Came on Saturday around 1pm and was about an hour and 15 min wait (there is an atrium in the building with comfortable seating). They don't take reservations and it isn't a very big restaurant , so highly recommend you plan accordingly. We probably ended up waiting around 45 min because we didn't mind eating at the bar. It was definitely worth the wait! I got the duck bap hash and my husband got the key lime French toast. Both were flavourful and interesting dishes that were moderately priced. It felt like a really great establishment, it's hard to describe but it felt inclusive and welcoming. Note if you park at the financial district parking they will validate parking for first 2 hours.

I got my Corned Beef omelette with lite sauerkraut and chose a biscuit over toast. Their biscuits are made in house and are the best damn biscuits I have ever had! The Omelette was also amazing, so tasty and cooked to perfection. Waffle was really good too. Perfect lite crispy outside and fluffy inside 😍

Very interesting place in Downtown Detroit. Very hip, artsy, and open space. Service is wonderful, but the menu is really the star of this place. I never thought about eating a spicy rice bowl for breakfast, but this is exactly what I did and it was delicious. Their Biscuits are out of this world delicious, especially with the strawberry jam they offer. Ask for Kelly Ann when you arrive, and you might just have a breakfast experience that will last you a lifetime.

Great dive restaurant, it’s not going to be a quiet place to go get a bite… but you will be so glad you did!!! For real, awesome service. From the management and my server. I went in and sat at the bar area watching the cooks. They did great and we’re very efficient and working hard. The drinks were Good. The food even better. I loved my experience here and met some awesome people. Will for sure be back.

The service was great. They was a wait time for dining in (about 30 minutes). Waffles were soft and fluffy but had that nice waffle crisp. The chai latte was warming. The fries and hast were seasoned well. I would have taken a picture of the french toast my son had but he demolished them.

Every dish arrived exactly as anticipated. Full of flavor! The peach cobbler French toast actually tasted like peach cobbler really good! Ingredients were all fresh. Price was worth it to me. I will definitely visit again

Small restaurant with amazing breakfast. A couple friends and I split a couple different plates. French toast with peaches was 12/10 and the chicken shawarma hash was pretty good as well. If you're a fan of biscuits, definitely get that instead of the English muffin, it's huge! Small wait but worth it, even with it being busy our server was attentive. Glad to have found this place, will be back.

This is definitely one of my favorite brunch place in Michigan as they have great ambience and versatile menu. They have a number of good options to choose from, starting from English brunch dishes to Korean style dishes and not to forget their refreshing cocktails. If you are looking forward to an experience apart from your regular brunch dates then this is your place to be. And kudos to their Manager for such a friendly welcome and to their servers for providing immediate attention.

The best eggs Benedict!!!! I had the veggie Benny’s and they were perfect. The roasted tomato, the bread, the hollandaise sauce, the egg was cooked to perfection 🤩 the salad dressing was great, nice and tangy. Our waitress, Melody B, was so kind and efficient. Go there for brunch for the best start to your day

It is really fantastic little place in the financial district of Detroit. I had the cheese steak which was excellent and the breakfast potatoes were absolutely fabulous. The seasoning on the potatoes was perfect and they were cooked perfectly. My date said the salmon was amazing and she raved about the salad as being so fresh with wonderful dressing. She asked for ranch also but she said didn’t need it after tasting the quality of the vinaigrette. I tasted her ranch and it was so good. 😊

Fantastic spot for brunch! The wait is long but you can put yourself on the wait list and they'll text you when it's ready. Food was fantastic, the ambience is great, and the staff us very nice. Highly recommend. Prices were also great. Serving sizes were large, would recommend sharing unless you love leftovers!

Decided to check out Dime Store for brunch on the recommendation of a friend and it was delicious! Expect a wait to get in, but it’s well worth it. The peach mimosas were awesome and I can’t recommend the smoked salmon benedict enough. And of course I appreciate the Ron Swanson quote on the wall 🥓🍳

An awesome little restaurant hidden in the building. It's a go too spot for many who know but because it doesn't have large street signs, you can get a table pretty quick and walk in most of the time. The food is very solid! Fresh ingredients with specials and lots of flavors in everything. Many classics and some new spins on favorites. You can tell they have a wonderful cooking team and fantastic head chef. I've never had anything I wouldn't order again. It's all delicious! Service is fairly prompt and very attentive to any needs. They're friendly and it's noticeable they enjoy the work. Keep up the great work y'all!

A very busy spot for brunch place in Detroit. And I can see why. They have a variety of dishes to choose from and I tried like 5 different dishes. And none of them disappointed me. Instead better than what I was hoping for. Drinks were great as well. You can expect the wait time to be like 30mins to 1 hour. Luckily, I only had to wait about 25 mins.

