Ahh! After reading the ratings on google and yelp I reaaaaallly reaaaallly tried to like this place but the food was not up to par. First, the server didn’t see passionate about the menu. We did the chef curated experience. Started the coarse with crackers with some type of preserve. Then a course with cold soup and two salads. The beet salad was the best out of the three. My highlights of meal was the ravioli and lamb bolognese. The polenta dish had no flavor, sauce with the steak super salty. Pistachio gelato was good but super salty but topping.

Great restaurant and an even better staff. My wife and I came here and did the tasting menu with the wine pairing. I would say the food was a 4star but the experience was 5star. I’d highly recommend doing that menu option so that you can explore everything they have to offer. Chef Anthony stopped by our table and was kind and welcoming and Michael our Sommelier was also awesome. I would definitely recommend and definitely be coming back.

There is nothing like in house, freshly made pasta. The pasta at SheWolf delivers on flavor and texture, using a high quality whole grain & semolina mix. Drinks are good and the staff is more than helpful. Love that the food is delivered with a great description from the server.

After two weeks of dining out at high end restaurants in Montreal, Toronto and Detroit, I did NOT expect SheWolf to be one of my favorites. It’s hot in Detroit right now, and we did not have great expectations for a bright, flavorful meal with charming and professional waitstaff and food that was just stunning! Look at my pictures to feast with your eyes, but here I’ll try to explain the foods that were seasonal delights. Fresh Focaccia with whipped butter, cheese and olive oil. How is it that butter can be so light and flavorful?? I need to finish this review in the morning. I’m just too blown away by our meal right now (and my two Aperol there years spritzes!)

The restaurant is on the smaller side but they do have an outdoor seating area which adds a lot of tables. Pretty ambiance. We were a party of 4 and our dining experience took around 2 hours in total. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. We ordered the blue steel focaccia and pomodori crudi as our appetizers and cacio de pepe, chitarra Al cinghiale, francobolli and zucca Alla San Daniele as our entrees. All of the food was fantastic truly. The least liked dish of all was cacio de pepe because it was the blandest of them. We all wished the portions were a little bit larger. The focaccia literally came with 4 slices of bread- one per person. It was fresh and amazing but we had extra gorgonzola butter left and asked our server if we could have some more bread and she brought it but it seemed like stale bread- definitely not the same fresh bread we received initially. Plus they charged us $3 extra for that. It's just that kind of thing that would prevent us from ever returning....it's like nickel and diming for something so insignificant and it turns clients off from returning. Overall, food is amazing- but to us personally, not worth the large bill. For four of us it was $200 with tip and only 2 glasses of wine... Two appetizers, four pastas and one dessert. We realize it's upper scale fine dining but still overpriced for what you receive. Just our opinion.

We had absolutely amazing appetizers, pasta, main courses, wine, and our waiter was great! The peach cinnamon sorbet was one of the best desserts I've ever had. I'll definitely be coming back soon.

Made a reservation for one, which is hard to get at a lot of places, but I travel for work and I appreciate a good meal. Both my Gin Negroni & Mezcal Negroni were delicious, perfectly made and had a dreamy clear logo pressed ice cube. Every drink I witnessed come out of the bar looked fantastic. The restaurant was well decorated, dimly lit & had a balanced interior. Excellent POMODORI CRUDI VG N Michigan heirloom tomatoes, basil purée, toasted pine nuts to start, followed by RECCHIETTE AL SALSICCIA einkorn orecchiette, clams, Michigan pork sausage, pepper soffrito then I wanted to try another pasta so I ordered the BUCATINI ALL’AMATRICIANA guanciale, San Marzano organic tomatoes, Pecorino Romano. The Bucatini was my favorite and I am already planning my second visit to get more amazing pasta. Ordered the TORTA DI CIOCCOLATO GF V flourless chocolate cake, crème anglaise, honeycomb, chantilly for dessert to go to eat in my hotel room and it’s the most decadent chocolate cake I have ever had. May not sleep after this cake but it will be worth it.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. The first carbonara I’ve liked more than my own.

Beautiful ambiance, great customer service and delicious food! Having a culinary background, I love whenever I go to restaurants and I can catch a glimpse of the action going on in the kitchen (and in the case of SheWolf - the pasta making room). We celebrated my girlfriends birthday and SheWolf made it so special. The food was on point and very well seasoned. You can tell the attention to detail is something that isn't skimped on here. Looking forward to coming again soon! Thank you for a delicious meal! Would be great if there were some halal options added to the menu in the future to open up the restaurant to even more folks (fingers crossed lol)

Wanted to do the tasting menu, but the other couple with us couldn't budget it and everyone at the table has to have it. No matter we ended up having numerous "shareable" plates and then a main entreé. Was so happy with everything that I caught myself doing the little sitting happy dance with a couple of the dishes. Such amazing food.

