What a nice park. A lot to see for sure down her. Joe Lewis fist, look across the water to Windsor, Spirit of Detroit, artwork and historical monuments. Clean, well kept and family friendly. You need to check it out when you are in the D.

Beautiful tribute to late fighter. Needs to be cleaned off, maybe re polished. Drove from Lansing to capture a picture with this beautiful art ❤️😍

Really incredible monument located at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Woodward Avenue in downtown of Detroit. This amazing monument is a tribute paid to the legendary great heavyweight champion, American boxer, Joe Louis.🥊🏆💪🏻 It is said that The Fist represents the power of Louis' punch, both on and off the ring, as he was on the best exer boxing champions, as well as a symbol of fight against racism. The Fist is sometimes referred to as a "battering ram".

Go during the week because of parking but you gotta check out the Spirit of Detroit. There are other cool monuments nearby including the fist. Construction was also going on.

Fantastic monument for Detroit and boxing fans. It's really in a great location. Walk across the street at the crosswalks and there is plenty of room and safe too, I didn't feel I might get plowed over by an out of control car. Lots of people taking photos of others doing the fist pose. It's a photographers dream with the RenCen in the background in one direction. There are a couple other monuments close by on opposite sides of the road. If you go here, take the extra time to stop at The Spirit of Detroit. It's a very short crosswalk away. One of the must sees if you have the time.

A must busy in your way to Heart Plaza. It's so much nicer in this area from when I grew up in Detroit. In my youth of the late 80s and early 90s this was mostly an area of city born as many suburbanites avoided the area because of the crim. Glad to see its a vibrant city again!

My kids loved this fist! One of our favorite stops every time we visit. We try to get creative with posing. Dodging traffic is the only risk you’ll take to visit Joe’s solid knockout!

Took a picture of the famous Joe Lewis statue. I was driving by I wish I could’ve stopped and taken some details. Overall it’s everything I thought it would be! Breathtaking! It’s a true testament to Joe Lewis and to time as well! 5 star ⭐️ landmark!! Looks just as it does on TV! Thanks for checking out the review!!

While in Detroit I had to visit this art piece tribute to Joe Louis for a photo because… well, I’m a tourist and that’s what tourists do. I went late in the evening so no crowds at all. I was disappointed there was no plaque or description of this sculpture (or at least nothing I could find). Those without prior knowledge would just view this as a fist sculpture with no understanding of what/who it represents. The park south of this sculpture was closed, I think it is being renovated.

One of the things I like about America is their passion for history and the act of honoring legends. It felt so good visiting the monument of Joe Louis and learning about his impact while he was here

Great piece of art, with other pieces all around. As a Louisville- i have to say this may be Louis's town, but Ali's world. Ha

Born and raised in the Mighty Mitten and hadn't seen it except for TV. I was able to check it out along with the Spirit of Detroit. Those are pretty cool.

It was a fun 2 day trip to go see detroit from Toronto area. We were able to see all the attractions and stuff in just a day. Now compare to other cities in US, Detroit is a little old and run down but they have nice places to visit like belle isle island, Art galleries and nice eateries. But this place was under construction when we went if you go on the other side of the monument to Joe Louis then you can click pictures however no date on construction to be finished.

Busy area. Worth going to see. Nice day trip. Park in a garage makes it easier. GPS doesn't work well downtown.

Beautiful statue located in Hart Plaza on the Detroit water front. Stunning as you walk around and shift perspectives.
