I was excited to try this restaurant based upon reviews I read. However, I was disappointed in the quality of food. Came for brunch and ordered 6 different dishes. Aside from the crepes, the rest of the food is just ordinary. Not really sure what was in the grilled cheese, but definitely not for me. The place is nicely decorated and has a warm cozy feeling.

Went here last night for our Valentines dinner and it was so lovely. Parking is easy (there is actually a parking lot). Went in and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful ambiance. We were 15-minutes early and the hostess said “what’s your name” we told her then “I can’t seat you u til 9:30.” So we went ahead and helped ourself to the bar. I would give a 5 but the service staff were not phenomenal. The hostess could have been more polite or offered us to sit at the bar. The bartender handed us a menu and was kind enough. Drinks were outstanding! We were seated and I loved the dining room. Very beautiful spot to enjoy a meal. We ordered the shrimp butter (outstanding!), farm greens (great salad one of the best I ever had), carrot steak (I also loved), and the mushroom pasta which was so fantastic. The food was great and reasonably priced. Based solely on food and atmosphere I would be back. I also love to support a female chef! Her dishes were creative and delicious. I do wish the server helped guide our choices of the menu, or explained the dishes as they were brought to the table. She was friendly but not helpful.

Wow, this was my first time here for brunch and I was blown away. From the interior decor, the exemplary staff, and the food itself, I was really impressed. The playing was perfect and unique, along with the locals that would stop in with friends and family. The menu was simple and offered traditional and unique dishes, which called for trying a little bit of everything! We shared 4 dishes, sweet and savory to keep out taste buds tingling. My personal favorite were the House Pancakes and the Salmon Toast. From the titles, you would think they would be generic and nothing fancy. However, you'd be surprised when you take your first bite. The pancakes were just the right consistency, fluffy, smooth and sweet from the smoked maple syrup and butter. I swear I could even taste a bit of bacon in there. The syrup was so addictive I could drink it straight up. For the savory side, the Salmon Toast deserves a round of applause. The colors of the dill and pink hue from Salmon made this dish pop. Each bite was just as delicious as the first and I really admire how the bread was not soggy in the middle, even with all of the toppings. I can't wait to return and try the dinner menu. This was a delightful brunch and again, impressed by every detail put into the customer service and the dishes themselves. Cheers!

Amazing food! Pricey, but absolutely worth it. I've never had carrot steak before, as it doesn't sound appetizing. If you go there, start with that. Everything we ordered was great. I know they do brunch, we went for dinner. Highly recommend going here, everyone needs to experience food like this.

This modest brick building nestled in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood is much more on the inside than you might first expect from the modest sign on the outside. It is clear that word of mouth and repeat customers keep this eatery full of business. And with good reason: from the tastefully-plated, rich fare to the clean, upscale atmosphere to the table service, this is not just a meal but an experience. Our waitress asked up front about diet restrictions and was very knowledgeable about the menu, which was not very long but highly curated. The food is served family style, and 3-6 dishes were recommended for two people. We tried four dishes: Carrot Tartare, Brussels (these sprouts served shredded and raw, but don’t let that dissuade you), Lamb Loin, and Mushroom Fettuccine with locally sourced shrooms. My favorites were the Mushroom Fettuccine and the Carrot Tartare. Everything was packed with carefully chosen flavor, perfectly presented, and well-paired. Prices ranged from $7 for house-made bread and butter to $69 for a whole roast chicken. If you are looking for a dinner to impress, I would definitely recommend Lady of the House!

We went for brunch. Out of the dishes ordered by us, I would highly suggest the pancakes and the frittata. The smoky, sweet and salty taste of the pancakes was exquisite as well as unique. The frittata was also very yummy. The waffle was good but not as good/unique as the other two options. Service was excellent and we loved the decoration of the place. Lastly, the list of drinks is pretty extensive.

Exquisite. What you might picture this place to be is exactly what it is. You feel high class walking into this place. Excellent soft lighting and beautifully decorated. Our meal was phenomenal. I highly recommend stopping by and trying this place out. Even if you don't have a reservation, we were able to get in right away when they first opened.

This was worth a visit to Corktown! Lady of the House offered "meat and potatoes" with a creative and flavorful twist. We received excellent suggestions from the staff and really enjoyed the meal consisted of the carrot steak, the cabbage wedge, the lamb, and potato donuts. it wasn't just how each dish was prepared but also the flavors that were used it made this place really special. Look forward to visiting my future trips to the Detroit area.
