Improptu date night.. $10 cover, there was about 6ppl in there when we first arrived (including Staff) lol the Bartender was friendly and made a good drink and I like that we could go on the patio with our drinks to converse, people watch and still enjoy the music.. I would say try it out for yourself..

I do security there and I love it we just got to expand the front a lil more so we can have room but otherwise I love my team light skin with dreads

Mix is a dope spot with an outside patio now. To see the growth over the years has been incredible. Great bar staff. Great DJs. And greats waitresses. The owner is very friendly and is always jumping in to help out. Dope place to take your friends for night out Friday or Saturday night.

I visited last night for date night with my husband. The venue was very small ( one way in and out.) It was very hot inside the venue and on the patio and my husband actually paid $41 for two long islands (in 10 Oz plastic cups... no glasses!) That was absolutely ridiculous and if he had told me, I would've sent it back. The bathrooms were outdated and were not clean! As hit as it was, the door man or promoter had the nerve to say, "aint no in and out" like my grandma used to, as if we were teenagers... which is who this venue if for on Wednesday nights! I will not be returning.

This is one of the best clubs downtown. Mixed crowd...banging music...great drinks and awesome food. Great job Angela...happy 10th anniversary.

Was not what I was expecting. I reserved a booth on a Saturday night, which was the one directly against the dj booth. The seat was torn, looked very bad. Ppl was sitting at the booth when I walked in. They should seriously get a dress code because it was not ppl was dressed any kind of way. Unfortunately it just wasn't my scene or music. But I did speak to the Manager Sasha, & she was very professional & nice she understood & was able to refund me for the booth. Also the patron margarita I had was very good

As I entered the venue last Friday I was greeted by the security guard who was very pleasant! He took his time to actually check my id and my belongings to make sure there were no weapons on on me or my friends..this may sound weird but I appreciate security who actually does good pat downs and show interest in their jobs Amd are there for the right reasons...Food was great and the atmosphere was a very chill vibe...I was later greeted by another security guard as he was patrolling the dance floor and back area. I felt safe and was able to relax which is a key point in bars in down town Detroit ..keep up the good work mix and great staff!!!

In my experience, this is the best bar in Detroit. I can't say enough good things about M!X. Their customer service was top tier. It was the staff that made my experience a positive and memorable one. It's because of the staff that my family and I will continue to be return customers. The entire staff was kind, personable, and fun. Charles was the bartender and I can't recommend him enough. Best drinks I've ever had. Delicious cocktails, quick service, reasonable prices. The music was on point. The artwork by Christopher Ahern made for a gorgeous aesthetic. You will not regret giving this place a try.

I went with a group of 8 other girls, and we made it fun, but it wasn’t inherently fun. There was only one bartender, and she accused us of stealing a shot, though there wasn’t drama so that was a plus. The music selection wasn’t that great but I went on a Thursday so maybe it was just slow. The drinks were strong though, so that’s a plus. I didn’t see a single food menu though, so I can’t comment on that.

I was in line for a show at st Andrew's and I was told I could order a drink. Great. Ordered one for me and one for my husband. A Hendricks and tonic with lemon, and a vodka red bull. First, they don't have lemon?? They served me straight gin. AND two drinks were $25? I got better drinks for cheaper inside the concert venue.

My boyfriend got charged $20 just so we could come in and order food. Music was very loud we couldnt hear each other talk so we went outside. We got our food to go. The food tasted ok.

Great atmosphere, awesome hospitality, good food, and awesome drinks! Prices were well worth the expense. My rum and coke was $10 and absolutely worth it! Honestly, as chill as this place was, I'd return and refer others.

I'm sure folk half my age love it. I prefer more upscale. Otherwise, friendly staff. I heard others say the wait for food was over an hour. I only saw one food truck.

The venue is very small. As a visitor from out of state I was deceived by the photos which are not updated on the Google photos. Not as renovated as it looks. Sitting is limited, drinks are expensive after paying enough money to get in. You have to go through a back door to order food? Closed in with a "security" who let people in free through the back door. Highly disappointed after having to pay seeing others come in through the "food door". I want my money back. Will not be referring anyone and will be letting others know about this establishment. On a good note, the DJ was dope. Only thing was worth listening to.

Great venue with the indoor/outdoor patio. STRONG drinks. Great music with mixed crowd. Had my birthday here and we had a great time. They also allowed me to set up my own decorations. Very friendly staff as well. Recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great time/ celebrate a special occasion. They also serve brunch on Sundays!

Small hole in the wall, nice vibes the DJ and host will keep you rocking! The time I was there the bathrooms were filthy and no one to service them often. The waitresses were on it they didnt miss a beat!

This place was jumpin’! The DJ played great music and kept the crowd in good spirits. Although the place was packed I got my drink orders pretty quick. Our waitress was nice and patient with each persons order. I didn’t eat any of the food but people in my group did and said everything tasted amazing. They offer hookahs in their outdoor section which is where you order food. And that also has a dance floor. So if you prefer to vibe indoors our outdoor, the option is there!

I work in the neighborhood of mix and I absolutely love making this place my go-to after work! Staff is great, I love the vibes and the music each time I come, and the food always has me coming back! I love the new edition, the “sandbox” it’s so innovative and fun! Eric and BJ are my best friends ❤️

Mix is always my go to spot when I’m looking for a vibe. The bartenders and wait staff are very tentative and nice. And I absolutely love the wings and the music and DJs keep you moving and grooving!

Luvd luvd everything about this place and the people the startender was a vibe she made sure no one got over on us out of towners. When food didn't come right she got it right she was the best and security was a plus. Poppa Detroit Sec was a whole vibe.

Amazing food, even better service, always a VIBE. The sandbox is the place to be all of the time. Easily the best bartenders in the city. THE BEST staff and BEST BAR in downtown Detroit. Run, dont walk to Mix/Sandbox. They will take care of you from entry to exit.

M!X is always a vibe! We eat good (salmon burger is my go to), get a nice buzz and the music is perfect. The staff is attentive and ready to have a good time right with you.

Lovely place to hang out with friends. The decor consists of dim lights and old type writers on display. It looks pretty small from the outside, but its a decent size once you are inside. There are plenty of drinks to choose from. I ordered the Ava Gardner and it was delicious! I, also, ordered a bottle of Ketel One vodka, and it came in a beautiful crystal bottle. Very classy. Definitely recommend this place.

Pleasant staff. Went for a b-day celebration. Small bar, intimate perhaps.. I guess that would be a good word. Wouldn't personally go back.

I love this place. Once a month my co workers and I do a lip sync battle there and we have a blast. Food is good, the bartender Courtney is the nicest and drinks are cheap
