👍👍 Spent good time there! Wish they had bigger flower garden. There were couple benches to sit and watch the beautiful blue waves! Nice for walking. There is a big field without tables that can work for family/friends gather and barbecue/picnics! Oh and lets not forget, you can walk/jog/ride your bike... People often mention park, walk, clean, area, beautiful, river, picnic, view, water, Beautiful,

The Gabriel Richard park was well maintained. I’d suggest better signage for those who aren’t familiar with the area. The views of the river are definitely worth the visit, as well as the walking trails. Just be sure to watch out for goose droppings!

This is a big park which I liked during my visit. Seems like there are lots of activities going on in here. There we groups on picnic, people doing yoga, cycling and also a group doing some dance classes. There is a beautiful view of the MacArthur Bridge.

This might sound dumb, but i get now why in all the movies people come to the shoreline and just sit there. It is just so nice to feel the breeze, watch the water and see the gorgeous flowers around you. A great spot for a picnic as well.

This is a really nice newer park. It would be a great place for a picnic or relaxing day. Great views of belle isle and the bridge. When it gets connected to the rest of the riverwalk it'll be that much better.

This is a great park to take children in the summer and let them cool off at the sprinklers. We were visiting from Tennessee and enjoyed the peace of mind of finding a place that you can enjoy setting and watching the water, such a calming environment. We picnicked at one of the many tables they have there for your convenience and the bathrooms are handicap assesible and very clean. We have two little furry friends and they just loved being able to run and have fun

Situated at the foot of the MacArthur (Belle Isle) bridge, Gabriel Richard Park is the easternmost point of the Detroit Riverwalk. Formerly natural and non remarkable shoreline has been transformed into a stunning urban oasis!! Butterfly 🦋 gardens, riverfront pathways, and fountains are surrounded by gorgeous sloping grassways that silence the sounds of busy Jefferson avenue. All the gorgeous landscape features native plants, attracting birds, pollinating insects and a surprising number of mammals. There are plenty of seating choices, restroom facilities, and an in season cafe. Parking is free. I never miss a chance to visit during every season, if only for the gorgeous view of the Detroit River.

This is a very clean and spacious park. A awesome place for family's, adults and simple dating, it has a lovely walk, bike trail as well as a dining area and a place to fish. All in all it is my favorite park in this city. It's a must visit.

My first time visiting there I was very impressed. A small island with a Beautiful view Connected not far from Belle Isle. Clean and very pleasant, oh!! by the way Not Crowned. They had "Portal John's" and one Original Bathroom, near the water, which was quite a walk. But other than that, I loved it. One of Detroit hidden 💎 gem.

Beautiful everything.. flowers, scenery, beautiful view to Belle isle. It's actually a new park that's very relaxing and family oriented. It's handicap fit as well as for children. I go just to relax they have classes by the river in the summer. Awesome place

Beautiful segment of the Detroit Riverfront east of the MacArthur bridge to Belle Isle. There is a small parking lot in the NE corner accessible from Jefferson. Great place to walk my dog. There are some tables and chairs at the pavilion, as well as restrooms. Beautiful landscaping along the river and it really comes to life in the spring and summer as the flowers bloom. Easy to connect over to belle isle and in the future it will be connected to the river walk for car-free enjoyment all the way to corktown. Also probably one of the cleanest parks I’ve ever visited.

Very safe, peaceful, clean and beautiful. Picnic area near the parking lot. It's a little walk to get to the water. A section for fishing near a fenced-in walkway. 25 cents commercial stationary binoculars available to view the river. The entertainment area was very spacious I'm clean with plenty of tables and chairs. A nice dance floor area for a live band along with DJ. The more mature crowd with Hustle and ballroom dancing. Saturday between 5 and 6 are free classes. An excellent venue!!! 5 stars. *****

Nice low key park by belle isle. I went fishing here for the first time. It isn’t the ideal fishing spot because of all the rocks by the water but it was fun to be outdoors. The parking lot is small but the park is clean and well kept.

It is a low key park off Jefferson Street. Very clean and beautiful park. You can have a nice picnic, go for a walk, ride a bike. Or just hangout and chill with some music and snack. Enjoy the water and look in the distance. Love peace respect.

Lovely grounds to have a picnic met up with family and friends and really enjoyed the park. There are picnic tables already seven place for you to enjoy yourself. There’s plenty of stationary grills to use if you don’t have one I’m very family oriented and so is the park.
