The restaurant was beautiful. The menu was simple. They could have gone a little more in depth of what came in the meal. We each had two drinks. My wife ordered the age steak. I ordered the burger and fries. We felt the burger was better than the steak. My wife asked for medium and 3/4 steak came out medium. We finished with two creme brulee desserts that were amazing. One of the best things about the restaurant was the service. Not once did anyone let my water go empty. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the drinks and food.

Fantastic place, from the ambiance, to the drinks, food, and service. I was visiting from out of town and was fortunate enough to eat here twice. The burger is excellent, and the potstickers and wings were also very good and adequate in portion size. I had the Old Fashioned tamarind cocktail, very tasty. Several tables around me also shared that they enjoyed their meal and dining experience. I definitely recommend this place, especially if you want high quality food. FYI this would make a great date spot.

Delicious food, amazing staff, and great atmosphere. My husband and I are convinced their brussel sprouts are the best in Detroit! The service was attentive and knew what we needed before we asked. My husband loved their steak tartar (I'm not a fan. It had great flavor, but I'm just not into tartar period). The decor is beautiful, and they have a little garden room with lanterns that would be lovely for a small party. We will be back for sure!

Wow! There's so much good to say about this place. This is one of my greatest dining experiences. The staff are exceptional. Very detailed, friendly and efficient. It's evident they are there to make your experience something special. I had booked dinner, in advance, for a small party of 7 and they were incredibly accommodating. The food is incredible. With a constant changing menu and great selection. Dairy free menu is available and vegan/vegetarian options can also be had. There's even a wonderful selection of mocktails in addition to their great cocktails and other options. And finally. The atmosphere. Superb! A late dinner in the evening makes it very relaxed and super chill. Great place for any special event or date. This will become one of my favorites and a special part of any visit I make to Detroit.

Definitely is a place to check out. Food was delicious. New York strip was a quality cut, and their homemade fries were delicious. Their homemade pasta and the flavorful sauce was out of this world. Excellent experience and will go back. The management and servers were really nice and pleasant.

I love getting down to Detroit and love discovering a new place for dinner. Grey Ghost did not let us down. The host was incredibly pleasant even on a very busy July 3rd evening. Our waitress was prompt and greeted us with a smile. She suggested placing our entire food order and she would ensure it was properly timed. She did not let us down. We ordered 5 shareable's and just as we were finishing one, the next showed up. We had a brief break between our starters and our main course which we filled with a perfectly timed 2nd drink. Everything was amazing, but the Halibut was perfection. I've not had Halibut that nicely prepared since leaving the Pacific coast 20 years ago. My partner was amazed by the scallops, which is not easily done when it comes to them. All in all it was a perfect date night.

Great Detroit dining experience. Delicious apps and large dishes. Flavourful meats and tenderness of the lamb and wagyu steak. Innovative flavours of some ingredients really solidified the dining experience. Wait staff and host were friendly and I believe the owner/manager walked around to make sure everyone was happy at their dining tables and bar. Will be returning when back in Detroit!

Went here for our anniversary, food was good, loved the vibe! Thank you for the card from the restaurant, it was a lovely surprise. Cocktails were amazing, staff were nice. The pancake is highly recommended, duck breast and ravioli were okay, fries sauce was nice!

The waitress was phenomenal! The food was great! The only negative was the lighting was so dark! But it was a whole mood for sure! The drinks were my favorite! This cookie with the frosting 😋😋😋 my FAVORITE each little drink has a cute little topper wonderful time. Expensive, but great nonetheless

Cocktails at the bar, followed by cocktails and a meal inside. For both cocktails (Rightful Heir and Pillow Talk) flavours were very complex and well put together. The sesame and the black pepper in the Pillow Talk were especially well thought out! Food was also very good, the burger juicy and flavoursome. I recommend the Brussels sprouts! Vibe is bouncy, very friendly staff, and good music. There's a handy cash lot across the way for parking. 5 stars.

Loved this place! The ambiance was beautiful. Food was great, our favorite being the cauliflower app. I loved the drink menu, which cocktails were sorted by shaken vs stirred. We also ordered the fried bologna, duck, and steak, all of which were good.

Had a great birthday gathering. The food, drinks, and service were wonderful! The food was melt in your mouth delicious, the signature cocktails, although not for me were all unique in flavor and presentation. Mine came with a little red cape and it's own mini ice bath.

