The riverfront in Detroit is a beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors. Even in August the walkway wasn't that busy so my girlfriend and I were able to enjoy a peaceful walk right along the river. There are a number of places that you can sit down and relax along the way. The scenery is beautiful and the views of Windsor are amazing! Would love to return with a bicycle and further explore the Detroit Riverfront. Definitely recommend visiting if you're looking for something to do in Detroit during your trip.

Yes, I'm not a local so I won't be up to speed on the myriad problems that plague the city of Detroit. But I live in Los Angeles, a city that will crumble under the weight of its unsustainable policies in the next two decades, and all you hear about LA is wonderful things. So I think I can say that the Riverfront in Detroit was bomb.

Got up early for a few sunrises while there on my visit. Great spot to watch the sun come up over Canada to wake up Detroit.

Paid over $300 for one night in a room about the size of a closet. Asked during check in if we could keep our vehicle parked there the next day while we went to the auto show. Was told no problem. Next day comes around and we were told we couldn't leave it there. Blankets on the beds felt more like rough curtains than soft blankets. Only really nice thing I can say about the stay was that the entire place was very clean, had a great view from the room, and there was a lot to do close by.

Went to the Valade park today. The music inside the pavilion hurt my ears it was so loud. No need for the noise level. The smoke from the outdoor fires burned my eyes. I wonder if you could use different wood or something. Smoke was really bad. The riverwalk itself is magnificent.

A wonderful scenic experience to enjoy the downtown of Detroit while getting some exercise. You can also see the Ambassador Bridge to Canada. Bring the whole family PLUS any pet friends.

This has to be one of the highlights of going downtown. All the improvements have made this a must see. I have walked and biked the whole length. Plenty of people come down here. There is a lot to see and beautiful views. I would love to take my kayak and paddle the length of the riverfront, but I doubt it would be safe when you consider the current. There's good amount of parking nearby. I bet the sunrise would be awesome to see from here.

Nothing special, unique or fun. I wouldn’t waste my time here again. When will Michigan become fun.
