Newly remodeled and fabulous. The splash pad is great for kids and parents on hot days, but visitors beware- not all parents watch their kids and some can become unruly. The Coast Guard is next door which is cool, fishing allowed from the shore, public bathrooms are open and concessions are nice when they're open.

Another beautiful park on the Riverfront. There are a couple of waterfalls for the kids to play in and they were having a great time. I felt like a kid just watching them enjoying themselves. There's a cafe with seating. Restrooms nearby. The park is pet friendly. My grandson and I, of course he's too big and old for this park. He just thought I would enjoy seeing it and he was right!

We have been here a few times. Very peaceful, relaxing and kids can play in the water. Bathrooms are cleaner compared to other places and mixture of families. Kids bring your skates or bikes and have a ball. Get there earlier to get a spot to have a family picnic! ❤️

Beautiful little riverside park. Located on the Detroit Riverwalk, near Belle Isle. Very kid & family friendly, the local park staff keep it impeccably maintained and clean.

Loved when it was unlimited timing to visit here. The security didnt bother you, if you didnt bother him. Over the years the youngins have messed up the freedom to be able to be out without the worry of having to be in before dark. #peacefulbeforedark

This place is great for kids. The splash pad was really fun. There are shaded areas for parents. Washrooms are available too. My kids had a great time here. It wasn’t too crowded when we were there. Have a good view of river too …

Area is fine for hanging out especially when you have kids as there is a public fountain-like and swimming play area so kids can wear bathing suit and play around. There are some shades and plenty of benches. Husband and I tried to fish but got snagged several times but there were evidence of big fishes. Parking is a bit of a challenge but we found a spot on the side street. Enter through Mt. Elliott street and take your chance going there. It would be a walk going to the park. Free street parking.

It's a great place for kids to cool off on hot Summer days. Not to mention it's free! Can't beat free Summer fun. There is a small parking lot close by with free parking. When we arrived the concession stand was closed. It did open about an hour later. Lots of people brought their own food and drinks. It closes promptly at 7pm.

A fun splash park, right on the river. The park is clean and well-kept. There is a snack bar and also restrooms. Nice views of the river, Belle Isle, and Belle Isle bridge.

The city of Detroit had done an excellent job renovating the river walk. Mt. Elliot park is a gem. My husband and I often buy dinner (carry out) at a local restaurant and eat it at the river walk parks or Belle Isle. I was impressed by how clean, neat, and well taken care this Park is. There were two gentlemen cleaning the tables and benches every time someone was done using them. The restroom was spotless! Kudos to their staff!

On the warmer days this Winter, I walked the new section of the River Walk. I went from Mt. Elliott Park to under the McArthur Bridge. I had a lovely time walking the area!

Beautiful & clean park alongside the #1 Riverwalk in the USA! I recommend checking this park out. You also have a nice view of the bridge connecting to Belle Isle and Sunset Point at Belle Isle. In the summer, there is a nice pirate themed water play area for kids.

It's cool, but the Rent-A-Cops be acting like Barney Fife. Give them a little control and they go crazy. They need to stop hiring these crack heads as security fr.

If you come here earlier in the day,you can have the whole place to yourself. Gets busy later on. There's a cool pirate ship splash pad. Restrooms right across. Kids enjoy coming here.

Beautiful park! This was one of our favorite places to watch the fireworks for years! The park is clean with a beautiful view. It also has a wet area for children

A really fun splash pad for the kids! It's accessible to all, and it's free. There's a café and a large pavilion that throws a lot of shade. There is a parking lot for the splash pad at the end of Mt Elliott, and there's also free on street parking on the side streets.

Nice, quiet, peaceful walk after workout at Box and Burn . Sat in the park just meditating for a few minutes then left. Nice calm breeze today by the water. A handful of people were out fishing. It's early so they will come later. Love coming down here after my work outs and to fish and just take in the air.

It is definitely a nice park to walk around. It is very clean and the bathroom is clean also. I haven't walked later in the day yet, but I will. Then I will know for sure how the park is in the morning as well as the afternoon or evening. P.S. You can view the workers, laying the foundation for the walkway between My. Elliot Park and Belle Isle.

Extremely pleasant environment. I've only been twice (both times in the year 2021) and I was shocked to see not so many people in the area. The view is superb and there are great amenities such as a very large pirate ship themed play place for kids, a splash pad (currently not operating at time of review), plenty of seating under a large awning or in the sun by the water, vending machines, a café (that I've never seen open) and public restrooms (one for men, one for women, one for family). To my satisfaction, the ladies restroom was very clean and appeared to be sanitary. This area is bike accessible, handicap accessible, and a good place to walk around or sit in the hilly grass. Enjoy your visit!

The pros: Good water pad park fun for family. Was a good environment for family fun. The cons:Bees were off the chain. The sitting area the tables and chairs shouldve been cleaned more often. And the females bathroom wasn't clean floor was wet.

Boats racing across the water and skidoo zooming by, in addition, the music heard far away made the atmosphere in the park comfortable.

The park is very nice and well maintained; however it is a water park and the water feature has been turned off since the beginning of the pandemic. It has seating areas where you can relax and view the river. It has a concession stand but it is not open. The restrooms were very clean. I am giving it 4 stars because of the riverfront view.
