2 stars for the atmosphere. Self-certified foodie here; we did the 5-course meal and it was all disgusting (minus the salad). Whatever I didn't choose from the menu, my partner did. So... I want to know... out of trying 10 things total on the menu... How come it all except the salad tasted gross?! Taste testing is genius idea, but this by far was the worst "fine dining" experience I've ever had. No way this place has returning customers. But who knows maybe the chefs menu was off this month. The menu I had to order from was different than what others posted in the reviews. I recommend the restaurant post their chefs menu for the 5-course dinner on their restaurant instead of only being able to find out in person.

Marrow has top notch service with a great atmosphere. The food was amazing except for the Michigan Beef. The Michigan beef was quite chewy and tough. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic couples night. On top of the excellent food, they had top notch cocktails.

Superb! Their customer service is outstanding. My dining experience here was perfect. I made a mistake with the menu and they were gracious enough to fix it. I went out on a limb (no pun intended) and ordered the roasted bone marrow. I had no idea what I was going to get, but it was delicious. I recommend it!

We really LOVED Marrow. The service was fantastic. Definitely make reservations! We sat outside it was warm, cozy and comfortable! We really loved the food selections. Definitely try the Marrow appetizer. My husband had the pork schnitzel. The sauce on it was amazing. I tried to figure out what was in it but taste and couldnโ€™t so so good!โ€™. I had the crab pot pie. Everything was very flavorful! The service was excellent. I have big eyes and a small stomach. I really wanted the chefs menu. But knew I couldnโ€™t eat it all. TRY IT. THE FOOD IS FABULOUS!!! Everything is fresh, unique and yummy!!

Phenomenal. Reservation was ready, we showed up about 30 minutes early, checked out a gift shop around the corner, they were about to seat us early. The menu was amazing, the servers were amazing. We had an outdoor seating in the cutest decorated corner, with 2 heaters next to us, so we were very comfortable. 100% recommend getting the Bone Marrow, an extra $15, but definitely worth it! All meals were perfectly portioned and we both left feeling very full.

I love Marrow! Tried their bone marrow and I liked it quite a bit, but not for everyone (if all you eat are meat and potatoes). The menu is preset into two choices of 4-5 courses: appetizers, meals, and dessert included. Option to select separately each course. Very creative concoction of earthy ingredients for each course - I love it. Pricy $$$$, but worth it for an occasional date night dining out.

We came for lunch. Had the tinned fish, salad, steak sandwich and a few drinks split between us. Prices fair. Service was great and we chatted with Maggie the bartender the whole time. Had several well made cocktails. Left happy and satisfied.

Amazing experience at Marrow! We stopped in for lunch on a Friday and had a lovely time. The bar tender was friendly and informative and the food was delicious. I think my favorite part was overhearing and observing some of the local clients that came in and out during our lunch. You could just tell from the way the staff and usual customers interacted that this place is well loved in the neighborhood. If youโ€™re visiting Detroit, please make time to visit Marrow!

I visited marrow last Sunday and it quickly became my favorite restaurant in Detroit. The atmosphere was impeccable and the food was incredibly delicious. I am not kidding, every bite I had made me do a happy dance and I didnโ€™t want my experience to end. What made this place even more special was the service. My waiter Scott was so attentive and friendly. He knew the menu very well and made the best recommendations. He took the time to chat with me and he was so thoughtful. He even brought out a birthday treat for the table next to me. People like Scott are rare to find and Marrow is lucky to have him. I can not recommend this place enough. Make the reservation and ask for Scott, thank me later!

Absolutely amazing food, and great service. The bone marrow is a must addition to the first course, it was the best thing we had tonight, followed closely by the Michigan beef. Staff was wonderful, our server was attentive without being intrusive and the atmosphere was quiet and very pleasant. We will definitely be returning, it's worth every penny.