The food was so good it felt like a crime. Some of the best food I’ve ever had. By far the best brunch spot in Detroit. We ordered the spicy Korean fries which is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life nothing should ever be that delicious! I also had the potato hash and whew it was so good and that homemade biscuit and blueberry jam is out of this world. The mimosa was also one of the best mimosas I’ve ever had. The service was amazing too! There was a wait to be seated which is understandable and worth it because it’s so amazing but as soon as we got seated service was quick. We had Kelly who was a fantastic server and made the already great experience even better. I will most certainly be back soon!

Prime brunch spot within walking distance to Campus Martius that boasts fantastic food and service! We put our name down for a table and walked around while we waited. They were even accommodating to our request for a booth! Lauren was friendly and helpful with the menu. We took to her suggestions and shared the duck bop hash and bacon avocado omelette, along with a biscuit and some gravy. The omelette was absolutely fresh and delicious and the duck hash was bursting with amazing spice and flavor, totally next level! The gravy was very tasty, we only wished it was served hot and not lukewarm, but they were very busy so it was understandable. Loved the heart and soul feel from this place. Even the blueberry jam for the toast is made in house!

Dime Store has been on my list of places to try in Detroit for quite some time. My friends and I finally decided to try it for brunch this past weekend. First and foremost, there is a long wait. We were estimated about 80 minutes but really waited 50 minutes(better than 80). When we were finally seated inside you could see how small the place was. It’s more of a diner vibe which explains the long wait times. We were seated by the bar and could see all the cooks working hard to get the food out. The cooks are masked which was a bonus especially with new COVID variants coming out. Our waitress was very nice and took our orders very quickly. I ordered the French Toast with fruit which was delicious with a side of Dearborn ham.My friend ordered the sausage hash, which she said was delicious. The only con was that her food wasn’t as hot as she was expecting. I also ordered the truffle fries to go and they were so good. Overall all it was a good experience and I’m glad we went. The food came out pretty fast despite how busy the place was.

I've been a few time now, and the place is always busy, but for good reason! The food is delicious! I had the Popeye's benediction and the spicy rice bowl. I recommend them both!

VERY GOOD! We saw this place was rated number one on a lot of things so I figured we should try it. The service was great. Everyone was very nice. I ate the Cheesesteak Benny, it was delicious. The potatoes that came with it were very good as well. Great breakfast/brunch place to eat while in Detroit!

I really enjoyed this place. I knew coming here it was going to be a long wait. They were organized and was able to get me in and out efficiently. All the food I had was great and I will definitely be back to check it out

My favorite breakfast in Detroit!!! I love the hash with sausage and egg. Also the Irish coffee is good. Is always crowded, so if you arrive between 10-1130 yo will probably wait between 30 min - 1 hour. But it's worth it.

We came when the restaurant was understaffed and at a busy time, but the crew handled it really well. Our food came at a reasonable time, and the service was great. I don't know the last time I just had a solid waffle, no frills. It was delicious. The Philly Cheese Steak Benny was an absolute hit!

It is worth the wait! We came in at 8:45am on a Saturday and they were busy. An hour and a half wait so we went and grabbed coffee and walked around. They will txt you when you need to come back which is great. I had the the Cheesesteak Benny and my wife had the Duck Hash. They were both amazing we had them down and gone before the server could ask how things were. Even the side of fruit was a generous size. All in all a great breakfast and worth the wait.

My best friend and I went in yesterday afternoon for a nice little brunch. Our server was Ken and let me tell you, KEN IS THE BEST! So nice, so accommodating, and very friendly! The food was a little on the average side. I had the veggie omelette and my friend had the grits and sausage. We also had the apple waffle and it was DIVINE! It was packed when we got there so you may be elbow to elbow with another table. Despite that, this place is most definitely a must try! Will be back!

First thing’s first what can be said about Dime Store? Well, being a solo eater I was able to get a spot at the bar immediately and the staff at the bar were able to tend to me immediately thereafter as well. The food to put it quite simply was exquisite and all for an affordable price. I spent no more than $40 total during both days I ate there while staying in Detroit. The food excites the taste buds in every which way and my first Vernors soda was equally delicious. I didn’t get pics of my food as I wanted to enjoy it, but the atmosphere was simply fantastic! You walk in through the lobby of the main building and the lobby is so posh and comfy. Then you sit down inside the restaurant and it’s packed, people are enjoying themselves and everyone is welcoming of opposing fans for NFL game day. Though there were many Lions fans, there were a few Panthers fans like myself and we felt welcome there. The decor gives a laidback vibe and makes one feel at home. I especially liked the quote about breakfast and the Eisenhower poster. I read somewhere that Detroit is the most welcoming city for opposing fans and this further convinced me to be the case. Dime Store isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a hub where we can all congregate as fans. I intend on returning to Detroit next year so I know where to stop for brunch yum yum! And remember, say nice things about Detroit.

