The Love of God lives here. Grew up at Second BAPTIST and go there when I'm in Detroit.

Dearly loved by Michigan residents; I hear people who have been to Second Baptist church regularly. Their enthusiastic comments are always the best.

I am a former member of Second Baptist. I was Baptized br Rev Banks. Attended Sunday school, Jr. Church and big church weekly. That was my home. I LOVED Second Baptist. Many are unaware of the powerful political affliations associated with second Baptist. Not only was I brought up & Baptized there. I met my husband there, was married there, worked at the daycare and have the fondest memories. My Godmother was Ms. Ora Manfield Fowler. My favorite place was the ladies lounge on the 2nd floor.

Baptist Church that was once a stop on the Underground Railroad and has a plaque detailing its history.
