Awesome breakfast selection; everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and delicious ; the atmosphere was fun and comfortable And the service. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Can't wait to get back and try more items from the menu.

Awesome place. It was definitely big enough to accommodate the heavy traffic of guests. They estimated an hour and a half wait time, but we only waited 30 minutes. The waiters are so kind and knowledgeable. It was our first time here so they helped us select exactly what we were craving. The food was delicious! Large portions and very flavorful. Overall, I'd recommend this place. Bonus: the syrup for your pancakes are WARM!

Well the anticipation was there. We waited over an hour. So make sure to reserve in advance a table at least a day ahead. Lesson learned. I would say the staff is nice and very customer friendly. The food was good. But the waffle batter to doughy and undercooked. Same with pancakes did not taste right under cooked. But the chicken was good. The burger decent. The waffle fries good. And French toast delicious. It was a decent place. Had better waffles though.

Soon as I walked in I wasn't greeted by the hostess but another young lady said you can follow me and I was seated immediately walking through the door which was at about 11:15am on a Friday which that part was pretty good. The entire staff was very gracious and courteous. From our actual waitress Ashley to the guy who brought us our drinks to a totally different young lady who brought us our food. They were very attentive and on point. Once we ordered, our food was delivered to our table hot and ready in about 15min. Our waitress Ashley checked on us continuously to make sure we were ok at my table, I really loved that about her!!! The food was ok but I wouldn't say great. I came because I heard about the spot a few times and finally decided to come. I had the chicken and waffles and it was ok but nothing that stands out against some other places. I'm going back one more time to try the french toast which is my favorite and see if that wows me. But I wouldn't get the chicken and waffles again and also they charged $22.26 for 6 wing dings and a regular size waffle which is kinda pricey for just that. The 4 star rating was mainly given do to the wait staff!!! Without them it prolly would of been 2.5 stars honestly.

It was a great brunch dining experience at The Hudson Cafe in downtown Detroit, MI. There's a feeling of excellence from viewing the restrurant decor to the excellence exuding out by staffers that greet you and escort you to your table. Excellent service, friendly staffers, and exquisite atmosphere. I loved my dining experience here. And I don't want to forget to mention the food. The menu options are in abundance, and the food packed so much tasty deliciousness. I'm looking forward to returning back when in town. Absolutely loved it at the Hudson Cafe.

Thankfully there wasn’t much of a wait. Indoors was very urban and modern. Our waitress was very prompt with the orders and food got out to us quickly. The caprese crepes tasted sweet and savory so I loved it. The Woodward burger was bursting with flavor! The fries were also good! Highly recommend

I ordered the salmon croquettes, spiced chai, shrimp & grits, and potatoes. The food was delicious. I was sat with no wait even though it was busy. The sky rise bar seating has a lovely view. Service was top notch, attentive, fast, and friendly.

Visit in started on the wrong foot, walked in to get a table while my fiancé took a picture of building from out side. Was promptly greeted with an extremely rude greeting of how both people needed to be in the “building” to be seated. I get it. It was all in the way it was said…..I was ready to leave but stayed. Our waitress was amazing and very knowledgeable of food and menu. Food was okay. Honestly the greeting left a really bad taste in my mouth. We are not planning on visiting again.

Was greeted immediately and sat … Server Jade came and greeted us and started us off with waters and a great smile … Food was served quickly and most importantly hot and fresh.. Coffees and waters were refilled constantly… check presented and processed quickly .. Jade really was a DELIGHT and was glad she was our server …

My husband and I are visiting Detroit for the first time. This was near out hotel so easy to get to walking. We had the Monte Cristo and Catfish and Waffle. Both were so good and plenty of food! Tons of flavor and the sweet and savory were great together.

Courtney was great, and took very good care of us. Even reached out to us directly since we messed up our reservation. And was able to get us the out door table we wanted since we were not ok sitting inside yet...helped us make special accommodations and helped us set a new time so we could be seated outside. We were from out of town and we were very happy with the polite nature of the staff a d the over all service was great! Especially during these trying times.

Amazing! We arrived at 9 AM, it was rather empty and the hostess was very nice accommodating our party of 9. We waited five minutes to sit. Our server Mario was there moments later, helping us with the QR code access the the menu. There is free Wi-Fi. Coffee landed moments later :) Our orders were taken and then no more than 5 to 10 minutes later we revived our food. The servings were generous, very tasty and nicely presented. Lots of check ins, coffee refills all while not feeling rushed. It got very very busy after we sat and we never felt rushed. Loved the whole experience!

This place is a fat kids dream. They have combinations like Monte Cristo that combines French toast, cured ham, Swiss cheese, and a berry topping into a flavor explosion in your mouth. Red velvet pancakes and cinnabun pancakes are amazing. All the fruit was very fresh and the presentation is unreal. You have to make a reservation but if you do they seat you on time. Staff is super friendly

I went on a Saturday made a reservation . I had never been and the photos and reviews seemed nice. I was greeted by a hostess who was very polite. We were seated and enjoyed the meal HOWEVER after 1hr 45 min the hostess from the front door came to our table and asked us to leave because we had been here for almost 2 hours . we asked if we can order cocktails because we were still enjoying ourselves and our brunch. She stated no you can order them to go other people are waiting💀. Id never been so disrespected she even had the buss boy take away out waters n clean while we were still trying to eat. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN!!!!!!! THERE ARE BETTER PLACES TO SPEND YOUR MONEY. GO TO PARC ITS BEAUTIFUL AND SO IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The bathrooms need to be cleaned more often. The food was good, but some room for improvement. My omelet was very liquid filled and made everything else on my plate not editable. The toast came dry, they do not provide butter or jam on the table. I asked for jam, I was brought some raspberry preserves and it was good. It is a popular spot for brunch, so if you go at peak time or on weekends, expect a wait.

