My coworker is Mexican and takes me here. Now, I'm HOOKED! I've been 5 times in 3 months. If you want good, tasty authentic Mexican food, go here. Ask for their frozen Strawberry margaritas 🍹... you won't be disappointed. Yum! Note: It gets really busy here. Sometimes, it's worth checking the wait line line. Just type into Google "taqueria mi pueblo wait list" and hit "join waitlist". It will let you know if there is a wait or not. So convenient.

Best Mexican restaurant I've been to yet. Their tostadas are delicious and had their tampequira, A full meal with so many varieties. Tacos are also delicious and they have a taco Tuesday special. Definitely coming back to try that.

Authentic Mexican food at its finest. A chip basket is delivered to your table accompanied by a bowl of mild and hot salsa. I usually prefer hot salsa but I must say the mild was very flavorful, just without the heat. The hot was prefect and didn't leave your lips tingling. You can't go wrong with either. I ordered the fajitas with steak and shrimp. Delicious! I opted for the cheese on top which the dish certainly didn't need but it was melted and gooey and it never clumped! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were so tender. There was a sauce at the bottom of the bowl which was delightful. I also received Mexican rice and beans with my dish and neither disappointed. My daughter couldn't stop eating the rice! The guacamole is really good while the pico de gallo delivered a little kick in the form of a few jalapeño bits incorporated in. The portion sizes are generous so I brought my leftovers home which I devoured the following day and I'm happy to say tasted just as good. All in all a great meal! I think my only disappointment is that my husband has known about this restaurant for years and he's just now taken me for dinner. We did have to drive 50 minutes to get there so I suppose I'll forgive him. 😉 It was definitely worth the drive!

The food was bland, the salsa tasted like it was brought out of a can and not freshly made. The flan tasted like cheesecake which was a huge disappointment for me. The beans were good but the enchiladas were not. The presentation of the food was beautiful but the taste was unsatisfactory. The only food item we liked that we ordered was the chicken fajitas, that is why I didn't give this place 2 stars. Our server Estela was amazing. She's the only reason for which we'd consider giving this place another shot.

Great place for Mexican food and they delivery late via Uber Eats! I got into Detroit late on a Saturday night and we ordered to go- what a great idea! Made life easy and the food was still warm. Chips and guacamole were perfect to start. 3 taco ground beef tacos with rice and beans were lovely. Quesadilla was also a good choice. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for Mexican in Detroit or a late night bit.

I visited this place several times previously for lunch and is always super packed. This is the first time i visited for dinner and dint feel the food as fresh, hot and sizzing they usually serve at lunch hour. The chicken fajitas were nor sizzling, thats why four star. We tried chicken chikichangas, spicy chicken grilled, shrimp kebabs are my personal favourite. Ordered gaucamole as side, again not as fresh as it is served for lunch hour. The waiters were limited and took a great deal of time to get the check and to go boxes. Food service was fast. Drinks menu is decent and the place has that cool mexican vibe. Would definitely wont be coming back for dinner, i think lunch hour is their best version , their rice is purely flavourful.

One of my go to spots for groups, families or late nights. Salsa is fresh. Big portions. But not crazy. First time I tried the gordita dinner...great job with the mushrooms. Savory and hearty.

If your looking for authentic Mexican, look no further. I've always loved this place. It's a perfect place to bring the whole family as we brought my little nephew (the small plate is his) and he had a a nada-colada (non alcoholic piña colada). The food will definitely not dissappint you and also fill you up. Service here is great and has always been. The waiters are always happy and eager to help. Aka...I never had a bad experience here. One of my favorite Mexican restauraunts.. I love this place!

