    This was the only restaurant opened in downtown Detroit. It was not my preference but we were hungry and there were no other options. The coffee was promptly served. It was hot but not too strong. Our meals, however, were huge. My omelette was a foot long. The bagel was soft and toasted. In all, a sumptuous breakfast. The workers without exception had this homey attitude from the south but living up north.

    I did not like the atmosphere in here. The restaurant was very dim and gloomy. When I came in here I ordered a stack of pancakes ( I called a half hour before and the woman who answered the phone told me that the price of the stack of pancakes was $5) after I got there the Waiter change it and said the price was $7. Then he asked what was it that I was ordering I said "A stack of pancakes" he said "That's all?" he seemed annoyed that it was the only thing that I ordered so he asked again "Are you sure that's all you will be ordering today?" I said "Yes" he grabbed the menu up from the table and walked away. I guess he was expecting some huge pay off but all I wanted was a stack of pancakes. I didn't see a problem with that, it was my choice. The moment that I was done eating he picked up the dishes fast as if he were rushing me out of there. I don't think I will be coming back here I just did not like the environment.

    My baby and I ate here after staying a night at the Marriott! I love that we have the option to eat breakfast after our stay or lunch/dinner from Applebees. Everyone was very kind and the breakfast was good. They had the buffet going at the time we sat down. My server was Ethan, he was very friendly. Will be back soon!

    The hotel doesn't staff the dining area enough at all, you have to wait at the hostess stand or coffee bar for at least fifteen minutes before you see anyone and then it's never the right person to help you they just say someone will be by soon. The person making our coffee got two orders wrong and after 45 min of waiting we didn't feel like waiting longer for him to fix it so we just cut out losses and left. You need to actually staff your hotel and pay them better, minimum wage gets minimum effort.

    Stopped by for lunch. The big steak omelet was perfect. A big “A+“ to my server Demetrius. He was the most professional server I’ve encountered in along time. He certainly made lunch hassle free. Other staff I interacted with were polite and courtious. Glad I stopped here for lunch.

    I do not recommend this location because of horrible staff. When I got here, I had no idea where to go. They were supposedly open but the area at the seating station was roped off. A woman behind the bar asked if I wanted to eat and was going to seat me in the back. I had to move the bar holding the roped off section. I was in pain and wanted to relax, not do their work. I couldn’t get Applebee’s, not seeing any information about it being served starting at 11. It was 10:40 so I got an iHop breakfast. The same woman was rude while taking my order as I wasn’t familiar with the pancakes offered here. I was brought my meal, no syrup and I only saw her again 15 minutes after I finished eating. I was really upset at this point. There are a ton of other restaurants in the area, where there are better, friendly servers.

    I had to leave a review I was Starving at 7 in the morning Jasmine on the phone before we came and greeted us to our seats Cassandra as a manager welcoming us there and Josh as a patient and fast waitress was a great morning and deserves flowers and nothing less then a twenty as me and my sister discuss hard family matters over a great breakfast fast and gave us exactly what we ask for kept checking on us and more. It’s been so tough for me I thank God for Great people like these 3 in my path I felt Great!! Great Service Great food!! Thank you Jasmine Cassandra and Josh for starting my day so great! Felt VIP 🤗

    I have never wanted to give zero stars more than this!!! After being seated, server did not appear for another 15min. After telling us we could order from either Applebys or IHOP menu, we place our order only to have the server come back to tell us we could only order off the IHOP menu only. We changed our order after he recommended the Omelette combo...only for him to come back 10min later to inform us they couldn't do any of the omelets but could do eggs and bacon/sausage combos with pancakes...???...eventually 1hr 45min ( it was not busy at all, only 3 other groups of diners going through the same experience)after arriving we received cold, incredibly greasy eggs and overdone bacon. WOW!!! Without any hyperbole, this was the greatest incompetence I have ever witnessed!!!

