I went there because my daughtersuggested it, we spent over $60 for three meals, it is the WORSE FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD, IT WAS VERY DRY AND HARD, but ur was hot. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY & TIME.

Not sure what the negative reviews are about. The place is consistently busy for lunch, and I have never had a bad experience. The deep fried chicken is good white meat with a moderate-to-heavy batter. The sauteed chicken is also white meat, thinly sliced. The sauces are good, and the rice is . . . rice. You can usually get a huge portion with a fountain drink/bottle water for under $7. Very friendly, quick service too. Don't hesitate eating here.

This place is located in the New Center One building. I ate there 5 days a week from about 2005 through 2014. The food is fine. The service is fine. I stopped eating there because they shrank the portion size and raised the prices. The smaller portion size was the main reason. If you are in the New Center area want some Chinese food I would recommend the place. They do servce good food. I just want more of it per visit.

Disgusting and overpriced. I ordered general two chicken and it was nothing close. It was pure sweet. Also went for refills and the woman barked at me saying it was $1. For $17 on 2 lunches, refills should be free. Never again.

This is the best. I have been going to this restaurant for almost 20 years. I just ordered and can't wait to get my food!!!

THE WORST SERVICE EVER. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE. The woman behind the counter was very unprofessional. I work for Henry Ford and my lunch was at 12:30pm. I arrived at Rice Bowl at 12:32. My lunch break was cut from 1 hour to 30 minutes, so I asked the lady behind the counter in a very nice tone how long will it be for my sweet an sour chicken. She yelled and said I told you it was coming. She never answered my question.I stayed calm hoping she would calm down. I said I was just asking because I was timing myself so I can get back to work on time. She started yelling I told you it's cooking. So I said in a calm voice, I can see if I was rude to you, then I would understand you speaking to me like that, I also said I understand you are tired, but I am just asking a question so I can get back to work. So just give me my money back. I said I will not be treated like this and patronize you at the same time. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Even though she was rude to me I was still trying to tell her that I understood that she was tired and busy. and she wouldn't listen and over talked me and said next to the next person. She didn't try to understand that I was being sympathetic toward her. The man came from the back and opened the drawer as he was doing this she was still talking. I said just give me my money I don't want to hear you. I said THANK YOU when he gave me my money back and I left.

Cashier/Food Preparer was RUDE, in speech! They, load you down, with: veggies and skimp on the meat! Which, is chicken. The most economical meat! I only go in, for their ALMOND COOKIES, now! China 1 gives GOOD FOOD PORTIONS, for the money!!!

There is always a line out the door for lunch every day, so that must say something about this place. We frequent this restaurant for lunch and have always been very happy with the food and service. Definitely would recommend to everyone.

This was by far the WORST experience I have ever had with this place!!!! The man working behind the counter was so RUDE!!! He told me he didnt have time for me because HE didnt understand my question then threw his arms up and stomped away! It was very unprofessional of him NOT want to take the time out to answer my question! I work at a very reputable hospital in the area, right down the street and we were going (hence the word WERE) to start having our parties catered from there. Henry Ford Hospital WILL NOT DO BUSINESS with this company EVER AGAIN!! We will tell EVERYONE how RUDE their employees are there and therefore we will not spend our money with this place ( that will in the near future be shut down...) EVER. We will continue to look for a company that will gladly take our money and be grateful they got our business.
