not cool!!!

DJ was slamming!!! Great atmosphere! People were dancing, talking, and drinking. Place was clean! Bathrooms were clean surprisely for the amount of people in there. Servers were wearing masks but most the patrons were not. I would give this place a perfect 5 but the prices of their food is too high. $31 for wings and 2 sides, $10 for 5 wings, glad the water was free. I will go again but I am not buying any food.

This place is A-MAZE-N'!! I was in town from Little Rock, AR & dined here for brunch for the 1st time on yesterevening. FOOD: SURF N' TURF DEEP FRIED LOBSTER LOBSTER TAIL GRILLED LAMB CHOPS GREENS MAC N' CHEZ *The foods was absolutely delicious! Ambiance: Dj, hookah, food, drinks *Everyone was dressed so well & positive energy #GoodVibes SHOT OUT to the Manager on Duty. She was absolutely AWESOME!! If you know then you know.. I will MOST DEFINITELY BE BACK!!

Nice cool atmosphere! I heard great things from a few people. I didn't get the pleasure to try the food because I had to leave in a emergency. The karaoke section was live and entertaining! I wasn't sitting by the Karaoke section but from across the room..the voices and music sounded good in Harmony❤❤I think they have a dance floor there too. I will definitely visit this place again just so that I can really get to sit down, eat, drink and possibly dance! It looks nice inside too! Bonus! The waitress/waiters seem very nice! Great place to meal pre game before an event or just for happy Hour… the food had so much flavor especially love the breading on the salmon bites. The chicken was well seasoned as well and the prices were reasonable for the portions. It used to be a lil more classy and grown with enforced dress code. Now it’s like any-other spot with people dressed however and flooded with middle aged men minimal women filing the space. And the old school soul or R&B separation music on the dining/band section is no longer played

The food is delicious all meals are charge a 20% gratuity which I don't mind the food is delicious besides I usually leave 20 percent tip on takeout and between 30 to 50% on dine in depending on the service.. so it doesn't matter to me however I do think the pat Downs during the day is a little bit much there needs to be a distinction between shady characters vs Tourists, professionals etc I will say the staff here is extremely friendly ...being a conscious brother I only support restaurant establishments that are owned by us but I do understand because of covid-19 there's been a reduction of staff I do understand that but even prior to covid-19 it seems like our establishments are always severely under staff I'm all for maximizing profits but I think it hurts businesses when people have to wait extra long for the service so there needs to be a balance especially during maybe like peak hours.. I will say my order was done in a timely fashion but I've seen this complaint listed at many other establishments in my travels and you figure with technology if you can place orders online it should be able to help..

Good place and a great atmosphere. This is not a Vegan Friendly place. Hopefully they catch up with the times and add some vegan options to the menu. Other than that A1. Oh Yeah the DJ knows how to get the place jumping.

I went to this Establishment for my Niece's 30th Birthday. I ordered a wing dinner and all the drumstick had been removed. I tried to email them and the server was done. Needless to say, I won't be going back. Food cost too much to be cheated out of half of your wings.

That place was incredible. It was so live on a Sunday afternoon. The food was so good. The greens were delicious and thr fish and Mac and cheese was also great. The DJ was fire. I definitely will take my cousin for her birthday.

Went here as part of a date. It was eh. I had lamb chops, greens, and sweet potatoes. This was the first time that I’ve ever been served fatty lamp chops. The flavor was good, service okay. The atmosphere was cool, but you have to be a little turnt or on your way to turn up to match the vibe. I would probably go to this establishment again but if not I’ll be okay with that and I definitely wouldn’t take another hour drive for it. *My guy liked his food. *Drinks we’re okay.

What an experience. Never have I ever had a bill show up with an unexplained "fee" included. Oddly enough, upon bringing it up to the management, instead of explaining WHY there's a 1% fee automatically included on every check, they just took it off. Why would you have tried to STEAL 1% from every customer is astounding. Horrible business practice to blatantly steal from your customers, truly unethical. Also, it's not a club and if there's no dancing going on, the idea that the DJ plays the music so loud that you can't hear the person speaking next to you without them yelling is ridiculous.

Slim is was the best waiter!! I appreciate him to the fullest! He made sure my table was happy and satisfied! This was my first time here and because of him I will be coming back!!

Floods is still great vibes and times. Food, staff and entertainment is still on point from years ago. Angel the server was amazing. Very friendly, beautiful smile, attentive, and was there to answer all questions. Thank you Floods for the beautiful ambience.

Very very very nice bar and grill. Food was excellent, drinks are nicely done and you can taste the alcohol in them unlike other places that charge you a portion of your mortgage for a watered Sesame Street version of a margarita. Some very good looking waitresses working there, will be back soon.