Grey Ghost is one of my favorite stops in Detroit! I love coming down here. I always have a phenomenal experience. The staff is amazing everytime. Make sure you have a reservation! They have an amazing burger. The Brussel sprouts are rich and the best I have had in a while. Their drink’s are delicious as well! Can’t wait to go back

Getting a table is the hard part. Go early and sit at the bar. First of all the fillet is delectable, order it medium, ask for extra sauce. The pork tenderloin comes with a surprise, big chuck of pork belly cooked crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The wait staff was on point, great service, wonderful suggestions and descriptions of the food and drinks. The food service was great, runners immediately delivered the plates from the kitchen.

Delicious, ambiance, and original. Also, simple little thing, I love that they take your entire order, and your server paces it out for you... never feeling rushed and never felt like I waiting. Perfection.

Grey Ghost is an upscale staple in downtown Detroit. It offers an intimate candle lit experience for groups of all sizes. During the summer, they have outdoor seating that is quite cozy. It's best to pair a couple appetizers with the main course, as it's served as a multi course meal. It's also one of the rare restaurants I order a dessert from. The drinks are strong, bold and at times a bit flashy. It's also walking distance from The Little Caesars Arena and it's usually always busy. Safe yourself the wait and make a reservation!

Made our first visit to Grey Ghost last night and enjoyed it. The atmosphere is good, it is definitely on the loud side when busy, but that is what they're going for. Service wise everyone was very friendly, but it was also slow. We were seated 20 minutes after our reservation and the food and drinks took awhile to come out. If it's busy, be prepared to wait. Fortunately the food was excellent! The pork shank was better than expected, a bargain for the price. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly. The French fries were a nice starter, a bit on the salty side but that didn't stop us from eating every last one.

We had such an incredible 7 course tasting menu with drink pairing here. Each course was so fantastic and based on what the chef had sourced locally that day (including the tomatoes he had picked from his own backyard garden). We had varied courses including heirloom tomato salad, duck breast with spicy house-made barbeque sauce, dry aged NY strip, and apple crumble with house-made Camembert ice cream. The drinks paired perfectly and were a mix of wines and cocktails that complimented the course. Our group had a wonderful time bantering and chatting with the staff and chef. One of the best meals I have had anywhere in the world. If you are looking for exceptional food, plating, and cocktails, you must come here.

Cool, upbeat atmosphere in a nice but unpretentious space. Shared a couple of appetizers and entrees with my wife on a visit here. They seem to be known for their cocktails which looked good but unfortunately we didn’t have any. The Brussels sprouts were incredible and I’d highly recommend them. The fries on the other hand, not so much; they were extremely salty and somewhat burned. Not up to expectations for a restaurant like this. The aioli that they came with was quite good though rather “dill forward” as a heads up. Entrees were quite good though a little pricey in my opinion. Food took a while to come out. All in all it was a little pricey for the experience/quality though I can see why some people have this as a must visit restaurant in Detroit!

Some of the foods were lacking. Scallops were a bit burnt and the tacos flavour were not our cup of tea. But omg please get the Brussels sprouts, definitely stole the show. The waitress and service was great. The restaurant itself was decorated beautifully and the atmosphere was very inviting. Drinks were interesting as they make everything in house, don’t expect your regular flavours. Overall, we enjoyed it.

Grey Ghost has a great ambiance. I came on a week night and it was packed. There was a bit of a wait but I was able to get seating at the bar. The food was fresh, service was friendly and fast. The staff here are really attentive. The bartender was great. The hosts in the front were really kind and energetic. The food was really tasty and fresh. The portions were a bit small for the price. For the carrot salad, scallops, and fries I paid close to $100 after tip which seemed high albeit the food was great quality. I would definitely recommend checking it out. There seemed to be a lot of regulars at this spot.

Upon walking into this establishment, it had a relaxed, upscale vibe. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get 2 sits at the bar! We were greeted immediately, our bartender was outstanding. The knowledge and skill of these mixologists are incredible. As we glanced over the menu, there weren't a ton of options and all the food was Ala carte . Nevertheless, the duck and boned in ribeye were superb. The Brussels spouts with chicken skin are a must try! We were told the menu changes every two weeks, certain items stayed but the majority of entrees were somewhat seasonal. It is one the pricey end but it is all about what you want. Its a perfect date night Restaurant, highly suggest reservations!!

We dropped in here before our flight back to Denver. First off, the food was out of this world. Haven't had this good of food and/or preparation since we went to The French Laundry. That's not the best part. Our bartender/waiter was a master mixologist who could communicate the company culture, food ideology and ingredients like a Michelin star chef. Will absolutely be back, cannot wait! Great job Grey Ghost Detroit, you perfectly execute all aspects of a great food and drink experience!