Went to Dime Store for Sunday brunch. There was an hour wait for a party of 4. Once we were seated, the service was quick. The staff was friendly. The drinks were tasty. The food was good. I wasn't a fan of the enchilada omelette. It was a bit bland. We split the bill, which was roughly $53/each. Overall, I think the Dime Store is a great spot and will return soon.

Had a great breakfast there today. Been dying to try here and today was the day. Told us (party of 2) 90 min wait. It was only about 45 mins. Gay Pride parade gathering out front so lots going on. Christine was our waitress and she was awesome. From the mimosas and bloody Mary’s to the corn chowder (best we’ve ever had!) and our breakfasts …. All was perfection. We had classic poached eggs and chef special of banana pudding waffle. Both were excellent. Worth the wait. Charming atmosphere, great vibe with the staff and other customers and an all around good experience. We will be back!

We went on a Sunday morning (family of 4) waited less than an hour even though it was packed. The food was excellent no complaints at all! It was a little pricier for a breakfast place but worth it as there were limited breakfast options in the area. Eggs Benedict, french toast with fresh fruit, salmon sandwich, biscuits and gravy, and ham and cheese omelette.

A must try breakfast/brunch spot in downtown Detroit. A quaint spot tucked inside the Chrysler House building. A small unique menu; putting a sophisticated spin on traditional brunch items. Party tried different omelettes, waffles, brioche French toast, and hash. Every item was plated so neatly, very fresh, and they all tasted amazing! Every coffee beverage was tasty too! Service was so friendly and we would absolutely go back!!

Smal, somewhat noisy place, but awesome brunch items on the menu. Had the corned beef hash and the pork belly and grits and both were very well done and extremely tasty. Service was quick and competent, and the coffee was good

Dime store has been on my list of restaurants to try out for quite some time. This place is famous for their incredibly long wait times and amazing food. I had been here a couple of times but was always disappointed with the wait times and never actually made it to the restaurant until today. We had a wait time of 1hr 15mins but we were seated almost after 35 mins. It’s a cozy little spot with delicious brunch and lunch options. The service is pretty fast. I tried their Ginger Eggnog Brioche French toast which i thoroughly devoured. Chai latte with Oat milk was so yummy. My friend and I enjoyed their Veggie Benny and home fries. Would definitely recommend checking out this place. They don’t take call ahead or reservations. You could put your name down and take a stroll around Campus Maritus Park or River walk which is just a walking distance away. Must try place if you’re in Detroit downtown for brunch or lunch.

Dime Store is a great spot in downtown Detroit for breakfast, brunch, lunch or cocktails. It's small, so be prepared for a wait during key hours and on the weekends, but the staff is friendly and fast and tables turnover fairly quickly. I've dined here twice and did notice that both times my food was delivered lukewarm - similar feedback was shared from a friend that frequents here. Despite that, everything I've had is delicious and the corned beef hash (pictured)/omelette is spot on.

We visited the Dime Store after going to Cobo Hall for the 🖼 Van Gogh exhibition. We had a 35 minute wait to get into the restaurant. The server never came, but another server attended to us. I asked for coffee ☕️ , but was never offered a refill. The 🥣 chowder was exceptional. The 🍟 fries were tasty, but didn’t taste good reheated. I wished they would have offered a cup of the mustard that came with the fries in a to go container as I was taking these to my son. The Brussel sprouts were terrible. I took the fries 🍟 and Brussel sprouts in two 2️⃣ to go container. I had to ask for a bag 💼 for the two boxes 📦 . Initially, the server only brought me one 1️⃣box for the two 2️⃣different items and I had a lot of fries and Brussel sprouts remaining. When we opened up the Brussel sprouts at home to reheat, they smelled like old gym shoes mixed with bad body odor. 🤥🤮🤢They were absolutely awful! 🤮As a vegetarian, I felt like the menu at this restaurant was limited. If you’re looking for breakfast, this is the place.

Had a good dining experience here even though it was a busy Saturday lunch rush. I got the duck bop dash platter thing and the flavours married together very well. We tried their eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were so fluffy and I liked the taste of the sausage gravy. Would recommend.
