The experience was horrible. The place was really dead when we went, yet the worker looked annoyed at us walking in. The lady that served us had no idea in what a lot of authentic dishes were, and she gave the worst recommendations.. The "chilaquiles con salsa" I ordered had no salsa whatsoever! They served me tortilla chips with egg on top? And when I asked why there was so salsa, she said that's how they made them.. I do not understand how this is an "authentic" Mexican spot.. I have never been so disappointed in a simple dish like chilaquiles.

You can always tell if a Mexican restaurant is going to be good by the rice and beans. This was not a good restaurant. I wouldn't even say this was a mediocre restaurant. Nobody in our party of 5 ate our food. It lacked flavor from the start of our salsa and guacamole (which was $10 btw!!) to the basic tacos ordered by my son. To say this was a disappointment would be an understatement. The reason I'm giving it 2 stars was because the margaritas were good. I wouldn't come here again unless I'm only wanting to drink margaritas. (No micheladas either!) This is a photo of picadillo (not picadillo), carne guisada, rice and beans.

Came here for lunch the other day. I have nothing to complain about ! Service was fast and friendly, food was tasty and fair priced. Definitely have enough leftovers the next day even for a small portion! Only reason I’m not giving 5 starts is because I’ve had much better Mexican at other restaurants. This place is great for the price and portion size though!

We went here before the big football game. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff was so friendly. The food was so good and the price was just as amazing. Monday nights Canadian at par, so what a deal. Definitely a great place to visit and take in some Mexican food dishes.

The food was absolutely amazing! Not only was the taste phenomenal, but the portion sizes are HUGE! The staff was very timely, our meals came out quickly, and the atmosphere was family oriented and made the whole experience VERY enjoyable! I will definitely be back!

We ordered the Trio, it fed all four of us and we still took food home. Our waiters were kind and the service was quick. All of that without the quality being sacrificed granted the five stars given. The food was delicious and the leftovers were just as good. It was my first time there, I would go back.

Fabulous! Even with a party of 12 we were seated in 5 min. All I could hear was oohs and aahs from the flaming fajitas to the flaming ice cream. The service was as exquisite as the food delightful.

We had a party of 8 yesterday and the food and service was horrible. I have been going to eat here for years and can not believe how down hill it has become. First our waitress kept forgetting to bring items to our table such as salsa, napkins and drinks. Then we order 3 kids lemonade and they brought us 3 large glass drinks and 3 empty kids cups and told us to pour them from the glass to the Styrofoam cup. Making a mess, ice cubes and lemonade all over the table. Then EVERY single meal was cold ( not warm cold). When we asked to speak to the manager she said there was nothing she could do. To top it off there was a fight between another patron and manager that was filled with profanity and screaming. Three tables walked out because of the food and service and attitude of the manager. Management should be there to help and not create a bigger issue. Very disappointing, especially because we brought friends who have never been there.

My Mexican friend called this an authentic Mexican food and it certainly did not disappoint. This is the first time I had chips served so fresh that they were warm. I ordered combo and it’s all good. Reasonable prices and nothing fancy but nice food

Food was great. Margarita was great. I was too busy eating the foof to get a pic. Maybe next time. We got the trio fajitas. Wish they sold shrimp seperately.

Food was not as experienced in the past. Dry and lacking flavor. Fried Ice-cream looked amazing but don't blow out the fire (as directed) unless you like the taste of gasoline. Let it burn off.

The food was good! The reason i did 3 stars is due to authenticity. It was more tex mex than authentic Mexican food. It was very good just not as authentic as I am used too. Dont let the 3 stars deter you from eating here!!

Great place with an amazing food, we ordered fajitas with 3 different kind of meat. It was between my husband and me and in the end we couldn’t finish. Also we ordered ice cream and we had food for the next day. Good service and friendly.

Ordered the chicken quesadilla and it came with beans and rice. It was a bigger meal than I expected with nice chunks of chicken and plenty of cheese. The chips were thin and hot for dipping in their tasty salsa. The waitress kept us fiied with everything we needed. Good food, service at a very fair price.

Great food as always! Amazing menu so many choices. Chips came out to the table fresh and hot! Salsa is so good. Couldn’t decide what to get so I went with the Flaming fajita trio.

They offer fresh warm all you can eat chips and salsa. That lone is worth it. So good. The price is so reasonable and portion size big. It's a bang for your money. The food is delicious too

Highly disappointed. Not up to their usually standards. I guess Covid has affected everything.

The wait staff were so welcoming and helped answer any questions we had but honestly the food had no flavor, the rice was still hard, the beans tasted like they were out of can and the meat was dry. Yes they give us a lot of food for the price we payed but not worth it because it didn't taste that good.

Went here before a show and I have lived in Michigan most of my life, and never discovered Mexicantown. Lets just say I will be back....and back again and again. Michigan has some of the best Mexican food and I knew that this place would not disappoint me at all.....in fact it blew me away. Love the food...the ambience....the people.....and the atmosphere. Come and enjoy some serious deliciousness right here in the D

It was really good mexican experience. I ordered cheese chimichanga, and it tasted so delicious. They had other good vegetarian options as well and will be going there for sure to explore more food and the taste. The queso flameado is a tasty appetizer, too. I am giving 4 stars because I had better Mexican food before, but I definitely recommend it.

Had a great experience, waitress was really nice and had quick service! Food was amazing, thought it may have been to much to eat in one sitting but I just could not stop hahaha!

First time there and meal was really good! Great hot salsa!

The food was very good, and our server was very polite. It did take awhile before we ordered drinks or food though. The chimichanga's were great but the watermelon Margarita tasted very salty. It's a good atmosphere but a little noisy if that bothers you. It took us awhile to get the bill as well, but overall a very good experience