This was my first time there is a while and do not remember having to pay a $20 the last time I was there ( Maybe it was because I was there on a Saturday night). The food was decent, small portions. The waitress was nice/nasty. She was nice on the surface but rolled her eyes every time for some reason. I didn't wait too long for my food but waited a really long time for the drink I ordered even though I placed the drink and food order at the same time and I had to pay for my entire order at the time that I place my order. So when it came time to leave, I still was waiting on my drink but had just about finished my food. I asked the waitress to remove the drink from my bill because I had to leave which she said she would but I later saw that she did not remove the drink from my bill and I was charged for it anyway. I do not think I will be going back to the establishment. It is not as good as I remember. And will not recommending that establishment to anyone either.

I went here for a family members birthday. I ordered chicken wings while I was there and got a to go order of catfish which looked like catfish nuggets instead of big pieces but everything was cooked perfectly and the wings had a nice crisp to them and the fish was perfectly battered. The person who took our order did a amazing job. She was very sweet and friendly from the moment I sat down until the moment I left. Also wanted to say that security handled the situation that almost ruined our night with professionalism and handled it very quickly before things got out of hand. The only issue I had was when I got overheated and almost passed out and asked for water only to get ignored by the bartender. Finally after 3 people yelled at him to give me a glass of water he turned around and acknowledged me.

This was my first time here. I went for a birthday reservation. Took a minute to get our table but after that things were smooth. Food and drinks were good. I had a good time, and they played good music.

Floods is one of my favorite bars/restaurants in the city! Great food, drinks, and service. Not to mention they always have awesome DJ’s spinning. What more could you ask for?

The security was very rude, upon entering the establishment. There were way too people in the bar which should be a safety hazard. My friend and I decided to dine in. The tables were not clean, waitresses were rude, walking around like they were lost, flirting with customers. It's clearly hard to fine good help. We order order our food. We already knew there was going to be a wait. The food was over priced $25 because gratitude was added for a six piece wing and fry. The audacity of them to ask for a tip. The wings were not satisfying at all.

Good is good. Service not so much. Tried to schedule a party. Only option is to schedule on their website. If there is any issue, call them. However, I've been calling for over a week and nobody ever picks up and can't leave a msg.

The bartender Tee was the absolute best! He was attentive and quick. He continued to keep up even as the crowd grew. I didn't have to continuously ask for water. He saw my glass and kept it refilled. I didn't feel hounded to buy drink after drink, but he made sure to keep an eye out by making simple eye contact to check on me and others at the bar.

Wonderful place with delicious drink and bar food. Best music and server, The experience was excellent so i will definitely stay there again.

It's a nice place

I was visiting from out of town and all I can say is that I will never go back there again. These people are rip offs. Why would you take people money to park and enter, and there is no seating or a place to stand without being in the way. Spend your money elsewhere.

It was horrible. Me & my friend ordered our drink & meals last night around midnight. Then the waitress disappeared & never checked on us. After sitting down for 45 minutes we kept seeing everyone else get their food & drinks so I walked to the bar & said something. The girl with bright red hair said give her a minute. So we waited 6 minutes & still nothing so we just walked out. My friend noticed our waitress had a guy there that she kept holding hands with & paying him attention. Im not from Michigan but i visit frequently & ill never come back to this place 😔

You must have to come very early to enjoy these 5 star services because I always experience the 2 star treatment if I get there after 8pm. The run down: No where to park, $10 valet, $10 cover, frisked at door, no where to sit, finally find a seat and can't find a waiter for 10 minutes. Finally get a waiter, she doesn't clean the table, she takes the order, takes 20 minutes and brings the wrong order with no utensils. I had to wait 20 more minutes for my correct order and no fork while my friend is starting to finish her meal. We screamed while having a conversation the whole night. Finally got my fork, ate, and left. The plus side: good music, good food, good spot when not crowded. But too expensive and waitress not attentive enough for me to come back. I almost did not tip because I had to flag down 3 waiters just to get 1 fork.

I am very disappointed in my service I asked the lady for buffalo shrimp she told me that the batter was not red enough that’s why I have regular shrimp.I have been here plenty of times and I ordered buffalo shrimp which is awesome, then I receive Regular batter shrimp I know what I want it’s very expensive Like 7 dollars for a 1/2 of cup of Mac&cheese the servers was very rude and she coughed right in our face with her mask off Under her shin the owner came to the table her hair was all her over her head dress like she’s about to go wash clothes,she was rude too ,just because she wanted to take up for her business which I understand But they treat their customers like that food they warm up in the microwave if I wanted leftovers I would have stayed at home I will not pay $130 just to eat leftovers and don’t let me get started on that re-fryer chicken I hope she takes consideration that your customers come first...

Horrible service. Brought my friend here from out of town. Waitress gave us water and disappeared. Then she finally took our drink and food order. She was nowhere to be seen for 40 minutes so we asked the girl at the bar if we could at least get our drinks. She told us to wait a minute while she hung and and kissed her boyfriend at the bar. Our waitress finally came out and said she would bring our drinks. She disappeared into the back with another male “associate “ and never returned. We finally left after waiting over an hour and never even got our drinks let alone our food. Very disappointed
