Went to disc golf. The park is great. A little wet but as to be expected in April. It’s nice to have this little slice of the great outdoors in the city. I have seen deer the last 2 out of 3 times visiting.

Very lucky to have turned up to the park on Log Cabin Day, hosted by the People for Palmer Park. Why, you ask? Because free ice cream. Shout out to Guernsey Farms Dairy for their delicious offerings. Further into the park it feels like an urban forest, trees as far as the eye can see… until Woodward Avenue, that is.

Lovely, extensive, well kept, multi-purpose park with an iconic community house, MoGo bikes, children’s playground, log cabin and apple tree field. Perfect for a bike ride, a health fair, art fair or just a walk or a 5K run in the park.

Its beautiful place to sit and relax in the middle of town. Although it is going thru Lake remake in the middle and I hope it will turn out to be a great place to be.

There was a art/ Asian themed alongside other music artisans that was interesting & prolific in art metal, wood ,and paintings that was most captivating..... I felt at home with these artists and clergy..... When I was feeling down because of the beautiful music a random woman gave me a hug and prayed for me during my hour of need.... That's what community is in my eyes..... The great Henry Ford said it best "home is where you put your hat and that's just that!" 1930 model A Ford built at the Rouge plant. The silver medallion has Sagittarius on it and I bought it at the art exhibit.....

This historic park is complete with a Splash Pad, Urban Educational Garden, pavillion, Handball Courts, playgrounds, basketball court, MoGo bike stations, tennis courts and trails for hiking & biking amongst the largest forest in the Tri-County area. Plenty of benches. Dont forget to stop by and visit Lake Frances with its mini lighthouse.

This is a really nice park in Detroit. Park is currently under renovation for upgrades. I look forward to seeing this done. Picture I attached shows improvement plan. There is a playground for kids to climb all over. The pond has a walk way around it to stretch your legs. There were also dozens of ducks playing in the water. It's chilly out sho I was surprised to see so many. There are also horses kept to the left of the parking area. I think they may be city horses.

Palmer Park has a little something for everyone. The first time I came here with my 4 year old son, just at the start of spring, and there were geese with little fuzzy yellow ducklings everywhere! Do not feed or touch the animals(not a petting zoo) but a great place to see wild amazing nature... in the city. there are two parks, a lake with islands and a windmill, super friendly ducks who swim up to you .. dont feed them... leave no trace there are trash cans... there is a cool nature walk through the forest from one park to the other splash pads in the summer and alot of people who love this place. Yes it is in city, yes, there are maybe some things you may not see if you are from the burbs parents.. but hey! it builds character, teaching moments right?... no the fountain doesn't work...but it's pretty cool and the splash pad does work! The playgrounds are awesome. mind the one by the splash pad that spinny chair does go fast. there are tennis courts, handball courts, basketball court, and disc golf course! orchards gardens and primitive grade a Michigan forest... that is fully accessible with a fully paved walking path if one is in a wheelchair or pushing a stroller.

We love this park because not only is there a play area for the kids, but there's animals to feed and watch and there's a work out area, tennis court, forest trail and etc. Added bonus, I hate portable potties...but these were actually clean. Every one cleans up behind themselves.

One of my favorite places to walk and experience seasonal changes. Palmer Park offers paved paths, natural grassy and wooded trails, as well as a playground, tennis and disc golf! Perhaps most exciting is the future dog park for those with furry pals.

I attended the Palmer Park Art Fair for the 1st time….I won’t miss another! Beautiful art pieces, merchandise….GREAT EVENT! The childrens dance and singing team was a great surprise! Lots of activities to inspire the young artistic abilities of the children. The eats I got from the food trucks and vendors was tasty too.

You should stop by The Farmer's Market on Wednesdays 4:30-7:30pm. Check out the fresh harvest table from Clearly Local & Sustainable.

Palmer Park is an urban park which gives the nearby neighbors a place to stroll, walk their dogs, play tennis and sit by the pond (which could use a bit of maintenance.)

Very cool, and clean, park. No broken glass or tattered equipment. Dog friendly. Great space for a picnic. We didn't stay long enough to look for a restroom. We will definitely be back.

I go to play disc golf and while generally busy it's always a good time. Your choice between longs and shorts, and they are at different angles so the shorts are a fresh look at the holes. The dog park not only is new but also has lots of dogs I recognize, so it seems people who go to the dog park go regularly.

Beautiful park. Lots of nature to appreciate. I love the wavy rows of daffodils! Right across the street from my bestie's apartment, so it's a great place to take a stroll. I love that they have events there in the nice weather, like the art in the park.

This place has good potential but at night ... dear lord ... I don't know where these people come from at night but it's a different type of thriller at night . I'm talking micheal Jackson thriller ... it's a nice vibe during the day but at night I don't recommend

A newer disk golf course that's fantastic and challenging. The long throws, great use of trees, open fairway and woods make for an excellent 18 hole course. A few 600'+ longs are just absolutely fun to throw.

Nice well kept trails, sometimes can have a lot of litter but groups routinely pick up. As with most parks prettier in the summer with more activities happening then as well. Very dog and kid friendly.

I have always loved this park, at one point it started to get a little shady with some people that didnt belong but the police and city have cleaned it up and its a great place to go again. jog, play tennis, basket ball, ride bikes, splash pad, dog park, nature center, the list goes on and on. If you have never been here its a must the next time your in the D.

Me and my son's always have the best time at this park! They have two sections to the park one is updated and they also have a older version with splash pad a little farther down from it! Great place!

It's a beautiful and historic park which caused me to be baffled at the day to day maintenance. While it has been consistently upgraded in some ways, it still has a way to go. It seems there is no budget for keeping the grounds clean of garbage and weeded and the simple things like that. If the park has a board that gets paid, some of that money should be diverted to keep this gem more pristine than it is.

This is a very beautiful neighborhood Park. I was performing here for the "Palmer Park Arts Festival," (June 2021) featuring local Artists, Writers and Jewelry Artists.

beautiful!! Walked the trails and explored a bit for the first time. Well worth the trip. Had a lot of beautiful trails and actually had the DPD mounted division pass by me on the trails with some beautiful Clydesdale horses. What a sight hah. The small lake near the cabin was unfortunately empty and looked to be under repair or construction. Overall it was amazing and I'd give it a 10 of 10.
