My girls and I walk on the Riverwalk for exercise and this is our meet up place. Free parking which is a plus. But it also has snacks, alcoholic drinks and some food items. The Riverwalk revamp is really nice. The kids seem to love it as well.

Beautiful in the early morning. Just to sit and think hear the birds chirping, boats in the background and the water hitting the pier . There is plenty of seating, and many are up on their morning run this morning. Everything is maintained so beautifully. Short walk to the GM Renaissance Center. And the Carousel 🎠 is picture perfect.

Really pretty area right off the Riverwalk; beautiful views, a carousel, sandbox and a place to grab food. Definitely worth a trip.

Whenever I visit Detroit, I always like to stop by the Cullen Plaza on the Detroit Riverwalk. Over the years, this place has really been spruced up. There is now a nice grassy lounge area and a larger than life sandbox to compliment the bronze map of the original Detroit area, the Cullen Family Carousel, and the Riverwalk Cafe. This is probably the best location for photographing the GM Renaissance Center as you get that iconic night shot with the Detroit River to the left of the iconic building. Free parking for 2 hours is available, but parking may be difficult during the popular hours of the nights and weekends.

The area around here is nice and definitely worth visiting, but I wouldn't count on the carousel running. I've lived downtown near the river front for over four years, and have only seen this thing running a handful of times.

Very clean and safe. Nice playground and sand pit for kids. Also this is a short walk to spray fountains for kids to cool down in, they are in front of the Rencen. Beautiful Carousel only $1.00 per ride. Didn't charge the parent to ride with the child. :) Bike rentals are also available. Convenient outdoor restaurant that serves hotdogs, burgers, fries, icecream and other quick eats. Lounging chairs are set up along the riverfront to relax in. Good fun day at little or no cost :) We went on a Tuesday parking was free and right next to the park.

A really beautiful and fun addition to the Detroit riverfront/riverwalk. Thanks for being in Detroit and for maintaining your ride. I love the infinity reflection pool that surrounds it, and that it is located by food vendors.

One of the major nodes along the Detroit RiverWalk. The pluses are the bike shop, carousel, seating opportunities, free parking, drinking fountains, and beautiful landscaping. The cafe is okay. The public bathrooms get a lot of use and it shows.

Friendly and family fun atmosphere, full of families just spending time together in the sun watching the Detroit princess sail by on the blue water. Playgrounds, ice cream, attractions and a place to just lounge in the shade, a nice stop to anyone walking the river front.
