Stopped in for dinner right before Summerslam so the place was beyond packed. The waitress was hanging in there and doing the best she could while still being super friendly, quick, and on top of everything. The sesame Caesar salad is full of toasted sesame flavor, nothing to write home about. But the croutons were the best croutons I’ve ever had - they tasted deep fried. Really good. Burgers were good and the jambalaya was nicely seasoned and comes with a big slice of cheesy garlic flatbread to soak up all the sauce.

Marie, at the Detroit Beer Company, was a pleasure to work with. She was incredibly flexible + truly allowed us to bring our rehearsal dinner vision to life. Marie was prompt with responding + willing to meet with us any time. The food was nothing fancy but tasted good. The upstairs space was perfect and reasonably priced. We were very impressed with how kind and attentive their staff was as well! We highly recommend Detroit Beer Company for future events!

The beer is great! Oktoberfest Fest Bier and Local 1529. Creole Chicken Pasta was very tasty 😋

Ordered a Clear Pressure IPA, not too much hop, very enjoyable beer. The Hot Honey Butter Fried Chicken! There was nothing hot nor sweet about this sandwich. There was barely any chicken under the overcooked breading. Would not recommend that Sandwich. The chicken wings & fries were fire 🔥

Loved the beer, food and service! The steakhouse burger was probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Fries were great too. My friend took the pasta that looked amazing! Would love to visit again.

Had the pleasure of eating here before the Tiger game on Saturday. The place was slammed and really busy, but we had the best service by Taylor and never felt rushed. What a great stop before the game! Beer and food was really good too. Thanks for adding to our great day in the D with some first timers!

Loved our visit here. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. We tried the Dwarf and April fest beers and they were both winners. I got the chicken nachos and it was a large portion size. Homemade fried chips and piled with toppings. My husband got the burger and really enjoyed it. Lots of room and lots of tvs. Good food, tasty beer and cocktails and a great place to catch a game.

Great service- Brandi was awesome! We started with the pretzel and whitefish dip- both were delicious and unique. The Italian smash burger was delicious and then seasoned fried didn't disappoint. My wife got the honey butter chicken sandwich, and loved it! Spicy and sweet are a great combo! The Detroit Dwarf beer is great too! It's like a mix of a red and a brown, and went down great with the meal! Highly recommend the Detroit Beer Co! Thank you!

This place was 10/10. We had 100 come through for a private party up stairs. they handled it without a hitch! They worked hard to keep up with our close turn around. The food was good and the beer variety was awesome!

Great beer, great wings. Billy the bartender was very down to earth and easy to talk to... I was able to meet the brew master Justin who I could see took pride in his work. I liked clear pressure ipa.

Good beers, great food, incredibly friendly staff. I had the smash burger and wings and I loved every second of them. The staff was super friendly and I hope they all get the appreciation they deserve. Wonderful people. Definitely stop in to this place if you want a good beer and some grub.

Had been here a while ago and forgot the name of the place (given how many bars start with Detroit, it's not that difficult). Anyway, have been trying to find it for a while and finally did! The fact this is a brewery and not advertised as one is a little annoying; I would have fond it much faster! Upon my first visit I remembered liking the food alot. I think I just got a burger, but as we were drinking this time around, I didn't order food but I did see a few plates that caught my eye because they looked so good. The nachos being one and the tacos being the other. They don't have a huge selection of beer (I think there were 8 to choose from), but the ones we tried were very good (and are there own; although they carry a few that aren't theres). An IPA and one from their sour series is what we ordered. It's pretty small in there and it was quite busy. There was a Red Wings game and it was 2 hours before the game, so not sure if that was why or if it's normally like that. But we were able to get our beers quickly and although the bar area was full we did stand across from it where they have tables to set your beer. It worked for us. I'm really glad to have been back because I liked the set up and the atmosphere. Vats of their beer prominently displayed behind the bar but still feels like a nice restaurant with a cool, casual bar to chill and eat. Definitely coming back here again for food and beer now that I know the name...and definitely not forgetting it this time.

I've been to the Detroit Beer Company a couple times over the years and have always enjoyed the food, drink, and atmosphere. This time, I had the chicken wings with BBQ sauce and the Pineapple Guava Sour and enjoyed the combination. The restaurant looks great with all the brewery equipment being a main feature of the decor. The only drawback on this visit is they seem to have reduced the number of burger choices on the menu, but this didn't impact my enjoyment of my meal. Recommended!

Really good food and solid beer. I had the Cauliflower po' boy which was awesome and the burger was good too. All the different kinds of french fries were great and my kids enjoyed their chicken tenders. There was enough room in the place for them to explore and have fun. The Detroit Dwarf was my favorite beer. While the beers were not too creative what they had they did very well at. Was a great experiance and the staff was super friendly.

This review is specifically for private events but we also have gone to DBC casually a few times and have enjoyed it a lot too! We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here and it was a fantastic experience! We got married at Shinola and wanted to find a space that was within walking distance from the hotel. We were able to communicate via email and telephone to ask questions and plan our event and the team responded back within a day or two. Information was easy to get and clearly conveyed. The pricing, quality, and space stood out to us and there were many options and flexible packages to choose from or customize. The upstairs space can hold up to 120 people and that was a huge factor for us. Pricing for hosting a 35-person rehearsal dinner and a welcome party (capped bar + appetizers) for up to 120 was very reasonably priced and affordable compared to other options we looked at. The private space has its own bar upstairs and a separate sound system, TVs, and microphone which we used for rehearsal dinner speeches and a slideshow. Most of our guests were from out of town and enjoyed trying out DBC beers and other local options. Everyone also really enjoyed the food (the private event food menu has different options than the regular restaurant menu). The platter sizes were large and there was plenty of food even though we ordered enough for what we thought would be light appetizers. The staff who worked the event were all so kind and helpful the day of.

A great beer hall with good craft beers. I like the Dwarf Ale and the IPA's are also good. There's a beer for every palate and the food is top notch. It's in a great location in downtown Detroit.

Both the food and the beer are reliably good. The food menu always seems to have something intriguing on it and the beer varieties are wide ranging for a micro brewery. They also offer beer from other brewers and a full bar. I am impressed that the service has been consistently excellent for years now.

No te vas a arrepentir. Pick time and super fast service. Our table was for 8 people after a football game and we got a table in about 5 minutes. Food was delicious and my LIT had extra liquor.

Great food and great staff. When the fancy places on Library Street tell you it's an hour wait, walk around the block and grab a cold one here instead.

Great beer brewery and restaurant. Went there to grab some lunch and beer. They have a small patio seating and a nice indoor seating with the brewers. Ordered the Detroit Burger which came with seasoned fries and a 1529 IPA. The burger was cooked great and the beer was good. Overall, good place for some lunch and grab a beer.

The beer was really good but the food was sub par. Two of us ordered the Cubano sandwich which should have had pulled pork, but there was so little that it was basically a ham sandwich. My wife also got the panzanella salad which had large torn pieces of white bread that were barely toasted.

I tried the new brownie dessert tonight! It was so decadent and delicious, caramel sauce with sea salt sprinkles was the perfect touch!