Marrow is one of the best dining experiences we've had in the US!!! Patrick our server was spectacular, but the entire team of people working there were lovely and the outdoor seating was perfect. The food was honestly some of the best I've eaten and it was the perfect place to spend my birthday. They were so accommodating and wonderful- I wish I lived closer so I could go more often! My husband got the tasting menu, but I did the a la carte because I had to try the gnocchi- and I'm so glad I did! The tartare was something I will dream about! Thrilled to be able to have such a special occasion and still feel safe eating outdoors- grateful for the experience!

Wow! Clean, customer service friendly and on point. Dining area is small so make reservations ahead of time. Patio space available. This experience was awesome! Menu changes, but we did the multiple course meal (90.00PP) AWESOME and FILLING. Each course and dish was packed with flavor and substance. Pictured was each course/dish. Highly recommend!

A little late posting this. We went here in October for our anniversary. They did not disappoint! Pre-fix menu. Excellent food with good presentation.

This is the type of restaurant that so many restaurants want to be like, but can't. The front of house was so professional and welcoming. We made reservations for Sunday at 5pm and got sat right away. Our server was perfect and took care of our every need, like someone who takes a lot of pride in their work. We started with the Roasted Bone Marrow and the Fois Gras! Both plates had SO much flavor. The Marrow came with little, soft muffins that just melted in your mouth. The Fois Gras was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. I enjoyed the Pork Belly for dinner. That coupled with the sweet potato hash was the perfect combo and everything was cooked to perfection! I really wanted to meet Sarah (the Chef from Top Chef Houston) but didn't want to bother her. I did actually run into her as we walked out. I said Sarah, like I knew her, because I watched her on TV. She looked at me like, oh no I should know him but I don't." I then told her it was our first time in. We chatted for a minute and she was super nice! I would definitely go back to Marrow the next time we're in town. I really wish it was located in Grad Rapids, because we'd be there all tile time. Keep doing what you're doing because it's awesome!!!

Wonderful dining experience. I went with my MIL and we ordered Al la Carte. Food came out in a timely order and the waitress was wonderful. I would definitely recommend the octopus tacos, every flavor complemented each other.

We enjoyed their tasting menu. It was really good. Everything we had was creative and delicious. Staff were professional.

The chef's tasting had a large variety with different flavors. I did find the salad and beef to be a bit salty. Drink and wine options were good and the bartender Bob was very well versed in both.

Incredible experience - probably the best restaurant I've been to in Detroit. We had the tasting menu, which was truly fantastic. Good portion sizes - left feeling full but not stuffed. The one complaint I had was the beef option on the tasting menu, which is ostensibly their specialty, and cost an extra $20, but was fairly underwhelming in light of the rest of the meal. Certainly not bad, but especially after paying extra, I expected better from a place like this - it wasn't even dry aged! On the other hand, the roasted bone marrow was phenomenal. I highly recommend ordering it in addition to the tasting menu. The service was like clockwork, especially efficient and decently attentive. I would have appreciated a little more face time with the wait staff, but they got the job done without any hassle. The atmosphere was overall very pleasant, but didn't stand out as anything special. The bill came out a bit on the expensive side, even though I knew what to expect (the automatic gratuity probably made it seem like more relative to other places where the total isn't printed on the check). This probably isn't the place for anything other than a special occasion. Overall, Marrow was a fantastic experience and definitely worth a visit if you're looking for an upscale dinner in the area.

Very impressed by Marrow! We were celebrating a birthday, and they went the extra mile to make it special. The service was impeccable; we were never kept waiting, drinks always refilled, frequent check ins, etc. The restaurant itself has a very cool atmosphere โ€” I recommend hitting up Two Birds right down the road before or after for a drink, as well. And, of course, the food was absolutely delicious. Iโ€™d definitely come back here.

Marrow has been, and continues to be, one of the best restaurants in Detroit. The incredible and ever evolving menu is all the reason you should ever need to go back, and if you've never been, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. My last visit we opted for the Chef's Tasting menu and were treated to course after beautiful course of gorgeously prepared dishes consisting of completely novel and delicious blends like scallops with a fig and olive caramel, or marrow custard donuts. The service is just as incredible as the food. Everyone from the hosts to the servers was friendly and attentive, also taking the time to properly describe every course. The only difficulty you may encounter is parking as there is no real dedicated parking to speak of but we were able to park on a side street with ease.