I always love coming here for the ambiance and service. Although they rotate the menu and some of your favorites are no longer offered, they do a great job with selecting palatable replacements. I’ve never had an entree from here that I did not enjoy.

I went to this restaurant because I heard it has a high average spending per person, and I wanted to see what delicious food they offer. When we arrived around 8 PM, only outdoor seating was available, separated from a school parking lot by a wire fence, which didn't create a pleasant atmosphere. However, the waitstaff was very welcoming and provided excellent service, which compensated for the unsatisfactory ambiance. We ordered a few dishes. To be honest, the taste was good, but considering the prices, it fell a bit short. The cocktails tasted really good. Nonetheless, our overall impression was still positive.

Had an amazing dinner at SheWolf with exceptional service from our waitress! They were so accommodating of my gluten/wheat allergy and curated a whole meal of gluten free plates for me and my wife. Would come back in a heartbeat

This is hands-down the best dinner spot in Detroit. We absolutely love it here. Brandon, the Bar Manager, and Dan, their Sommelier, are incredible, and always make us feel special when we visit SheWolf. The food here is incredibly creative and unique, and we’re constantly blown away by the amazing dishes they come up with. If you’re looking for a place downtown to have an amazing meal, this is your spot. Try the scallop entree! It’s the best seafood dish in town, hands down!

Mixed feeling about this place. First off the food is amazing! Everything fresh, well cooked, simple and very tasty. The tomatoes were fantastic and the pastas were very good. Maybe our server just wasn’t very good, but the service was pretty poor. 45mins between antipasti and pasta is crazy, 30mins for a glass of wine 🤷🏻‍♀️. Glad we didn’t take the recommendations as we would have over ordered by factor of two. Fantastic cooking though.

The waitstaff was great, explained every dish very well. Italian specfic to Rome. The atmosphere was great, and there was an active view of the kitchen. Would also be a great place for an after work drink and Gelato.

Trendy restaurants seem to be the new concept in Detroit these days. A few that we've been to have been over the top trying to be as unique as possible. SheWolf really did an excellent job. You must make a reservation, there are no seats available for walk ins, that's how popular this place is. Walking through the giant double doors, you come to a curtain. The curtain adds a bit of curiosity and mystery. "What's on the other side"? There is an open air kitchen and a glass walled pasta making room, where they mill their own flour! There are many 2 top tables and a handful of larger tables for bigger groups to dine. The menu is where they lose 1 star from the rating. With the micro menu, everything is Ala carte. Ordered the Wagyu Carpaccio but had to order the bread separate. Also the meal is designed to be a 4 piece meal and the portions of everything except the main course reflects that. Meaning the appetizers, pasta dishes and desserts are all very small portions. The main course was exceptional. The picture attached is the 23oz. ribeye steak with mushrooms and onions. The prices are very high for this restaurant. I would normally expect to spend that much at a high end steak restaurant. I probably won't go back because of the pricey menu but I recommend trying it out at least once, the staff are very friendly and attentive.

Omg the food is sooo freaking delicious!! The drinks as well and the staff was super nice and helpful. Definitely great for a date or an outing with friends. The prices were alright for the area. Their Pasta was cooked on point 👌 will be back for sure !

The food, experience and the team was great! We did the chef's menu with wine pairing and everything was great! The wines paired were fully explained to us and the food was also well explained! Maybe it was just our night, but there was too much food and literally cannot eat anymore! Which is not bad! It just shows how the team values their customer. Best bang for the bucket for a restaurant!

Great ambiance, very eclectic restaurant design layout etc. Great looking bar and food however for the prices I wouldn’t come here often or might be hesitant to come again. We order 3 pastas alla arrabiatta, francobolli and ragú al bolognese. The stuffed pasta pesto was by far the best tasting but they give you 6. For $22 I expect at least double that so I was very disappointed but it’s a learning experience to not go to restaurants that do that. The ragú was ok but the flavor of the ragú just wasnt there. I think it may have been too much meat or perhaps too much of one specific meat that over powder the flavor of the entire dish. The arrabiatta was ok but again for the flavor and quantity not worth the price. The whole wheat focaccia was cooked great and quite tasteful. The cheese spread was also very good. Gorgonzola in general is a bit strong at first but it become more pleasant with every bit of bread. I passed on drinks purposely to order more food but that seems to have been not the best choice. However just one cocktail would’ve ran another $14. I get this is a nice restaurant but I feel you’re paying much more for the ambiance and the coolness factor than the taste and quantity of the food. I think it’s supposed to be a trendy type of foodie dining spot where you’re there drinking cocktails or sipping wine and having several courses of food over the span of hours but I was here just for the pasta and sadly it disappointed. I would give it another shot and next time order differently and again the setting of the restaurant is top notch so perfect for a fancy date night out however this is not the place to get the best pasta in town or at least get your money’s worth either.