If you're in the mood for some delicious Mexican food, this restaurant is a great choice. Even before the pandemic, I've enjoyed takeout from here, and now that I've dined in, I can confidently say that the food is consistently great. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. If you're planning to come on the weekend for brunch, be prepared for a little bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it. shrimp tacos are so flavorful and always hit the spot. And if you're in the mood for something sweet, definitely try one of their dessert drinks. They're great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some delicious and reasonably priced Mexican food. Whether you're dining in or getting takeout, you won't be disappointed

My favorite Mexican place in the Metro-Detroit area. Food is always amazing and they have the best fajitas and quesadillas! The mariachi band is always fun too!

Taqueria Mi Pueblo is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I’ve been patronizing this restaurant for years. They have the best rice, it’s light yet full of flavor. I like that it’s not just rice with lots of tomato paste. On this visit, I tried something different. I’d never had the Queso Fundido; I will definitely have it again. It’s refried beans, chorizo sausage, diced veggies including jalapeños smothered with white cheese…oh my goodness. I had it with chips and a side of guacamole. It’s a great appetizer to share. I had it as a meal and only ate a third of it. It is definitely a must try if you’re a fan of the enchilada cheese. Absolutely delicious!!!

They were able to accommodate our food allergies (gluten, beef and pork, shellfish). We asked a lot of questions and our server was able to find out the information quickly. The rice and beans were quite tasty and vegetarian. Some restaurants use meat oils/ grease to season their beans and rice, but they didn't which is great for us. It was delicious. I had the chicken fajitas. They were flavorful and juicy with plenty of meat and veggies. My son(with a gluten allergy) had fish taco dinner. He said it was spicy, but really tasty. They double wrapped his tacos in corn tortillas. My other kids had the chicken chimichangas. They both had plenty to eat. My husband got chicken fajitas with cheese. It was just as tasty as my fajitas, but he did say the cheese added depth to the flavor. Overall it was pretty good. We all are for $60 not including tip.

This is the best in Mexican food in SW Detroit...hands down. My food came to my table quick & hot. The meal was delicious & affordable. The decor inside was beautiful & the vibe is inviting & comfortable. If ur looking for this place other than using ur maps, just look for the world's largest bowling pin in the parking lot that looks out of place...lol. U can't miss it. This is a must visit when ur in SW Detroit.

A few things that I'll be reviewing. 1st thing is cleanliness. Although the restaurant seemed clean, I couldn't help but smell this really weird smell and I couldn't get over it the whole time I was there. 2nd, the food was not that great. Pictures might make it seem that it is but it wasn't. I make better guacamole at home. This guac was didn't have enough salt, not enough cilantro, and not enough lime. The tacos had a really weird taste to them. Not sure if it was the bread itself or the chicken. The quesdillas were not bad. The milkshake actually tasted pretty good to my surprise! 3rd, we complained to the waiter that we asked for cheese on one of our tacos and we wanted that order taking off of the bill since it wasn't eaten but it was added anyway. All in all, I won't be coming back nor do I recommend this place.

Always a great time here. They're super busy so make sure you get a spot ahead of time. You’re looking at wait times of 30 minutes to get seated if you’re dining in, but if you’re just ordering tacos and to-go items, their Express restaurant might be better. Overall, lots of great choices and authentic flavors across the various menu options.

This establishment deserves 10 stars out of 5. Amazing food - especially ALL of their tacos. The salsa and the nachos that they serve were to die for! This little snack arrived immediately, even before all of us were seated at the table, which was great because we were really hungry. Their service was really accomodating. The girl taking reservations did her best to ensure we would get a table on a busy Friday night. Their Margarita was really really tasty and with a nice punch. The ambience and the overall place is really relaxed and fun. Perfect place to visit with friends and family. Would love to visit again. Keep up the great work guys!

Great food and atmosphere!!! Drinks took longer than expected but they were good. We haven't been there in a while so it was nice to come back to Mi Pueblo. Waitress was nice and prompt. The only inconvenience was that she never came back to pick up the dirty dishes. I don't know why. This is the second place that we go and wait staff don't pick up the dirty dishes. That's not good but definitely a place to go back and recommend.