We got there after 11 so they were on the late night menu. I ordered the Burger and fries and it was ok. My friend had the roasted watermelon and it tasted like pickled onions with cold watermelon and pepper..he liked it tho! Asked the bartender to pick a drink for me and it was pretty good. I don't think I would eat here again but if you're into drinks this is definitely the place.

Great food, awesome atmosphere. The drinks were very good, different than you can get elsewhere and the same goes for the food. Smoked watermelon was delicious- tastes just like pizza! The filet and duck were both very good. Highly recommend!

The burger is expensive but it's one of the best I've ever had in my life. Great burger and great drinks. This place is usually pretty busy so expect to wait 20-30 minutes to get a seat. I ended up waiting 20 minutes on a Saturday night and ended up hanging out at the place across the street "the second best" until our table was ready. I believe both bars are owned by the same person. Overall a great downtown bar.

One of the best places to eat in midtown and downtown Detroit. They have new menu items seasonally and the food is always delicious. The burger is to die for!! My mom always wants to go here when she’s visiting from out of town because it’s some of the best food she’s ever had! The staff are great and helpful with the menu. Atmosphere is great for a date night, girls night, or even before/after a sporting event.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. It was amazing! Seemingly nestled in a more residential, condo/loft style neighborhood. All of the staff were friendly. The owner was on the floor and visible the entire time. Our server recommended the craft cocktail called Pharaoh's Daughter and it was amazing! My pasta was excellent! I was a bit disappointed with the amount of them I was given, but they were delicious. The fries were definitely something to try! My husband got the burger with an egg. It's a smash burger. He loved it. A bit messy so he ate a lot of it with a fork. We had a card waiting for us on our table because I notified them when I made my reservation that it was our anniversary. All of the staff signed it. It was cute. We also got a champagne toast at the beginning and 2 small cookies at the end of our meal. It is a cozy place, awesome atmosphere, and again, very friendly staff. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely return!

A new favorite for me in Detroit. We went for NYE for a cocktail and ended up staying for three! Fantastic service and such a fun place to ring in the New Year. Alex was a super knowledgeable bartender and a cool guy to hang at the bar with. Music was on point.

Amazing service. The food was outstanding. My husband is still talking about the unique drink menu. We sat on the patio, there was an event happening at the Little Cesar arena so the traffic is was the only downside.

Always a treat. Our servers made a great team and took very good care of us. The cocktails were beautifully prepared and served. I love how often the menu switches up and how fresh everything always is. Must stop while in the city

Unbelievable atmosphere and amazing food! My wife said the cheeseburger was the best she's ever ever had. The Snapper was delicious as well! James' service was some of the best in the city. Also shout out to Allison who really elevated our experience as well! We will be back!

I was looking for a restaurant not too far from the Fox theater because I was attending a concert with my son. I tried to make reservations online and had difficulty. I spoke to a nice young lady and she got me a reservation. I’ve never been to this restaurant and our sever Ibrahim was very attentive and he suggested a cocktail that complimented my meal. We were asked about special occasions or dietary restrictions and that was awesome. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean. The food and service was excellent and I’m sure I’ll be back.

Met a few buddies for dinner here to catch up who I haven’t seen in years. The server was great and had some excellent cocktail recommendations that everyone enjoyed. We split some appetizers, but the fried bologna was by far the best. I ended up ordering the Lamb chops since I haven’t had those in years, and they were amazing. Looking forward to my next visit.

Ended up here after some disappointment at another local establishment. It was slammed on a Monday night, but I managed to get a seat at the bar, where they serve the full menu. Great selection of scotches, and their mixology game was really on point. I was on the end of the bar and saw the great looking cocktails parading by all night. There were dozens of bottles with different bitters and mixers and all the bar staff really seemed committed to great execution of each order. Ordered the lamb striploin and it was better than I had hoped. All in all, a great experience and the place seemed incredibly well run to handle the crowd. Will return on next trip.

Just WOW! This was an experience! Every single thing was different from the usual! The menu is short but full of creative options for any palate. All of us were raving about the flavor, quality, and presentation of the food! It was a wonderful experience! In addition, the service was impeccable!

First time dining with Grey Ghost and it was absolutely delicious! The hostess was a doll and honored our request for the private booth seating. Our waitress was a pleasure and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The filet, fries and brussel sprouts were enough for 2 people. Our dining experience could not have been any better. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

The food was DELICIOUS. I would give it 5 stars, but we waited an hour for our dinner. Appetizers included fried bologna (SOOO GOOD), husband had double bone pork chop and I had the burger with fried egg. Very good food.