    Beautiful place. Beautiful surrounding-downtown Detroit. Cordial staff. Didn't wait long for meal. Phylicia was very cordial and accommodating. My husband will come back whenever we're in the area for breakfast

    Worst service ever. Had 5 employees all huddled taking and annoyed when they have to actually greet or seat someone. Waited so long to be seated while listening to the young lady speak about her hair. Constantly putting people on hold and waiting to finish her conversation. Horrible.

    My husband and I waited 20 minutes to be seated. However, there were no one else waiting. Also, the waitress was not friendly at all or she did not come back to ask me and my husband how was our service or if we need anything else. In addition, the food was terrible. We had ordered the breakfast sampler. The hash browns and bacon was burnt. Also, the waitress took 25 minutes just to bring our beverages. My husband and I will not be going back to this I HOP location !!

    My experience with Clara, whom appears to be wearing 5 hats at one time was amazing. Her concern for us and other guest was awesome. She made sure we knew she wanted our dinning experience to be enjoyable. Stepped in to help out our waitress. Give her a raise.

    Every time I’ve visited this location, it’s always slow!!! I waited 30 minutes after being seated and never even got a WATER! I was there with my YOUNG children and even they grew impatient with the fact there was NO SERVICE 🤔 We agreed as a family to go to another restaurant! They were VERY disappointed!

    Malcolm (server) had an enthusiasm that was incredible, and brightened each day! Limited menu, and food was what you would expect. Vanilla latte was reasonably priced and got me going.

    I came early in advance and told the two hostess that I needed a table for 13. I was told that I couldn't be seated yet even though the floor was empty. After asking the hostess when I was to be seated and they keep saying in 5 minutes. I waited 2 and a half hours to never be seated, the 2 hostess had attitudes, some Bartender somehow gave us 8 Mimosas back to back while we were waiting in the lobby, which was huge. We never got to eat. Left hungry and mad. I don't think we paid for those Mimosas. Never going back.

    My niece needed to urgently use the washroom to the point of peeing on the floor - offered to pay to use or purchase food and was told she needed to book a hotel room in order to use the washroom. Ridiculous. Humanity is not a thing here and neither is business sense it seems.

    There is a wait time. Server was friendly. Food was meh, not bad but not memorable. Options were limited compared to other IHOPs, makes sense as it's a small location inside Applebee's and not a full restaurant like most other IHOPs.

    I am with a group of 17 people making the line for 40 minutes when the Manager Brandon Taylor decides to just tell my group and everyone in line that they are not going to be serving anymore food because they are not making it fast enough… what kind of excuse is that… I asked him if it was because he was out of food and he said he had food but he was not making it fast enough…. I am sure the owner of this place would be extremely upset to know that he lost at least $600 from just my group alone not even counting the at least 28 people in line that just got cut off with no warning… just like I told Brandon Taylor, you are making a terrible call, but of course it’s not his business… he doesn’t care!

    We are in Detroit for a medical emergency and our loved one is in surgery and we need to get our mind off of it. The service was so kind and wonderful that it brought some joy to an otherwise earthshatering day. I can't thank everyone of them so much for that moment of sunshine

    Felisha the Manager, is AWESOME!!! She was short on servers, but high on Energy & Enthusiasm! Felicia jumped in and helped her staff in EVERY way possible.     I ordered a Sangria. It was purr juice. I asked for my bacon crispy. They basically just cooking the bacon fat longer. It was greasy and did not taste like bacon. Hash browns were OK. Pancakes were good. Overall I was very disappointed in my meal.

    The place was understaffed (which isn't their fault) but the quality suffered for it. The waiter seemed to be confused, and the pancakes I got were crunchy. Not exactly ideal for pancakes, and the other food was... Not great. If you are staying at the hotel spend a few minutes driving and find a better place.

    Jason was GREAT! The food came out fast and it was good as well , I recommend the BIG STEAK Omelette.. The manager FELICIA was amazing as well I love how clean it was