I enjoyed my course meal at Marrow tonight. I think that if I had more than one person I'd definitely try much more of the menu. The lamb dish was insanely good and that alone is worth stopping by. If I come back to Detroit I'll likely come back, as this was the best restaurant I had when I was here. @dietproof

Came for dinner to have the tasting menu a couple nights ago and it was a great experience. The service was really exceptional and sitting on the shaded patio was lovely, nice and cool even though it was a really hot sunny day. The food was all great, would definitely recommend adding the bone marrow appetizer to your meal, it was so delicious! 100% looking forward to our next meal here the next time we're visiting from Toronto!

INCREDIBLE! From the awesome service from our waiter, Bob, to the excellent food we had for every course this place far exceeded any expectation we had. The food was fresh, unique, and delicious. We will certainly be back for more

Came for the Feast of 7 Fishes. 1st dish was Fishermanโ€™s Platter, a stellar and creative dish with excellent flavor and texture combinations. The Tuna Kataifi was awesome with a beef fat bernaise, tomato chutney and tuna deliciousness. I really liked the marinated squid salad but the squid wasnโ€™t really featured and my partner thought it was over-dressed (I didnโ€™t). The crab crepe was excellent and lobster bouillabaisse delicious. The beet sorbet intermezzo was not good but points for the effort and boldness! They also added a squid ink tortellini which was delicious. Service at the bar was excellent and our drinks were on point. Would recommend and come back. Oh yeah, dessert was awesome-white chocolate and (light) caviar ice cream and biscotti.

I went for an anniversary dinner at the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. The service was excellent and all wait staff were courteous and knowledgeable. The food was amazing. Excellent and creative dishes with careful preparations, there was not a miss in the nine dishes I tried between myself and my partner. We'll be back, I can feel it in my bones.

My date and I had a wonderful experience at Marrow! The customer service was fantastic and was equally matched with amazing food. I went forward with their Prix Fixe menu for our outdoor, yet covered and very well heated, patio dinner. Prior to arriving I had asked if it would be possible to have some meat charcuterie options that weren't pork. I was okay if that wasn't possible but to my pleasant surprise, they were able to put together 3 fantastic beef charcuterie options. I really appreciated that! Thank you for the attention to detail, the wonderful food and awesome customer service. We can't wait to come back =)

Outstanding culinary experience combined with a pleasant and attentive staff. Worth every penny. The menu is updated every two weeks, so you frequently have something new to taste.

The service is excellent. If you're interested in experimenting with some new flavors and textures definitely check it out. Food was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The menu is somewhat limited, but they have mastered it. Would have gotten five stars except for the price. $60.00 for 6 course meal is too much, 1 is a small salad, and one is a 3 bite dessert. $15.00 for a half glass of wine. Please should be 2/3 full. It was excellent just needed more. Check them out see what you think.

Is it possible that after all of my times at Marrow, I have never reviewed it? I would consider myself a Marrow ambassador. If someone comes to visit, we go there. A birthday? Marrow. Just because? We go to Marrow. Itโ€™s the most special little place and feels very special without being precious or intimidating.

I've been here twice, once for brunch, once for the tasting menu. Both were excellent experiences. Every dish I've had here is expertly made, with creative combinations of flavors, high quality in season ingredients and exquisite presentation. My favorite dish I had was the mini bao buns with barbeque beef and bacon, so delicious. I highly recommend the chef's tasting menu. The service here is impeccable, they were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The bartender also served me up some great cocktails. Their butcher shop is also worth checking out, everything I have brought home has been delicious. I especially like their sausage. Check this place out, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing. First time at Marrow yesterday, and I want to go back today. The tasting menu insures you don't over eat any of the FIVE courses. Great wine selection featuring local vineyards with naturally produced wines.