Fantastic service! It's been at least a year since stopping by and I'm glad they are still as good as ever. Came early with a friend for breakfast and had: Very Berry Stuffed French Toast BLT...EG House potatoes w/green pepper Beef Hash Everything was great and just like I remembered. The beef hash is homemade and shredded. Both of the main dishes were incredibly filling...enough to share. Our server, Dee, was very nice and efficient. They still validate parking for the 1001 Woodward Garage, so don't forget to ask. A+

We came here on a Sunday at 1:45 with a reservation. We had to wait about 10/15 minutes to get seated. We got our drink orders taken pretty quickly. I ordered the hot Caribbean, which was supposed to be a play on a hot toddy except with rum. I wasn’t the biggest fan, the alcohol was too strong and I couldn’t taste the honey in the drink. For my main I got eggs Benedict and cheesy grits. I enjoyed the eggs Benedict, but the grits had basically no flavor at all. The salmon croquettes were a bit salty for my taste, but they were still good. The people I came with both got French toast and they enjoyed their meals. For the price and the ambiance, I would come here again, but maybe I’d get a mimosa instead.

The parking here is TRASHHHHH (nonexistent)! Now that, that’s been stated. Food was very good. Kids pancake was very fluffy and tasted well. The chicken and waffles were good. The chicken has flavor and waffle needed a little more seasoning but was ok. I also ordered shrimp, cheesy grits and those were really good. They do have A LOT OF Flavors of mimosas.

We had a great brunch here! The parking was a little difficult to figure out, but we'll worth it. The food was simply amazing. I had the Apple Walnut Stuffed French toast. Wow! Every bite of it was a treasure. I love sweets and this hit the spot. Baked apples, cream cheese filling, made with raisin bread and topped with walnut. The variety of food textures was well put together. Others in our party had the Vegetarian Omelete with Feta, and Pesto Benny. I hope to be back soon!

The service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation as the wait times can be a bit long, however, they worth it. We had the corned beef hash and eggs and the plain French toast. The corned beef was delicious. Tender juicy and flavorful. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The French toast was not overly sweet and delicious. The potatoes were good as well. Oh and the home made peach jam....WOW that was amazing. This is a definite return trip.

Wonderful place! Went for the Red Velvet pancakes after seeing them on their reviews while searching for breakfast places. I was not disappointed!! So delicious! Even talked myself and my boyfriend into trying some of their breakfast drinks, because why not, and those were strong and delicious as well! I would definitely go here again next time I'm in the area! Big portions and great food and drinks.

Busy cafe with good vibe. Staff is friendly and menu has a good amount of choices. Long wait time on busy days but the hostess does a good job of keeping customers who are waiting informed. The food was average at best, we also had bloody marys which I would not recommend. A generous portion of potatoes were served with entrées but tasted bland. I would not recommend the grits as they were watery and tasteless. Prices are fair and food is served fairly quick.

Would recommend getting a reservation ahead of time, the wait can be long! The stars of the show were the Benedict and the crepe. The voodoo benedict was amazing, the sweet corn bread really meshes with the chorizo. The strawberry crepes were so light and delicious! The corn beef hash was good as a side. We got a half order of the graham cracker crusted French toast. It was a little disappointing bland on its own but it had a very delicious cream cheese frosting with it. If you added a little bit of syrup it made it perfect.

Recently took one of my best friends there for a birthday breakfast. 1st time eating at this restaurant for us both. I made the reservation with the hopes to he seated on time. I was surprised at how packed the small space was. People standing waiting to be seated upon entering. Even with the reservation we still had to wait 20 mins. I guess the management said screw the social distancing lol Polite staff. Very, very noisy so be prepared to raise your voice a bit while conversing. Breakfast was good and not too expensive. Will go back, but most likely will choose a different time and day.

We walked in around noon on a Friday and waited only 20 minutes to be seated. I ordered a chai tea latte, which was served in a regular coffee cup, but was delicious and rich. The Triple Triple Omelet was a hefty size and good. The berries side was an upcharge, but worth it. They were very fresh. My Pesto Benny was served more room temperature than hot, and with a little more pesto than I expected. Still, the flavors were good and it was very filling. They did knock off a couple bucks for my meal, which our waitress nicely asked for on her own. I would definitely go back, and try something else. This is an obvious local favorite.

We were there last weekend and it was fabulous. The food is great, our server was so sweet and the atmosphere was very pleasant and roomy. When my son was brought a platter of pancakes for a special occasion he was so surprised and loved it. I look forward to eating here again. Thank You everyone. Dream on 3

Absolutely everyone loved their food here. The pancakes are super thick and fluffy. I ordered the apple and walnut french toast. The pancakes we got were red velvet. We also got there as soon as they opened. It got really busy when we left.
